Natalia-65, Thank you. They recalled the bumps.

While crawling to the topic, all questions have already been answered! Linochka, Radushka, Svetyashka, thank you ! Natasha, I’m reading with you, and I’m talking about it. I decided, girls, to start making tea in June. I'll start with strawberries and apple trees. Maybe I'll add some grapes. I will only do Village!
Quote: Galina Iv.
I also walked across this field with a shovel and dug up a cow parsnip ... eh, it would have been the most fragrant, most useful, one leaf would be enough for the whole winter))).
Galyun, it seems to me that he is invincible. I had only three bushes, and not at all in the garden, but on the path behind the plot. I fought with him all 4 years and even burned. Uselessly . We were leaving, so he grinned at us goodbye ...

Lyudochka, Linochka, that's what I did gardening. I just missed that this method was called "Zakharyevsky". True, this year I may not be able to freeze the leaf, I hope to fill the freezer with mushrooms. This was in the last, dry year, there were few mushrooms and there was still a place in the freezer, I defrost and freeze until spring, took out the dried, played in general
Natalo4-ka, yeah, he is, Zakharievsky. Natasha, don't fill the freezer with leaves. And do the whole season little by little. And there will be a place for mushrooms.

But my grinder is not good
Light, mine, too, did not know before
And then I began to put quite a bit of leaves in it, literally a few leaves. And, surprisingly, it went well! And even faster than when she shoved enough into it. Sometimes I had to twist it back and forth in order to remove dense lumps back
She immediately began to spin quickly and did not clog!

Elena_Kamch, shoved a couple of leaves do not come out. Gradually collect inside and clog. Even the reverse doesn't help
Not defrosted raspberries are the most watery

Elena_Kamch, Light, hee-hee ... Girls, your grinders live some kind of their own, incomprehensible to us life. By the way, my tame ones also do not understand what I am offering them and how many - at least one leaf, at least 5, at least a whole handful - are choking ...

Light, Svetik, but I have all unfrozen leaves go better than frozen ones ... True, on electric. I took the hand ones away - my shoulder can't stand the hand ...
And the fact that your raspberry is watery is probably not dried out enough? You're better off being sluggish.

Good morning to all tea-makers
Girls, did anyone make honeysuckle tea? It is already ripe and its leaves can be used.
The girls made my first Ivan tea, though I was in a hurry to have time to process everything. Whichever part I did not have time to wilt, I immediately screwed up the balls with my hands, part with a crush, and it fermented with me for a day, not very dark in color, but very tender and fragrant. And the thing that wilted, also after that I rolled it into the sheet and it stood for only 3 hours, generally light, looking like green, but very soft and fragrant when brewed. I had to break the technology in some places, but still they took it away from me. We still have to do.

Ludmila, I have it not dried at all. I collected it at work and, in my opinion, immediately into the freezer (at work). Autumn leaves, and therefore did not dry out.

well, I thought so. Light, everything is sluggish, even the autumn leaves. It seems that they are dry, in fact - there is excess moisture in them. It is better to dry the autumn leaves in a cloth. Then they will definitely not dry out. Or how do Lina - wrap it in a cloth, hold it, and then put it in the freezer.

Last year I didn’t make tea from silvery sucker, the remnants of leafy 2014 are very fragrant, added to other teas. If it doesn't rain on the weekend, maybe we'll go. Since the spring was early this year, the sucker must have already faded.
I really want cherry, but there is nowhere to collect leaves.

Girls, boys and all tea lovers, I want to return your attention to these posts

Quote: Dilara

Hello everyone! Maybe my first tea-making experience will be interesting to someone. It really was a very long time ago, then there was no Internet and such competent teachers. When we went to pick berries, we were shown the herb from which our ancestors made tea. And we several people started making tea. I remember the leaves crumpled a little and put them in an enamel bowl under a press, the more advanced ones wrapped them in oilcloth and put them under their mattress to ferment. Dried simply in the air. Translated from Tatar, this herb is called (mullah's herb). It is strange that no one mentions this herb, it is positioned here as tea herb. The tea was delicious and brewed very hard. Botanists said it was a forest geranium. It grows in bunches. flowers are pinkish lilac. leaves are carved.

Quote: Zachary

I have been collecting meadow geranium for a long time. But I didn't even think about fermentation. Thanks for the tip. I mow it with a small scythe, otherwise it is inconvenient to tear. Usually it is covered with a carpet. Here is a photo from the last trip.

This year, spring is early, and this miracle - a flower - is blooming on the mountain forest lawns. And so "Forest Geranium" or (mullah's grass).

Geranium survived by the method of Zechariah.

left for fermentation for a day (cool in the kitchen and indeed for the experiment), drying 30 minutes 160, 1 hour 60

after drying, with the help of a druslyak, separated the tea fractions into granules and a fine residue

Bottom line: after drying, it vaguely resembles Ivan-tea by its Smell after drying, color (GORGEOUS). Astringency with this color is too small, but let's see it will be in half a year, although I already know the answer (everything will be as it should)

It's not a color, it's something with something

Zachary, thanks for reminding and showing again the process and the result. I remember those posts from last year. And I even went to look at geraniums in my meadow. But then I had no time for geranium ...
Girls, don't miss it! I highly recommend it, especially to those who do not have Ivan-tea.
Zakhar - photo - otpad! The granules are so strong in the end ... Beautiful tea! So I wanted to have a glass ...

Zachary, very beautiful tea and photos, everything is ready for a separate recipe. Do it please. It's much easier to find it in the recipe topic.
But we have never seen a meadow geranium anywhere.

Zakhary, thank you so much for such photos and tea report! I scouted meadow geranium plantations two weeks ago! We have regular rains and her leaves have become larger than usual. I don't know if it is blooming already? I'll take a look on Sunday. I really want this tea!

Fofochka, Lena, and what is it - garden geranium? Is this the one who lives on the windows in winter?
If it is, then I don’t know ... It’s unlikely ... But in mixes everything behaves well. Well, let's wait for Zakhar, what he will answer about the garden geranium.
Radushka
lappl1, Lyudochka, garden geranium in properties, as a medicinal plant, does not differ from other species, as far as I know. And, here's how she behaves in tea, I think you need to try.
I have this geranium in my garden. But, for tea it will not be enough. Will grow - I will definitely
Fofochka
lappl1, Yes, it looks the same as the forest in the picture. I have her 2 colors pink and purple.

Here is a quote from our herbalist

tea can be made from any geranium, it has no poisonous representatives. It's just that the leaves can be smaller or larger.

Do it boldly, I think it will not be worse in bowls, it will add color

I scrolled and put it in the dryer, first at 65 degrees, and now it is drying on the middle one. Tomorrow I will continue, I hope it won't rain.

Good day, dear tea-makers.
Fate brought me this topic yesterday, when I thought about what to do with mint. I gave out one recipe last year and was not impressed. This spring I even planted the monarda very correctly - it turns out I need it, I love Erg Gray.
I will study the topic, but I did not find anything in the table of contents for sage. I want to do it with mint. The leaves are drying now. Who tried it?
She also picked the leaves of an apple tree, a pear tree, a peach. Is it possible to add rosehip petals to them during fermentation - now it is blooming.

Lapulechka, Larissa, girls simply dry the petals and add them to the finished tea. Do not ferment.

Lapulechka, Larissa, welcome to tea themes! We are very glad to see you! Stay with us and we will make tea together.

I don't remember any reviews for sage. But I didn't do it myself - a lot of other predictable material. Although there are tannins in the composition, you can even try to ferment. But I would not do them with mint - mint has a very strong smell, it will overwhelm sage.
Quote: Lapulechka

I do not advise. If twisted together with the leaves of other plants, they will get lost there. And when dried at high temperature, their aroma will disappear. If not twisted together, the petals will simply burn out during drying. And all your work will go to waste. Do as it is written in the recipe and Svetiashka answered you (Svetik, thanks) - dry the petals separately in the dryer and then add to the finished tea.

Larissa here is a little about sage
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=389380.0

I did it over time, tried it, not impressive. Nothing bad to say, but there are much better options.

dry the petals separately in a dryer
My dryers ordered to live a long time ... New in the plans only at the end of summer. Moreover, I read here about the fermentation of rose petals. I will make them separately.
Zachary, thank you very much. I have several bushes in my garden.
Today we were in the floodplain. I noticed a thicket of blackberries. They are still too small, but when the mushrooms start, about August, it will be just right.
It's a pity you can't make tea from oak leaves
Mandraik Ludmila
We were weeding now, I just found sage, last year I planted it and forgot to weed it well, but I remembered that it should grow in this place ... We don't ferment so strongly fragrant, we just dry the land in bunches, my husband brought a thin birch tree broken by elk, hung it horizontally from the ceiling and we hang on this "rail" to dry what we do not ferment: lemon balm, mint, basil, there are braids of onions hanging there.
Vasyutka
Lapulechka, Larissa, I made sage tea last year. fermented for 8 hours. Dried at 65 gr. Added to teas. I agree with Lyudmila just dried is good too. And in Provencal herbs and rinse the throat.
Linadoc
Girls, don't ferment aromatic herbs for so long. Enough 1.5-2 hours and in a container closed with a lid. And it is better to dry without frying and at a temperature not higher than 60 * C, preferably 40-50 * C. Then there is an option to keep some aromatic oils in the herbs. But the pharmacological properties almost disappear after fermentation, even this short one. I liked the mint after such a fermentation, the taste and aroma was like a mint candy.

Mandraik Ludmila, the monard will grow. It grows like a weed. In my village near Vyazma, it grew in the shade and in the sun. They did not cover with anything. We had, of course, not the northwest, but we also had enough of all kinds of natural disasters - we endured everything.
It is only better to make it like mint, not to ferment it, otherwise it behaved worse in the mixes during fermentation than alone, simply rolled in a meat grinder and dried.

Elena_Kamch, Lenochka, thanks for the photo! Now I will have an idea what you and the bears are competing for.
Girls, I highly recommend paying attention to snakehead! It's a miracle! He is also from a number of aromatic. I did it like mint. Excited!!!! Sowed with seeds collected in the fall (from a neighbor). This is a one-year-old. But it's worth sowing every year. I brought the seeds with me and brought them here. This year will not work, but the next I will definitely sow. I like more than monarda. The first was drunk - added to ready-made tea mixes.
