Cranberry jam

Category: Blanks

Ingredients

Berries 450 g
Sugar 450 g
Lemon acid
+ 1 tsp water
(instead of 20 g lemon juice
on prescription)
1/4 tsp

Cooking method

  • The cranberries were frozen. I can't experiment yet, because I made jam in KHP for the first time. Therefore, I defrosted a little and then follow the recipe instructions.

Note

The jam turned out to be very aromatic and in contrast to sweet and sour. Delicious.

Only one BUT. maybe this is the way it should be, but I have a little sugar at the bottom, although I first laid the berries, and poured sugar on top. Do you need to reduce the amount, or so maybe?

Apych
I would still mix the berries and sugar by simply shaking them in the mold.

I cooked cranberries today. half a liter jar of cranberries for half a glass of sugar. Kislyachek, but nra to me Pre-mixed everything with a blender. At the exit there is a small jar.
Conclusion: it is worth boiling in a bread maker for long-term storage. To get drunk - you can mix and boil a little in a saucepan.
But tasty to love

Excellent cranberry jam, tasty, healthy (y) But I feel like HP does not need to cook jam Do not scold me for these thoughts, but listen and decide what to do. you probably bought the next HP Bake bread in HP, and cook the jam in a special dish, there is no one, cook in pots with a thick bottom, preferably steel 18/10.
A proven method: covered the berries with sugar and left overnight. Stirred in the morning and put on a light fire (this can be done at any time convenient for you during the day). They interfered gently and the sugar dissolved in a few minutes and began to boil. Turned off and until a convenient time for you. Stirred, brought to a boil and set aside again. Decide what kind of jam you need: now for use, then it's enough to cook, and for a long time, then boil 5 times and that's it. What berries should be - soft or like candied fruits. Then repeat the cooking several times or stop cooking. Try it. The jam is ready.

I have been making preserves, jams from berries, plums, etc. in several steps for many years.
I want to cook apple jam. Never cooked before.
There are apples. Sweet and sour.

There are utensils for making jam.
And so does the double-bottomed pot.
