As he himself admitted, the purpose of the "button" in the heating element is not clear to him.
In fact, everything is very simple here - there is a temperature sensor in the button, which detects the heating temperature of the bottom of the bowl, pressing against it when the bowl is inserted into the pressure cooker. Two blue wires go from it. Yellow with green wire - ground.
And I would also like to draw attention to the heating element, or rather, to three wide metal brackets (curved plates) of black color, screwed to the heating element. It is through these brackets that the heating element is attached to the inner case. This flexible, albeit very rigid "suspension" allows the pressure sensor screwed to the bottom of the case under the heating element to operate. When pressure builds up in the bowl, the seal ring expands between the lid and the bowl, forcing the bowl to press on the heating element, which sags relative to the body, literally a little over a millimeter. This movement is enough to trigger the sensor, opening its contact. This is a signal that the pressure is gaining 0.7b, while the heating element is turned off, stopping heating and further increase in pressure.
