- I don't remember why, but for some reason it is recommended to soak with the addition of salt
- in beans, especially in red, a lot toxins, not very useful for our organisms, so it is advisable to boil it and drain the first water

To be honest, I previously performed all these procedures only with chickpeas, since they wrote about it like this on the forehead - to soak for a day and drain the first water in order to reduce gas formation in the human body. I just soaked the beans, without plums, and cooked the lentils right away, but poured out the first boiling water, because it was not very tasty to me.

It turns out that you also need to drain the first water from the beans.

Any beans, chickpeas take a long time to boil, so I rinse them several times in warm water and soak them overnight, then drain the water, pour in new fresh water and cook until tender.

Well, and also, who and what he loves - for example, I hate "mashed peas" in the soup, so I cook in my own way.
