Russian, I realized that the valve in the recess should rise. I myself do not believe in marriage, because devices must be checked before being sold. Otherwise, what's the point, they are still under warranty ... But the management principle is so simple and unambiguous that I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong. Before that, I mastered the technique without any problems. I will try again.

no panic) it rises, but visually it is not so clearly visible. Less than a centimeter and it is in the recess - do not wait for it above the lid))

1.the valve that is with a spout should look at you
2.as written above, pour a liter of boiling water, close the lid (until it clicks)
3.set 20 minutes
4.Try about 10 minutes later - does the lid open (logically, it should be locked)
5.if it opens - open and check if the water is boiling

I tried to open the lid (just in case, all of a sudden I didn't close it) - does not open.

Mashery, so the lid was blocked - did not move at all, fit tightly to the pan, or did it move and you just could not open it?
Perhaps something is wrong with the lock?
The lock somehow catches and holds the valve !?

It looks like our Temka went on a diet together.
Since my Redmond is at the dacha and I cook in it only on weekends, I show that I cooked in other pots.

I baked a cheesecake "Fair". Pressure cooker VIMAR 164.
I found a package of cottage cheese with a deadline in the refrigerator.
I was looking for something that would not be lost - I came across this casserole.
I did everything as in the recipe, only I added raisins to the curd.
Baked for 1 hour 10 minutes - 45 and 25. I heard that it smelled strongly of cocoa and turned it off.
Well - that's what happened.

Although there is no instruction about it, I baked it in foil.

Sintered - excellent!

I tried using POLARIS FLORIS as a Sous Vide - cooking in a vacuum.
After reading good reviews, I bought 2 chicken breasts (for testing, I think, suddenly I will not like it).
Poured spices and into a baking bag.
Of course, I could not create a vacuum, but I squeezed out the air as much as possible.
I put it on "Multipovar" 60 degrees and 4 hours.
Here is the result

The taste is juicy and very tender.

And for dinner, a chicken (chicken) in its own juice. Pressure cooker VIMAR 164
Here
Pressure cooker Redmond RMC-PM4507
Completely frozen chicken (1kg 100gr), washed, wiped, rubbed with salt and pepper.
2 onions, 1 carrot, bored on frying (made a fucking chicken pillow out of them) and on top of the bird itself, did not add water.
I set the "Extinguishing" mode for 40 minutes.
I noticed when you put frozen on hot - a lot of steam is formed. Slightly pulled the saucepan by the handle up and sharply down (Alexey's advice). The valve closed immediately and after 2 minutes the speedometer showed the time.
I didn't release the pressure. Immediately transferred to a glass pan.
During transportation the wings fell off... It was necessary to put 30 minutes.
It turned out very tasty, boiled horns for a side dish.
Frozen chicken comes out much softer, tastier and juicier than defrosted chicken.
The opinion is not only mine, but also those of my family.

I drink coffee in the morning, I think. I will do without breakfast (for known purposes).
Well I should have gone into this topic. Oh! Lenchik! What a treat! How can you look at this early in the morning. Saliva can be used up.
Flax, what is POLARIS FLORIS? I know the kind of staff about Su.

Albinka, I noticed you in that Temko

POLARIS FLORIS multicooker, I first bought it for a summer residence, and then replaced it with Redmond. It has a "Multipovar" and the temperature is regulated from 30 degrees to 160 degrees in 10 minutes. And the time is regulated too. So I decided to try it. Although they recommend a temperature of 62 degrees, I set 60 minutes for 4 hours. It turned out very tasty.

Try and think it will work. Just try to squeeze the air as much as possible, if it floats up, put a plate on top, the bag should be completely covered with water.

I didn’t order, but I think if the sizes fit, then it will do.
This saucepan has a very good bowl. I decided to use it without a spare wheel, but I have 3 toons.
And if one, then of course you need!

Where is the discussion? Hasn't anyone bought it?
I have this miracle. It also included a cord with a switch and a recipe book. The cooking time is set manually. I like that in this sense I am, as they say, my own mistress. In a multicooker-pressure cooker, there is also a protection system so that the assistant in the kitchen does not become an enemy. I also like its function for reheating the finished dish. It is worth noting the bowl, which has a special coating. Thanks to him, nothing has ever burned.

girls, help!
I made up my mind for six months, chose and when I got the wrong word for everyone, I bought this pressure cooker. I really like her, but I'm a beginner. Fried potatoes today, explain to me who can,
1. first close the lid, turn the valve to "closed", only then set the minutes?
I set to fry the potatoes, 24 minutes, began to fry, and quickly and need a little oil at all, I dropped the program, closed the lid, like I wanted to extinguish, turned the valve "closed", naturally she did not extinguish, but switched to heating. then into heating, then into heating, so I did not fry the potatoes. How did I need to shoot the program? and can you do it at all? Sorry for the stupid questions, but that's a bit tight
until she didn’t, she calmed down, and then I turned on the frying again, but a good husband came and screwed me over here and again the SC switched to heating Help, explain how is it correct?
natalia27
To prevent the pressure cooker from switching to heating mode, after the end of the cooking time, turn it off (the switch is on the cable). If you want to continue, set the time again and press the button on the cable. During cooking, the HEAT and PRESSURE indicator light will alternate between, even if you are cooking without pressure.
And yet, as I understand it, you fried potatoes with a closed valve, under pressure. In order for pressure to form, steam is needed, and this requires liquid. If you cook without liquid, then the valve should be open and it is advisable to fry with an open lid, and bake with a closed one.
mamel
Thanks for the answer. Consult more please ...
- I put it first for 24 minutes, then I twisted it back after 7-10 minutes. Is that all already? is the program canceled? Turn off, ask for example another 10 minutes. and turn it on again - right?
- and if it ticks, what does it do? Oh! at home everyone laughs at me, I whined so much that I needed, but now I can't cope;
- and if I fried and then covered it with a lid, then I leave the valve open and the SC continues to refine these 24 minutes ???

Thanks for any advice, I would like to get used to it as soon as possible and still please my family of as many as 4 people
natalia27
I'm not sure if this is right or not, but I also increase or decrease the time during cooking by turning the wheel. The program stops only after the end of the cooking time or if switched off on the cable.
And the fact that ticks also annoyed me at first, but then I stopped paying attention to it, after a while the ticking stops.

At the beginning of the development of multicooker and pressure cooker, especially if the pressure cooker is the first, everyone has such problems, and when you understand how this device works, then everything works out.

I have the first pressure cooker, and the multicooker is 4, but it still doesn't work out very well for the time being. Today I put the meat and potatoes for 40 minutes, the valve is open, since there was no liquid, after 20 minutes I open it to mix and salt and surprise - the meat and onions are burnt, and the potatoes are raw. I had to pour some water and because steam began to form, I could not close the lid, I had to turn it off, let it stand with the lid open for about 5 minutes, and only then the lid closed. Work on mistakes - it was not necessary to pre-fry the meat and onions, but immediately put it together with the potatoes.

Unfortunately, we learn from mistakes. There will be questions, if I can answer.
mamel
it's good that there is internet.
is there a clear loading sequence, for example: put food in, turn the lid, close the valve, ... or? I now want to check the closed mode. I put pieces of meat, poured water, closed the lid for some reason with the valve closed, set it for 25 minutes and wait. Red lit up, then yellow, the program has finished ticking (it either works or not, is silent, does not tick), yellow is on. button, I'm at a loss, is my meat cooked there or not?
mamel
everything is clear, the lid can be opened, it means that I did not gain pressure ... I did not understand something here
natalia27
Do not pay attention to the ticking, the program will end when the arrow on the wheel is at the top and the set time ends. When the program ends, a bell will sound, if after the bell the button on the cable is not turned off, the pressure cooker will go into heating mode, if you do not want the food to be heated, turn it off. And the fact that alternately HEATING, then PRESSURE should be so. When the HEATING is on, then there is intensive heating at this moment, and when there is no heating PRESSURE and the temperature drops, then HEATING is turned on again and so on. I already wrote that this is the principle of operation of all MV and SV. When a pressure cooker operates with an open valve, steam comes out of it very strongly, and when it is closed, under pressure, steam comes out of the valve almost imperceptibly. At the end of the process, you need to wait for the pressure to drop or open the valve for steam to escape, but this must be done carefully, you can seriously burn yourself.

If it did not gain pressure, then the valve was open or the lid was poorly closed. The valve is closed it should be looking at you, but it is open from you

I went on a business trip, I didn’t take a pot with me of course) .. I came, I fell for it :) I did: Jam (prunes + currants + sugar + a spoonful of gelatin), lemonade (lemons + tangerines + sugar + currants), pea soup with smoked bones with pork .. and mulled wine - heated)) If there are questions on the above (timer), I will answer with pleasure! I also made stuffed cabbage, with mid-season cabbage from Mom's garden)) .. 8 minutes - under pressure ..))) You can eat with your hands! juice still flows from hand))
As a child, my mother taught me: if you can take a cabbage roll in your hand, then it’s a BLUEBERRY)) If not, then the minced meat is wrapped in cabbage)) I always adhered to this commandment .. even in the army in our pressure cooker for 7-8 minutes, with gravy ..

The very week on the forum did not look - vacation. Yesterday I also got it. I cooked a lot, but in Vimara. Redmond in the country.
This is the picture I found in the kitchen this morning.
Pressure cooker Redmond RMC-PM4507
Yesterday I baked "Omelkin grape pie" in Vimara - 1 hour 10 minutes.
Left to cool, did not want to cut hot - these are the remnants of the night tea.
I will not describe the taste - everything is clear and so.

Thanks for the tips! Understood, made friends! I cooked all weekend and everything worked out! She made soup, buckwheat, even baked pizza. This is class! The food really differs in taste. The pizza didn't even have time to cool down - the children ate it. Fluffy, juicy. I did it at the same time in the oven - there is a difference (gas oven, it's drier there). In general, thanks to everyone for the feedback, helped with the choice !!!

Yes, the place in the kitchen is a disaster, I have already partially captured the balcony. The husband grumbles. I just cooked vegetables on the salad with a closed valve for 20 minutes, as a result, the carrots were cooked very well, and the potatoes boiled a little, probably the quickly boiled variety was caught.

Everyone thinks so at first, and then they buy more and more ...
Yesterday I persuaded my husband to make small shelves in the kitchen (I bought a ready-made one at Epicenter).
Now I dream of one more
mamel
Yesterday I boiled potatoes (in water), cut them into halves, set them for 20 minutes. - boiled over, you need less. This morning there was red borscht, everything is fine, and the beans (pre-soaked) are raw. But first, I put the meat on the bone for 15-18 minutes, took it off, then fried the carrots, onions, beets, poured the broth there, put the beans and everything else - this is the result. You need to boil beans with meat. well, nothing - there will be experience. I left for work, I’ll come and think of something ...
mamel
catching it or something, and not all raw, maybe it did not interfere properly ...
natalia27
It's just that the beans themselves are not cooked at the same time, some beans are boiled in mashed potatoes, while others are still hard. The test for readiness of beans is called "five beans", that is, 5 beans are caught and everyone is tried, if all the beans are soft, then all the beans are ready, and if at least one hard beans are cooked further. I haven’t cooked beans in a pressure cooker yet, but I put meat and all vegetables at once. Today I bought beans tomorrow I will cook borscht, what will I write.
mamel
After my borscht (in the morning) I left it in the heat and came home for lunch - I opened it and lo and behold! Everything is cooked and boiled !!! All the beans are ready and the borscht is ready!
Yesterday I cooked charlotte according to the recipe from the book, of course I didn't measure the ingredients on the scales, but everything turned out just fine !!!! I didn't fall, baked (of course, the top is white), I put everything down and calmly went about my business. I like SC more and more!
mamel
somehow you need to try to cook milk porridge, I have never been friends with it ... Yes, and especially with baked goods, but cooking in the UK is at least more convenient and easier.

Dear forum participants! May I join this thread and ask about the work of this multicooker pressure cooker? I bought this saucepan, I'm very happy! But ..... sometimes the pressure does not build up in pressure cooker mode, although I do everything the same way, I always close the lid with the valve in the "open" position, close the valve, set the time and ..... sometimes nothing happens. That is, heating is in progress, but the pressure is not building up. Another time I do the same thing and everything goes as it should! I flushed the valve, pressed the lid, but still every time the lottery: lucky, unlucky! There is nothing to break! Maybe someone had this?
natalia27
Wickwick, in order for the pressure to build up and the multicooker to work in the pressure cooker mode, there must be liquid. When baking and baking, it works only in multicooker mode, that is, with an open valve. Maybe that's the reason. And also pay attention to the O-ring, it sometimes does not lie flat. Fry preferably with the lid open so that there is no overheating.
Wikwit
Thanks natalia27 for the answer. I know about liquid, I can't cook without it. I use a regular frying pan for frying. And in a pressure cooker I cook something to save time. Here is milk porridge in the morning, naval pasta according to the recipe from this forum, stuffed peppers, boiling potatoes, compotes. I tried the charlotte oven, once it worked, the second time it came out tempered. I recently bought this saucepan, but I'm used to using it every day.

oh, girls my dream came true - I bought what I had long dreamed of. Multicooker Redmond RMC-250 is now my # 1 assistant in the kitchen. This is the newest model, I have not seen a topic on the forum dedicated to this particular model. Can you tell me? The main feature of my wet nurse is the "Master Chef" function, which allows you to change the temperature regimes in almost any program. Convenient, right? After all, we love to experiment in the kitchen. The display is also good enough: firstly, it is located on the lid, and secondly, it changes color (while showing whether the dish is ready). For those housewives, like me, who value quality, convenience, functionality first of all, this is a pretty good option.

Your model is very interesting. This is a new model and therefore there is no topic yet, but I think it will appear soon. Your saucepan is a slow cooker, and in our temka is a pressure cooker. It is slightly different - it works under pressure. We will be happy to advise you. Enjoy cooking!

Good health to all.
The day before yesterday I looked after a 6.0 liter Saturn pressure cooker in the store, and yesterday I went to buy it.
Horned, or maybe fate, took me to the "Buffet". And there ... Redmond for a little over 60 cu. e. I could not pass by, given the equipment, support in the Internet about additional. equipment - bought.
In the evening there was borscht from the recipe book. Nice impression. The saucepan endured the sautéing perfectly. The taste of borscht with pork ribs exceeded expectations. The wife noted that the taste is like from the oven.
He called the borscht "lazy". After sautéing onions and carrots, and a short stewing of the beets, he threw everything at once, without bothering with cooking meat broth. So:
- sautéing - 3-4 min.,
- stewing a vegetable mixture with the addition of beets (instead of tomato paste - 2 sour tomatoes) - 12-15 minutes,
- set pressure - 15 min.,
- cooking - 30 min.

The outlet volume is about 4 liters. The total time is about an hour. I don't know a lot or a little, but it is convenient and not at all troublesome.
The guy was absent in the kitchen, only pleasant intestinal (wrapped in) the smell. Silence and unobtrusive clatter of the timer.

And now a question for experts, please tell me.
In an excellent, informative recipe book, the time is indicated for dishes prepared using the high pressure setting.
So that's it. Is this the total time or the "clean" time, that is, the time that must be set after the valve is closed?
Thanks in advance for the clarification. Hello everyone, Vladimir.
Wikwit
I want to answer Mazayu about the time on the timer. I set the time right away, I think that the manual means the same thing. If the time had to be set after the valve was closed, I'm sure it would have been written that way.
natalia27
Smear, congratulations on a successful purchase. I also bought this pressure cooker by accident, I was very glad that you can buy additional bowls. When you close the lid, first select the valve position "Closed" for pressure cooking and "Open" for pressure cooking, and then set the desired time. I set the time a little with a margin for a set of pressure. Good luck in learning.
Mazay
Thanks for your answers and attention.

natalia27 special thanks for the congratulations and I must admit that the purchase is really successful.

Today, at the request of my girls, I cooked borsch again. I laid the cabbage in 10 minutes. until the end of the general process.
It boiled down less and remained a pleasant white-pink color.

And more. I thought that the compliments and praises from my women were just a tribute to my husband, father, grandfather (and let's just say - their little trick).
But the granddaughter, who is indifferent to borscht, asked for supplements today and said that from that moment on she would only eat my borscht.
I realized this is serious.

So thanks to the wonderful saucepan. With her help, I became a leader.
Mazay
Today there was millet milk porridge from the recipe book.
I had to cook it twice in a row. The first portion was consumed without a trace and instantly.

After a while, spec dessert. Honey cake.
Half ate just like that with tea, and the second decided to soak in sour cream.
The pie is delicious, no doubt about it. But soaked it tastes even better.
You just have to be patient and wait for it to leak.

The younger half of the family complains to me.
If this continues in the future, then their diets and gyms - sideways.

Really. The taste of food from a pressure cooker is significantly different.
Apparently, the manufacturer's statements that the technology contributes to the preservation of nutritional and taste qualities is not an empty phrase.
This doesn't work in a saucepan on the stove.

When millet millet porridge is cooked to readiness in 15 minutes and without continuous trampling near the saucepan, this is already a lot of advantages!
olla_13
Smear, tell me please, laid the cabbage 10 minutes before readiness, how's that? did you cook under pressure? or unplug and open the lid? )
Sone4ka
today I discovered that now our Redmond is in the foxtrot for only 499 UAH.
considering that it has a great bowl, a spare silicone ring, a steamer and a stand, this is a very nice proposition.
Mazay
olla_13 yes, it blew off the pressure after the first stage. I put the cabbage and another 10 minutes under pressure.

When quickly relieving pressure, do not move the valve immediately to the "Open" position (some of the contents may fly out).
It is necessary to release the critical pressure lightly, by impulses, lifting the valve nose, and then completely open the valve.
When restarting, the pressure builds up almost instantly.
olla_13
Smear, thank you very much.

I just bought it at the foxtrot that week. This is their action until November 27. 499 UAH and insurance 20 UAH is required.

My husband and I decided to cook borscht to try. True, they screwed up, they did not read that they recommend boiling it. The borscht smelled all over, I had to pour it out.
Now they boiled it, the smell remained a bit, but I think it will go away with time. I will try to cook porridge for the child in it
