Aygul, so, how are you?

Let's assume that hissing while maintaining pressure is normal.

I just put a soup made from potatoes, cauliflower, carrots and meatballs for the child to cook. Valve in position, see photo. The set time is 20 minutes, since there are meatballs in the soup, the child is asleep, you can take your time, let it boil well

It practically reaches the 2/5 mark, which corresponds to 1l 200ml - the total volume of the soup.

The pressure built up quickly, the water was warm from the kettle. It hissed, then the float rose, there was silence for 5 seconds and through the holes in the valve was heard "bearing-whistling", and so it goes.
annnushka27
This is also the case in Liberty. Watch this video from 03min. 40 seconds, steam comes out during operation there too. True, according to Polaris. 🔗
Aygul
The set time has expired, the pressure cooker has switched to Preheat mode. The pressure was released, the lid opened. Here is the result. Everything is just perfectly cooked, everything is soft, the meatballs are ready.

The valve did not "freak out", not a drop splashed, only hissed slightly.

I think I understand what the matter is. This is a feature of this type of valve. If the valve is with holes, then excess pressure comes out through them, this is where the "bearing" and a thin stream of steam, sometimes with droplets, come from. Judging by the video, this applies not only to small ones (I was a bit sinful about the volume and power), but all pressure cookers with such a valve. Here I figured it out
Sandy
With what holes?
I also have holes, but he is silent like a partisan during interrogation or my holes are not the same

annnushka27
There is not because of holes, there is such a structure inside, one piece of iron is turned, and does not fit snugly, at least in Liberty.
Aygul
here, too, does not fit snugly, otherwise there would be no steam and hiss. And so there is a light aroma of the prepared dish. However, this does not bother me. It smelled very tasty when reflowing the milk
Sandy
Aygul and how much does it weigh together with the packaging (it should be written on the box) pasari pliz
Catwoman
Aygul, does the pressure hold when "bearing"?

I do not know with packaging, it is not written.
and in the instructions net weight 305 - no more than 4.4kg

Aygul, does the pressure hold when "bearing"?
Lena, yes, the pressure is kept, the liquid does not rise, the lid does not get dirty. But there was only milk, but there I did the valve in different modes, and with free pressure too, that is, without pressure, that's when everything got splattered.
Aygul
What I cooked yesterday, partially the day before yesterday

For yesterday's tomorrow was corn porridge. Set the time to 10 minutes. The pressure built up very quickly. As usual, the valve felt a little "bearing", but since I was no longer sitting next to me, I did not look at the SV, this did not bother me at all. When it was unlocked, I opened the lid and it is clear that the milk did not run away anywhere, a light rim just above the level of porridge - it rose slightly when the pressure was set.

Aygul cool porridge
And in what proportions did you cook it to have such a consistency? This is regular corn grits, huh?
And where did she stay overnight, in the pressure cooker or just in the saucepan?
Aygul
Sandy, do you like?

The proportions are as follows:
washed corn grits - 3/4 mst.
salt - a small pinch
sugar - 3 tsp. without a slide or 2 tsp. with a slide
milk - 3 mst.
water - 3 mst.
oil drain. add to the finished porridge, mix.
Leave in a closed pressure cooker overnight.

Milk + water = 6 mst. If you plan the porridge for now, then it is very liquid, you need to take less liquids, cook for 5 minutes longer. Considering that I left for steaming overnight, and we love milk porridge - smudges, it turned out perfect for us, although at first, when 6 multi-cups out of habit, I thought that it would not absorb, but nooo, just the opposite happened. With what I compared. With porridge in a ratio of 1 full MCT of cereal to 6 MCT of liquid. then it was normal, but still the grains in the morning porridge were felt. And here it is perfect for us. Even the eldest daughter appreciated, that is, ate
Sandy
Yes, I like everything I wanted to cook, but nowhere did I come across proportions ... and here I see you cooked
Thanks for the recipe

A regular multi-glass for 160 ml. or other ?

In the afternoon borscht was planned, and it was necessary to leave for an hour and a half, the borsch dressing ended, and there was a good piece of meat on a small bone, which there was no time to cut, I decided to cook it whole, strain the broth. It's good that I have 2 pressure cookers. I put broth in Unitka, beets in Redbere.

I put the washed beets, poured some water, decided that I was not cooking for a couple, there was no time to experiment, added water to cover the beets completely.

since at this time I was still putting the broth in the Unit, then I saw such a picture
Pressure cooker Redber MC-M305 - reviews and discussion

The valve hissed, gurgled, "spat", the bubbles rose up about 3 mm from the valve, it happened that they sprayed directly onto the cover near the valve, or water flowed down there, which immediately evaporated. It seems to be seen in the photo. But it never splashed by, did not scald, steam may or may not have been. But since I now know that this is normal, the pressure cooker continued its work, just before the exit time ran out, disconnected from the network, and we gone.
When they came I opened the lid, drained the water, set it to cool. The eldest daughter decided to learn to cook (another impulse), came with the question: "How can I help?" She nodded at her beets - peel, rub. She was very surprised at the softness of the beets. The pressure cooker SETS!

with the advent of the pressure cooker, this is our usual daily breakfast option. I cook once a week, and I don't even think that someone can not do it, because the proportions are unknown

a glass, yes, ordinary for 160

I have a bit of porridge left, I must either start breakfast myself or cook 1/2 mst. What? In a small pressure cooker you can
Sandy
Nooo, I cook milk porridge regularly, this is exactly about corn, I meant, as my hands did not reach the corn grits ... I did not know in what proportions to cook so that the consistency was like yours
Aygul

PySy. They have already eaten everything. The saucepan is washed. Tomorrow will be fresh porridge
PySy 2. What pleases? The fact that buckwheat used to have to be cooked 2 mst. by 2 times, because they did not eat at one time. And then the beauty was right. My husband went to breakfast and started shouting from the kitchen, why there is so little porridge. This, I say, is all for you, darling. The kids have already eaten
Sandy

Now I'm talking specifically about buckwheat. it does not absorb as much as barley, corn, rice.Liquid is completely obtained from 1 mst of buckwheat + 1 liter of liquid, with milk "broth"

No, I just measured it with a measuring cup to the 1/5 mark, I have a little less than 800 ml.

do you have 4 liter? so it turns out? 800 * 5 = 4000ml = 4L

Yes ? Fuh .... I was scared that it was impossible, I cooked and did not think, but then it dawned on me that less than 1/5 could not be so and ran to measure
Manna
No, maybe I just don't know something. And is it really very scary?
How do manufacturers explain exactly such a minimum volume in pressure cookers? Overheat? So there is a protection system ...

I don’t even know, they don’t explain anything, it’s just written in the instructions, protection against overheating, it can affect the quality of the cooked
Manna
Well, they also write in multicooker that you can cook at least 1 cc of cereals, but we cook porridge from 0.5 cc.

In a 5 liter cook half a cup of cereal ... it is smeared on the bottom, first of all, I don't like it myself. Secondly, maybe this is my pressure cooker so sensitive to the amount of food, I don't know, but with a volume of less than 1 liter (or at least up to the 1/5 mark) when cooking milk porridge, milk was everywhere - both on the sides of the bowl and on the lid pressure cookers .. maybe a coincidence and this milk was of poor quality, 2 times, but somehow I accepted that the volume should be as the manufacturers write, at least 1/5.
Sandy
I don't have milk in place always, and does not fizzle, regardless of the amount of products. For example, I cook compote, so I pour it to the very top, much higher than the mark (upper) and never once sprinkled through the valve and hissed, as always, silence and odorless.

Aygul, I've seen enough of your corn gruel here, I went and put it to myself, in our unit 1020. There is just corn grits, I cooked it once and that's it. I hope it turns out delicious, only I poured more sugar. just squeaked, I'll go watch (eat)!

Valyusha, glad to have inspired you How did it happen?

Probably, I'll put it in a separate recipe. I really liked these proportions.

Aygul, the porridge turned out !!!
of course expose the recipe! otherwise I had never made corn porridge before, and when I bought cereals, I did not know how to cook it.
in my SV I cooked on "oatmeal", first 15 minutes, then opened, mixed and for another 10 minutes. tasty !!! only I was still swelling sugar, and poured strawberries on top, thawed and grated with sugar! delight!

One evening, well, I did not know at all what to cook. I took minced meat out of the refrigerator, fried onions, carrots, minced meat. And then what? I threw the remnants of pasta, broken spaghetti, salt, pepper, poured water, set the timer for 10 minutes. The result was not navy-style pasta at all, but a la Lagman with delicious broth. Well, very tasty, honestly. The whole family almost swallowed tongues

ValyushaBefore that, I was so strained on the topic of "what to cook" (it happens to me), but I could immediately take it and do it. It's very easy with our assistants.
Well, I checked the frying mode for one. You can fry in this pressure cooker by removing the lid. Fries very well, quickly, although the power, it would seem, is small (700 W).

In Libertoshka, I got used to getting porridge right away, after an hour of cooking it turns out to be a mess like I love. But sometimes I put it on at night too, only I add more liquid.
