Girls, tell me, please! Can I bake in this slow cooker? Which mode should I use if there is no "Bake" function?
Aygul
Sabrina-007, this pressure cooker has no modes at all. There is a mechanical switch, that is, the time is simply set.
I didn’t make baked goods, it’s not my size, it will not be enough, but if you consider that 15-20 minutes are cooked under pressure in other pressure cookers, then it should work out here too. Only the portion needs to be halved, since the recipes are mainly for 5 liter bowls, and for 305 - 3 liters.

Aygulchik !!! I congratulate you on the new thing !!!
As always, I learn all the most interesting things later than everyone else, well, I'm not curious, until I get into my eyes, I don't see.
SSvetik
You cannot bake in this pressure cooker. I've tried it. In it, until the pressure is collected, the timer does not turn on. And since there is no liquid, then the pressure is not gained. A red light burns until it overheats. And then she just goes out. I even tried to put a glass in the center, and dough in a circle. I thought that at least she would dial. It didn't work. I tried to turn it on and off at intervals - it does not work. So there is no baking.
Aygul
Vichka, I am going to write well you made me laugh You congratulated me on the last page
It's just that I only cook porridge and beets in it.

Come on! Really? I reread the whole, almost the topic, from 1 to 4 pages, I did not see myself ... the vacation affects the glory !!!
Well then, congratulations for the third time !!! Just put the pot next to it.

The instructions say that when the specified time has elapsed, the timer knob will go to the "Off" position. But for me it does not go over, it stands at the same set time. Is it like that for everyone or is it a marriage?
Aygul
Sabrina-007, this should not be so, this switch should turn to the Off position, it stops at 2 divisions (i.e. 2 minutes) and clicks, but I already know this and set a longer time in advance. While the pressure builds up, nothing turns

Here I also had the switch knob when I wanted to bake. This is not enough fluid and pressure builds up. The timer knob starts turning when the pressure cooker builds up pressure.

Thank you. But try something very simple so that you do not feel sorry for the products. I also wanted this pressure cooker to bake, but, alas, three attempts were unsuccessful.

Aygul after three months how is the pressure cooker experience, how does the bowl behave? I look closely at the 2-liter one, but I can't make up my mind until I know why I need it.

I have a 2 liter one. I took it especially for my 4-year-old grandson, so that his parents cook soups for him. It turns out great for meat, chicken and vegetables. The saucepan behaves like a normal "adult" electric pressure cooker with fur. management. I myself cook separately rice and barley in it to add to soups cooked in my large SV (Brand 6050 and Simbo 5006). The 2 liter Redbear pan makes a solid impression - a double-sided non-stick coating in a dark steel color. For 4 months. not the slightest sign of scratches or discoloration. Pot weight 325 g.

Well, here I was, only 205 redber for 2 liters. What a tiny saucepan. The valve works almost silently in the process, but at the time of pressure build-up it is a little loud. I put the potatoes in their uniforms to boil for 10 minutes. I'll see in fact how much will come out with a set and release of pressure. 19 minutes before the CB timer turns off and 27 minutes from the start of cooking without forced release of pressure. The potatoes were cooked - they didn't fall apart, they didn't crack.
Aygul
Congratulations! Let it serve long and efficiently! Checked before buying? And the saucepan, yes, it seems so milipuseny, and in general, the pressure cooker itself is unexpectedly small, which is cool for people who are used to large volumes
Stafa
The size of the SV is like a small Panas (everything is small for me), only the handle protrudes slightly higher. But in terms of the volume of the bowl, the difference is noticeable. The upper risk in CB is 1.5 liters, although now you won't be able to cook a lot.

and what are we going to do in two liters?
Stafa
Boil the soup, eat a couple of times, stew potatoes, but I haven't come up with it yet. But the fact that this is just my size is, Panas is a little too much for me, as it were, I eat it then I get tired. And my husband, like a fresh hotz, doesn't eat for more than two days.

Shl. I cook broth with a slow lye, porridge, too, and jellied meat. I have a slow one that is fully involved, but some things do not work out in it, so for this case there is now a pressure cooker and Panas will also work hard.
Aygul
Well, it's cool that you took it, there will be at least someone to discuss it with
sima12
Girls, do we have 3-liter pressure cookers in Ukraine? I want a little one too, but I haven't found anything
Stafa
Today I made a combined hodgepodge and fried onions, carrots in the SV and then added all the meat and cucumber and put it to stew for 5 minutes under pressure. After the pressure dropped, I opened and transferred all the components to Panas, where I finished it, as I got a little hot with the volumes. You have to get used to smaller volumes.
But the bowl upset me - it was welded in one place, although the liquid was in oil and at first I began to fry. But I soaked the bowl, then everything seemed to be washed off. And the bowl dries up - and in that place the stain is cloudy. That is, the shine of the bowl in the place of burning has disappeared. Then I boiled it with lemon - the stain remained. In short, I'm tired of rubbing it - let it be. But this is clearly not a Panas coating, which glitters like new after 1.5 years of merciless operation, I never had a coating with muddy spots on cheap Ashanov pans, although it happened that something burned. Now I will take a closer look at this bowl.

Shl. And for the second time I already scald my hand with the merging condensate, that I will not make friends with this lid in any way.
SSvetik
I noticed that this pressure cooker does not turn off during frying. If it overheats a lot, it is simply cut down until it cools down. If I fry something, I periodically twist the handle. I put it on "5 minutes", the cooker heats up quickly. When I see that it is already starting to burn, I turn the knob to "off". When the cooker has cooled slightly, I repeat the procedure. Fortunately, it fries very quickly, and it all does not take much time. And, probably, only thanks to these procedures, my saucepan is still normal.
I’m not at home now and I can’t check it in practice, but I spied on the girls in the Saturn topic, how they put the lid on when they cook. Maybe this can be applied here too?
Quote: azaza

And on the second question. The lid is very well attached to the side. The angle, however, turns out to be too large, but it keeps quite securely

Thank you, holding on. It remains only to try hot, how and where the condensate from the lid will go. Fastened in this position only in one place - above the drip tray.

Light, can I congratulate you on SV? Well, how's the new thing?
Stafa
Masha, thank you. I have already taken SV by reducing its tasks. Therefore, as if for soups and so on in small things. As IRR said - it is not decent for a lover of pots and without SV, try nada FSE. So several conditions coincided - the size of 2L, the price (1590 rubles - it was not a pity, if anything) and the function of the pressure cooker. While I am burning my hands from the habit of the removable cover (and I don't understand in any way, otkel spit me). And a bowl with spots now, I'll see what happens next.
Masinen
Well, for such a price, then)) and 2 liters, it's like my Redik 01 mask)). Glad for you) sv need, maybe he prepares everything very quickly !!!
Stafa
Well, in terms of speed, I doubt it, I measured it with a stopwatch - a lot for a set of pressure (9 minutes) and for a release, if not forcibly - after 8 minutes I blew it off, I was tired of waiting. So 18 minutes of current set and reset at least + 15 minutes of potato boiled = 33 minutes, in a multi 1 hour is cooked on stewing (it is possible less, but I always forget about it). The gain is not very big, as I actually expected. But sometimes this gain in time is needed, rarely, but nadot.
Stafa
I put potatoes and meat to stew in a village style. The valve closed after 4 minutes. I set the cooking time to 20 minutes. After 26 minutes, a crackling sound (such as a sound signal) sounded and the SV switched to heating. I pulled it out of the socket and waited for the opening, today I will definitely wait for it with a stopwatch in my hands. After 36.5 minutes, the SV opened itself. Potatoes are necessary, the meat is harsh (some kind of running son got caught). I put the barbecue sauce and put it on for 15 minutes, finish the meat.

Shl. I have been saving burnt fingers all day today with a lifeguard ointment. Now she has burned her left hand, but she has cut off from where the hot water is pouring, such a good stream is pouring from under the pressure relief valve. Now we need to look for a position in which there will be no chance of scalding.
vernisag
Yeah, I thought such a little sv cooks faster ...
Stafa
Irin, how much I read on SV, did not notice the obvious speed in general with the time of pressure rise and release. And the power of the baby 600W is not a meteor, obviously. Although the brands are 5L with a power of 1000W. But basically - I cook the same potatoes in Panas for 1.5-2 hours on stewing, and the volume is slightly larger than here, so which side to count the time from.
vernisag
Well, yes, the power is probably too small I just reasoned, the pans are small, there are few products and it should cook sooo quickly
I just just cooked potatoes with meat in a cuckoo in 40 minutes, and I kept thinking that it would take a long time ... (550g of meat + 1kg of cards. + 2 onions. + Carrot ....) but there is a sensory program, the time itself exhibits.
Stafa
No, not a lot, just potatoes that 1 piece, that 10 pieces will be cooked the same way - at least 25-30 minutes from boiling until cooked on the stove, so that more food will increase the boiling time, but not cooking.

Shine, come on more carefully. I generally lift, remove the lid in some position in which it does not pour, but how to explain ... exactly like that. Never scalded. Do not rush to grab a hot one, let it cool down better, and you on a cold one will understand how it is necessary so that water does not pour out, your hands do not burn
Stafa
Yesterday my husband and I practiced how not to burn your fingers. Here's a science - moreover, I'm reading right now in parallel about the pressure cooker Saturn - there, by the way, the same problem is voiced by the people. So I'm not the only one scalded ... But already successes in turning the lid without consequences appeared, another 10 thousand buckets and a golden key in our pocket .

Light, congratulations on the new thing!
Honestly, I did not understand what you are burning about, I hope you will soon get used to it. And it will be faster to cook if you yourself relieve the pressure, and not wait for it to cool down, especially if you are cooking non-liquid dishes, nothing will happen from self-letting off steam.
And the time saving will be tangible, it is better to increase the cooking time itself by 5 minutes, and bleed it yourself. But the cups from Redber, of course, g ... but rare. Do you have a bottom with honeycombs?

is it like "flipping"? It just needs to be removed from the CB and put in the same position (I put it on the stove), so that if water runs, it will not be on the floor. I had other "nagging" about SV, but it turns out that this too

The bowl is smooth, without honeycombs. Yesterday I stewed potatoes and the spots seemed to disappear.
Regarding the burning, I remove the lid and it turns out that condensate from the steam discharge valve flows down to my hand, and for some reason it is more convenient for me to hold this lid in this way. Moreover, I have been cooking in the cartoon for 1.5 years and there I just threw off the lid and nothing flows, and there are no additional valves either. And here this dump valve hangs like on a string and flipping the lid it flies out, and from there it pours. Moreover, I have a pressure cooker, there is condensation only inside the lid, but here catch it on both sides. Yesterday I practiced how to cope with the lid without losses. That's where the dog rummaged, who would have thought.

Does it work? Got it? That is, I lift the lid almost horizontally, it has no chances to pour water, there is no tilt so that the valve could fall out. In this position, the water does not even drip down, the drops are all kept on the lid, and then, when it cools down, I bring it to the sink to drain the condensate.
Stafa
I got used to it, since there is a habit of turning the lid vertically. Only if the handle turns out horizontally, then nothing is scalded, but if the handle is vertical - PPC to the hand, it will scald.

I don't turn it over either, but I shoot horizontally, nothing drips and does not burn.

I have a lid holder and I put it there mechanically in an upright position - that's the habit of lifting the lid upright.

I put in a compote of fresh apples-cherries, the large pressure cooker is busy - making the stew, for 10 minutes. The water turned out to be 1.5 liters, the rest of the volume was occupied by apples and cherries
Aygul
It turned out to be a good compote, 1.5 liters after straining, and I took out the bowl from the pressure cooker in an hour. And before overnight I left it after 1 minute under pressure. I liked it so.Over the evening, all the compote and drank
Stafa
And today I made kharcho in a baby, it's so wonderful to cook in small proportions. Before that I cooked 2 liters in Panas, this is the only soup that mush can eat for three days with pleasure. Since I planned to do it by 1.5 liters at a time, I reduced the components by 1/3.Everything turned out as it should in terms of density. The broth with meat was ready for me, I fried onions and carrots in a pressure cooker, stirring occasionally and turning off the heating SSvetik and then, when all the ingredients were added, I closed the lid and immediately turned on the soup program for 20 minutes. Probably, this program is for raw meat in components, but everything was cooked just fine. Moreover, it was cooked without me, we went to the store, but first I put it on the timer socket to turn off the heating. Arriving half an hour later - calmly opened the lid - finally did not burn. And voila, kharcho is ready. Redber credit.
Aygul
Svetik, well done!
And I can't figure out everything with milk buckwheat, in what proportions to cook or how long to put, so that it tastes good to me. The husband eats, and the children do not refuse, but I don't even like it
