Quiche with salmon and chavroux goat cheese

Ingredients

salmon fillets 250 g
soft goat cheese 150 g
puff pastry 250 g
milk 150 ml
leeks (I have shallots) 2 stems (2 pcs)
butter 40 g
egg 1 PC
dill 1 bundle
salt, taste

Cooking method

  • A good option is to use leftovers from certain foods: puff pastry, salmon, goat cheese, or any other soft cheese. I found the recipe in the magazine "Best Holiday Dishes".
  • Cut the leeks (in my case, shallots) into rings and fry in butter (20 g) until soft.
  • We spread the puff pastry in a round shape, cut off the excess and make several punctures with a fork.
  • Spread the fried onions and the remaining butter over the surface of the dough. Put the salmon fillet slices on top.
  • Mix the egg, cheese in a bowl, dilute with milk. Add salt. pepper.
  • Quiche with salmon and chavroux goat cheese
  • Fill the salmon slices with sauce and bake at 200 * C for 25-35 minutes. Decorate with dill, lemon, lettuce.
  • Quiche with salmon and chavroux goat cheese
  • The quiche can be served warm or chilled. Enjoy your meal!

Note

Kish is an open unsweetened pie with egg-cream filling and various fillings.
The classic French recipe is with shortbread dough. There are other options - from puff pastry or yeast.
Sometimes the quiche is made without a base - just filling and filling.
The pie is firmly attached to French cuisine, however, the French borrowed its recipe from the Germans from Lorraine.
There it was molded from the remnants of food: pieces of meat, vegetables and dough, which was left over from kneading bread.

Irish,if you like fish pies then hope you enjoy it!
I made this quiche with fish for the first time (I had to eat the remnants of salmon) and the result was very pleasing!
Thank you!

Marishwhat delicious food!
I stole the recipe. I will definitely cook !.

Marish, is this cheese very specific?

Marishawhat a beauty !!! And it's delicious ...
I will definitely try!

Marishki, Thank you!
Try it - it's delicious and cooks very quickly. The taste of goat cheese is not very specific, but with what an aftertaste!
True, I like hard goat cheese more and I will tell you a secret, I put a little hard here (grated on a fine grater).
Most importantly, I used the remains of the fish. It has been so long since our native Far Eastern salmon (where have you been?).
And now I have finally had my fill and fed everyone enough ...

Marina, authentic French cuisine! Very beautiful, appetizing, delicious combination, and at the same time not difficult to cook!

Arochka, thank you - very nice! Cooking is so easy. And considering the German version (from all sorts of leftovers), it is also economical. But the French brought their own charm with all kinds of cheese and now we also have aesthetics here!

Marinochka, thanks for the fish pie! I don't really like to bake the quiche just because of the dough for him. And since it is possible on puff, then this is just wonderful. I will definitely try. I have a current question: was the salmon raw?
MariS
And thank you, Ksyusha!
Yes, the dough can be different - the Germans even used yeast. And the salmon is taken fresh and cut into thin pieces - everything is baked well. Very juicy and tasty, try it!
MariS
Apparently, yes ... But your primacy is without a doubt!

Happy last holiday!

A very simple and delicious recipe! I really only had salmon lying around, there was no goat cheese, I made it with ordinary feta, it turned out - you just lick your fingers! I take the recipe to my favorites.

Zhannika, I'm glad that I liked the recipe! I also use any soft cheese that is in the fridge. Cook for good health!
