Ingredients

baked (boiled) chicken breast 1 PC.

cream 20% 200 ml
cheese 100 g
small tomato 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • My family is very fond of open savory pies, I bake them especially often. There can be an endless variety of options on how to bake such a cake, it all depends on your imagination, the main thing is to make an unsweetened base from shortbread dough, which can be the most ordinary one - classic and with the addition of yolks and with cottage cheese and sour cream. And the filling and filling can be almost any. A pie with this filling is one of my favorites.
  • Sift flour, add salt and diced butter, beat with a blender until you get a wet crumb. Add water, knead the dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. (I usually make the dough at night and bake a pie in the morning.)
  • Cut the onion into thin half rings and fry until transparent in butter. Cut the chicken breast into cubes or tear into fibers. Cut the cheese into cubes. Finely chop your favorite greens. Cut the tomato into half rings.
  • Distribute the dough in a mold (shape approx. 23 cm), make sides. Mix onion, chicken, herbs. Put the filling on the dough, gently pour the cream, salt and pepper. Put tomato slices, you can lightly sprinkle with herbs.
  • Put the pie in a preheated oven (up to 180g), bake for 40 minutes.
  • The pie is delicious both hot and cold.

My dough is half of whole grain flour and with yolk according to Nika Belotserkovskaya's recipe, and I took your filler, only added 2 more eggs to the cream, which is often found in recipes for quiche fillings.

Everything worked out!

I repeated it according to the recipe without license, that is, without adding eggs. I added finely chopped bacon and broccoli inflorescences to the filling.It turned out delicious, everyone noted, but it was not very convenient to eat. The tasty dough crumbled very hard, and the filling disintegrated. It was not possible to put a single piece beautifully on the plate.
So who cares about aesthetics, I recommend adding yolk to the dough, and whole eggs to the filling.
And so the recipe is excellent and just a lifesaver.
