Natalia, nuts are good))
Once upon a time, I still studied at school, I baked every weekend, only on a mold for gas stoves, I still have these molds ... just don't bake in them
I took another waffle iron from the neighbors

found now on Avito Spalis,
Kate, they often pop up and prices sometimes do not depend on the state! I realized that for 500-700 rubles (excluding delivery) it is quite possible to buy an almost new one!

There was also a fallback, similar to mine, the waffle iron looks very good, but for some reason the seller did not consider it necessary to show the photo open, although she wrote and asked .. .. 🔗

Yes, this is also Spalis - even on the sticker there is an emblem of the plant - a wide letter "S" in a circle! I bought exactly the same! My 87 has a year of release - I don't know about this one.
Maybe, of course, the seller does not have the opportunity to photograph at least with a phone, I do not know what other reasons may be. After all, the waffle iron, even judging by the handles, the regulator and the protruding ends of the wafer panels, was practically not used.
Katko
Thank you, Julia and Tatiana
It was difficult without your detailed reports and stories about nuances

Tatyana and I picked up a version of esta
First you need to decide what kind of waffles you need! If they are thin and fragile, then Esta comes first in them! Spalis' wafers are denser, but with an interesting airy texture. I specifically tried it on the same test - I have it without baking powder and soda, but you can see from the breaks how many air bubbles there are inside.
Katko
Yulia, I need for savory, bread ... and the texture of me and yours is like, it looks like crunches, and I like thin ones, it would look like Finkrisp's ... probably ...

And I tried to bake waffles from Hong Kong waffle dough in my GF-020. Unfortunately, I didn't have time without a photo. But the waffles were successful, although the shape differs from the traditional one for Hong Kong ones.

If anyone needs a recipe, I took it here:

🔗

I took Haas custard as the custard powder.

The only moment is when I make waffles from a similar batter, the waffle iron turned upside down on a stand begins to burst very strongly with steam and the dough that is increasing in volume. Now I understand where there were a couple of reviews about "explosions" on the Yamarket.

I found a way out for myself: if the dough is liquid, then pour it, count down 10 seconds, turn it over, wait until steam starts to flow, and return it to its original state. In this case, the lid is not fixed as tightly as in an inverted form, but this did not affect the quality and speed of baking the waffles. After the strong steam has passed and the dough has settled, you can turn it over again, but I didn't notice much difference - in both cases it bakes well and very, very quickly. I think this is because the main function of the "overturn" has already been completed - the dough is evenly distributed over the form.

There is only one way out - you need both of these waffle irons!

Here it turns out what's the matter .. And then I think - did not come across such - neither with noise, nor with bursting. For thick waffles, I make the dough thick enough - not pouring.
Doxie
Yulia, I also racked my brains how among so many positive reviews I came across such. I also have no problems with a thicker dough - the Belgian ones from the recipe book, and with cinnamon from the same, are excellent baked. The dough, of course, increases in volume and the gap increases slightly due to this, but this does not cause any problems. Moreover, for the Belgian dough, not to say that it is very thick, but still thicker than for the Hong Kong ones.
In Hong Kong, it is just like that. Well, by the way, and this did not become a problem in the end - they were baked with a bang, and even so blushed. Next time I will try to take a picture, the hunt is very brag And the speed is so good!

Elfa

win-tat, Tanya, just saw the question. I really like the dough recipe. I used only -5 yolks from large eggs, 2/3 cup sugar, 200 g butter pack, a packet of vanilla sugar, added 1/2 tsp salt, 70 g mayonnaise, 3 cups flour and 1/3 cup corn starch. 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Rolled balls of 7 grams. The filling is boiled condensed milk. The nuts are not sugary, crumbly.
I tried to do it as quickly as possible and from cold dough, so less oil flowed out.
This recipe is on our website.

Natasha, thanks for the recipe, we need to get the nutty socket from the cartoon and try it.

win-tat, Tanya, have you tried the dough recipe from Dancing for baskets? She speaks of its versatility ... I am now ripe to try it in hazelnuts (I made baskets - super tasty) ...

Girls, maybe someone tried this dough for hazelnuts? Tell us about your experience, please

No, Light, I have not tried.
But then I noticed that I am making good shortbread dough, in oven pies and baskets it behaves perfectly, tender, crumbly, and in tartlets it turns out tough, you have to wait a day for the filling to soften a little.
So I'm afraid of this with nuts.
Svetlenki

but in tartlets it turns out tough

So all the same, this comes from fundamentally different devices in which nuts / tartlets and baskets / pies are prepared. I took into account. Thank you

something happened on the first page of the topic - links to some recipes lead somewhere in the wrong place. I was looking for a good recipe for cottage cheese waffles, I click "CURD WAFFLES - Omela", but there is no recipe - it takes me somewhere to an arbitrary place of conversation. well, maybe not arbitrary, but specific, because from some other links, below the above, it was carried away there. In general, since I did not find what I was looking for, I had to dispose of the pack of cottage cheese in another way.

Hello everyone! I thought of buying a hazelnut Binatone NWT-920, but it is not available anywhere. I caught the eye of POLARIS PNT 0401. I did not find any reviews at all on the Internet. Can anyone have one? What do you think is worth the risk and take?

Lera-7, Svetlana, but on the Binaton website there is.

Or is there something wrong with delivery? They seem to be delivering across Russia.
Lera-7
mish, Natalia, I am not very happy that they have a prepayment, only the phone number of the service center is indicated. And delivery will be expensive (delivery in Moscow + TC services). So I began to look for an alternative to Binaton.

Girls anybody have a GFgril GFW-015 waffle iron? I read here everyone praises GFgril GF-020, but in our video m. The price for it is 2590,
and GFgril GFW-015 for 1990, I was about to buy it, but I went here and was confused ... I sort of tuned in to square waffles and the price is good, but 020 seems to have less power and with overturning troubles (extra gestures) and the price is more expensive, but rave reviews ... but about 015 here on the forum I did not find anything ((
can someone dispel my agony of choice?
tat-63
Svetlana. I bought it a few days ago. I like it. bakes fast

at first I wanted model 10 but there was no where, then I saw it in m-video I bought
telez
I have GFW-015, I just took it in M-Video for bonuses. This is my first waffle iron for thick waffles, so I have nothing to compare with, but it suits me perfectly. True, sometimes there are problems. It depends on the recipe for the waffles: some bake well, and some are capricious. Perhaps the regulator needs to be adjusted for a specific recipe.
Maya Lebedeva
I have GFW-015, it bakes well, without whims. I took it at a discount on Ozone in September 2017. No complaints. And she made potato pancakes, baked zucchini waffles, and sweet. There are no complaints about her

No, the power of the GF-020 is also 1000, in mvideo they simply indicated it incorrectly. And the coup - I really like it! The waffles are fried evenly!
sveta-Lana
Girls thank you all for the answers, it seems like doubts are gone, I will buy GFW-015
I still have a Soviet one for thin waffles, I bake tubes and cakes on it, so I wanted thick waffles, and besides, to bake not only sweet ones,
I thought for half a year whether I need it or not, I saw GFW-015 and I really liked it outwardly, the reviews on the Internet seem to be good, but I trust the reviews from the Bakery more
Doxie
Girls, who have GF-015, and her lid is somehow fixed? Or does it rise during baking?

And here I wanted a waffle iron for thin waffles. But a budget option is desirable - within 1000-1500 tr
Does anyone have some good budget appliances? Cloer are great, but I need a cheaper one ...
tat-63
Sonya, the lid won't fix, it won't lift

I think if you don't overdo it with the dough, then it will not rise
Doxie
Tatyana, thanks, understood! Apparently, due to the heavy top panel, it is pressed.

The lid may lift up if the dough swells too much. It depends on the recipe.

Girls, I bought a waffle iron GF-015, decided to try it, turned on the red indicator, turned the thermostat and immediately the green indicator came on,
and the instructions say that it should catch fire when the waffle iron heats up to the desired temperature, but it immediately caught fire, what does that mean? what about you?
it turns out that when the waffle iron is heated, the green indicator goes out
tat-63
Svetlana, everything is correct when it warms up it goes out
sveta-Lana
tat-63, Tatiana, thank you, they reassured me, I already thought that the defective one was caught,
it turns out that the instructions are not written correctly
sveta-Lana
Girls, I want to once again thank everyone for the feedback on the waffle iron GF-015
I like her soooo
although the test baking was not successful, I took the recipe for Belgian waffles from the instructions, I did not like it, it turned out fatty and not sweet
but then I baked potato waffles and I really liked it, and potato pancakes are generally superb, I now bake them every day
but today I had to figure something out quickly, grated 1 potato, added salt, added half an egg, put the meatballs cut in half on top, sprinkled with cheese and the rest of the potatoes on top, 5 minutes and everything was ready, in short, I ate it, washed the plate, looked at the clock, it turned out, that 15 minutes passed from the beginning of the food in the waffle iron to the washed plate, I have never had lunch so fast, tasty, satisfying, unusual ... in general, not a waffle iron, but just a find

Hello!

Tell me please! Maybe it was discussed, but there is no time at all to read everything ... We urgently need a waffle iron for thick waffles as a gift. Not huge, probably better for 2 pieces. There are quite a lot of them ... And there is a range of prices. Which one is better to choose? Who has any? Help....

Elena17, Elena! The power is good. Nothing sticks. The waffles are baked perfectly and quickly !!! Easy to take out. The coup is easy, it gives a good roast from all sides. What else to say? There are simply no complaints about her. Nobody. Here, half of the forum has exactly these waffle irons for thick waffles. The price is very low and the quality is excellent.
Elena17
Thank you! Now I would like to find somewhere else at a discount ...
Sedne
I also have GFgril GF-020, one of my favorite waffle makers, I don’t think the price for it is high, with its speed, with its quality, it is not cheaper. I have a cheaper one and neither coverage nor speed can be compared, for me personally, speed is very important, the crust of the waffles is what I need. Expensive waffle makers are Bork, Frifree, KitchenAid, but certainly not GFgril GF-020.
