Girls, why put it on top, I just understand, but why, before cooking (if you don't need to add it and increase the volume), remove it from the outer wall of the bowl? How can it interfere there? Only by the fact that the review is flawed or what is more serious? Maybe the temperature difference is true?
I am very interested in this because the thing is very large and it will be very problematic to attach it somewhere, but here it is, as it were, in its place and, if necessary, always at hand.

Ring (metal) and bowl (glass) are different materials. Accordingly, they behave differently when heated - something heats up faster, something slower. When heated, as we know, everything tends to expand. So it may turn out that the glass bowl, let's say, heats up faster, will try to expand, but the temperature will not reach the ring yet and it will not have time to expand. Compression will occur and the bowl may crack.
Well, somehow I tried to explain how I see this situation.
tatulja12
From the instructions for the airfryer:
ENLARGER RING - to increase the useful volume of the airfryer when cooking large poultry, fish, large pieces of meat (for example, pork leg), as well as for sterilizing cans and cooking several dishes at the same time. When using the enlarger ring in the program, the cooking time is increased by 15 minutes... If this suits you and does not cause inconvenience, then for God's sake work with the ring.

We are with the airfryer in the ham battles! And she is dry and grayish !!! So there is nothing to brag about ...
And for some reason it seems to me that it is not the aerogrill that is to blame ... and not the ham, all the more so ...
Hairpin a question for you, but what does the ham do not work in the airfryer? And then I ordered a ham maker in the internet.
Lenusya
Hairpin, I have a dryish and grayish ham in the oven. I don’t worry about being greyish, but dryness: I’m probably overexposing - I’m all afraid the meat will not be baked (and there’s no time to get out to Pyatigorsk for a thermometer)

Don't panic! I just want to get ... like a doctor's sausage ... The ham doesn't have to be done in the airfryer. You can in a pressure cooker, in the oven. Even in a slow cooker and a simple saucepan. So far I did it in foil and some of the juice came out. In addition, I try to hold it longer. And so far I have only done three. The first was ground beef + pieces of beef (it should have been dry); the second is minced chicken + chicken breasts (chicken breasts add dryness to everyone), the third is minced pork + pieces of pork. The latter was much better, but ... Now I bought a sleeve (nothing should come out of it), so it should be juicier. Maybe my juice was just leaking out of the foil ...

So the ham is not an addition to the airfryer, but an absolutely independent unit!

And I will spread my aerogil-ham experiments more thoroughly in Homemade ham.

P.S. In addition, you have Hotter, and I have Brand.

And what's the difference, an aerogrill is an aerogrill. Thank you very much for your reply. And I'll wait for the recipes.
Hairpin
Yes, recipes are above the roof (I have an unverified selection for both ham and airfryer). It's just that the technologies are different. I think that in the airfryer and in the foil, the minced pork will turn out differently than in the foil, but in a pressure cooker. And the members of the forum rarely do it in the air grill (I think I'm alone). And again, because it's easy for me to wash it ...
Mueslik
Easy to clean - microfiber slipper - and everything is perfectly clean
And we will also make ham, as soon as the meat appears
borntolive
About washing ... Try the Luxus Express Oven Cleaner (suitable for both microwaves and grills), especially if it is not very stained, otherwise leave it overnight and apply force to wipe away stubborn grease stains
Hairpin
It's easier for me. I put it in the sink, pour the Ferry to the bottom, then fill the whole bowl with hot water. I rinse it off in half an hour. Only there is a lot of foam, you have to rinse it several times until the foam is gone.
AlKA

I use a self-cleaning (hotter) mode, 80 degrees, 10 minutes, low speed. A little shampoo, I dump all the grids that got dirty there, and I forget until the fan stops and the bowl cools down. Then I rinse everything in the sink.
I don't see any problems at all. I never tore anything off. A little on the grates remains, with a light touch of the hand, everything is removed. And the bowl is generally impeccable. When cooking meat, I put a large deep ceramic plate at the bottom of the bowl, where I pour, for example, beer, and then fat drips into it. At the end I pour it all out. and the plate is washed with the grids in the self-cleaning mode.
natalka
Oh, I've already experienced this self-cleaning mode too. What a delight! Everything rinsing in a washing machine. And even the most baked leaves
It seems that in other airfryers it is possible to wash this way, the main thing is to pour no more than half the volume of water, and you can set 80 degrees even on a mechanical airfryer. But the speed ... will it play a big role?
natalka
Well, if you try at the current speed and everything works out, then why change them?
AlKA

I accidentally turned it on at high speed, the water splashes heavily, I was afraid that it would splash over the edge of the bowl (although you can't pour more than 4 liters, I always pour 3, I just have a ladle in the kitchen 1.5 each, here are 2 ladles) and jogged to low speed.
I don't turn it on high anymore, such a whirlpool.

How it will be in other models - I don't know, try it. The only difference is the strength of the whirlpool.
borntolive
I pour half of the flask (even a little smaller) and at high speed, everything is super, does not splash ... But I washed very dirty places with Luxus
Mueslik
Yes, it will be okay, only you don't need to pour a lot of water - they are almost the same - expensive models and cheaper - the principle is the same ...
My speed is not manually adjusted-nothing-got used to
But, I repeat, I often use microfiber for washing, if I wash it right after cooking
natalka
Oh yes, I did. Sorry for the inattention! I was simply embarrassed by the "high speed" and immediately "low speed" (without the average, no, of course I remember that after the high one there the low speed immediately turns on, but still), something strained me in this statement. I just have a HOTTER HX-1037 CLASSIC airfryer, but your actions seemed incomprehensible to me. Rather, everything was clear, I probably read it, thinking about something else, so I began to doubt.
AlKA

I, or rather my airfryer, have three speeds: low, medium and high. You can switch immediately from low to high and vice versa.
natalka
Yes Hotters with electronic control are almost identical in functions, only I do not understand why yours says that the timer is for 8 hours, if in the rest (including mine) it is 24 hours?
AlKA

I do not know.
I was not interested in the timer when buying, I do not put it for such long periods of time. Therefore, 8 hours suited me. In general, I use timers both on a slow cooker and on a bread maker only at night, so that it’s ready by morning. Well, even if I’m absent for 2-3 hours, and if I leave for the whole day, I’m afraid, well, in general, I don’t feel calmly.
Kosharik
I just can't convince myself of buying a hotter airfryer: the price is too biting (9990). Please tell me: how much $ can you "squeeze out" when buying in "Seven Hills"? And how necessary is it (if there is a grill in the oven)?
Hairpin
Maybe just get a cheaper Hotter? I could be wrong, but the cheapest is 5000-6000 rubles. More precisely, the cheapest is not there now, but of those that exist ...
Kosharik
Oh, I am a maximalist in this matter (but, in 99.9% of cases, those functions for which I overpaid are somehow unclaimed).
Yes, they have a discount of 2500 on some model now, but there is one speed. Do you need 3 speeds?
larimari
Of course they are needed. For example, casseroles are baked first at low speed, then at medium speed. I cook the meat first at medium speed, then at high ...
natalka
Yes, three speeds are needed, but you don't have to take the most expensive one. Here I have a hotter hx-1037 classic, the functions are the same as in Platinum, but the price is lower. But you don't really look at the price. I already bought it, and was tormented by the fact that I spent such money, but then I saw it in the VES store (Spanish) with the same functions as in my airfryer, and it cost about 10 thousand rubles. and at that moment I realized that I had made the absolutely right choice and hadn’t overpaid anything. Hotter is a HOTTER!
borntolive
I have Platinum, I'm not complaining. It also took a long time to decide which one to take. There was money, so I took the most expensive one and which I liked in appearance, although they were cheaper with the same set of functions ... And then I was looking for a multicooker
natalka
Platinum is certainly good (it looks very modern in appearance)! I could have taken it too if I had a choice, but in our town there are no Hotters at all. And in general, the air grill has run out of things once or twice, but I accidentally got this one. I came to the store, and he was standing. Someone was brought to order, but he was not redeemed. That was joy to me!
jadan2
For the New Year, I received a Hotter airfryer of some latest model from the household. The long New Year's weekend was well spent. What they did not do - everything is delicious! I especially like French pork. A pleasant moment - when, after cooking, you pour out everything that is glass from meat from a glass flask - the soul rejoices! That all this goes into the sink, and not into the stomach.
On the 23rd they gave me a ham Beloboka. Immediately I tried to make Hungarian ham - from chicken, turkey, mushrooms ... etc. - like in a book. It turned out delicious, but not very compressed. Then I realized - I put a little mass, the springs during cooking reached the stop in the walls, and they did not press any further. So we must try to lay a full ham. Well - there is a silver lining. The pan-dish has begun! My wife baked pancakes, we put this in a pancake, cheese there, tomatoes, mayonnaise, rolled into a roll - delicious!
And I will definitely make the ham next weekend! And on March 8, too, we need to think - to create such a poet for the holiday!
Kosharik
Thanks everyone for the answers. I already thought about the classic, but the price is almost 8500, and the rest - 10000. The difference is already insignificant. Or are the prices on their website "starting", but bargaining is appropriate?
larimari
Kosharik , unfortunately, the prices are very real, and bargaining is not appropriate ...
Hotter Classic is a wonderful model, I have been using it for the fourth year already, the only difference is that the cover is not on the bracket, but removable. I chose it on purpose, my kitchen shelves hang low ... And for 1500 difference in price, you can buy a lot of all kinds of useful kitchen trifles ...
Kosharik
So they also have a difference in the warranty period (from 1 year to 3)
tatulja12
And I think the bracket is still more convenient. If you need to add something, then you just open the lid and that's it, both hands are free, and the program stops working until you close the lid. And if without a bracket, then this cover with a hot heating element needs to be attached somewhere. It's my opinion.
larimari
I just looked at the site, the warranty for all air grills is 3 years !!! And the service life is 10 years. Well, they don't break themselves ...
larimari

Hotter Classic has a special lid stand on the side of the handle. The lid is placed on it very securely, you do not need to hold it with your hands. Everything is added and interfered with cooking without problems ....
natalka
I totally agree with larimari.
My cabinets do not seem to weigh very low, but on the spot it turned out that if I had an airfryer with a lid on the bracket, it would not have opened completely. And with the magnifying ring installed, it would only open slightly. Maybe you should check all sizes beforehand?
lenami
Hello everybody. I have such an airfryer at home, HOTTER PLATINUM HX-1057. I am very pleased with it. He has made me happy for a year now. There were never any complaints about electronics. It is convenient to wash. It fits into my sink.
Hairpin
Girls, I was thinking, thinking ... Here are the pastries in the airfryer ... But what difference does it make where the oven is, in the oven or in the airfryer?
With chicken, it's still clear (more or less). In terms of being in the airfryer without oil, but in the oven with oil ... Although, the chicken can also be put in the oven on the wire rack, and a baking sheet is on the bottom. Something begins to appear in my mind that the airfryer is an analogue of an electric oven ...
Boo Boo
I have a thermoventilation and turboventilation mode in my oven. We discussed oven modes in the topic. https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=8838.0 We came to the conclusion that this is a type of airfryer. I really haven't tried cooking anything on these modes yet.
natalka
I also have an oven with a blower, but it seems to me that they cook (oven and airfryer) differently. The cooking principle is probably the same, but the result is not very good. Again, saving time and energy, while you preheat the oven, everything is already cooked in the airfryer.
lenami
And I have a gas oven, but with an electric grill. So the chicken there never turned out like in the airfryer.

Well, in fact, this is the way it is, in principle, airfryer-tabletop oven in my opinion too.
I think so too - an electric oven with a grill and convection in a glass saucepan, I think it is best used for baking (smoking) chicken, fish and meat, and baked goods, pots and so on (IMHO) require a larger area, i.e. an oven. Although you can adapt and cook everything, at the beginning of my marriage I cooked everything in micro without convection (there was nothing else, except for a kettle and an iron)
Mueslik
Girls, in comparison with an electric oven, an airfryer has a big pleasant plus-mobility
In the heat, you can put it on the loggia and cook there - you won't want to turn on the electric oven in the apartment
And you can take it with you to the dacha, it's also wonderful
sakura
Good day to all. I have an airfryer Hotter 1057. We bought it in 2004. At that time, it was the latest model. I use it all the time. Cutlets, chicken, fish only there I cook, because you can do it without oil. And for my little daughter I cook all the vegetables in a pot. Very comfortably. I put it in a pot, poured it with boiling water, installed the program and went for a walk. Come, everything is ready. And vegetables are not boiled into porridge. But baking in the airfryer does not work very well. The oven is better. Well, of course, washing it is not very convenient. But still a worthwhile thing.
jadan2
Yeah ... with baked goods in the Airfryer ... The bottom is always not baked. One way out is to turn the baked item a few minutes before the end of the process. Or make a charlotte - when the filling is in the mold, and the dough is on top. But the hot sandwiches are great!
goose
And I really like the oven in the airfryer, it turns out very well.
jadan2
Here's how ... and in what bake? I tried it in the baking sheet and in the foil - but the bottom of the pastry is always under-baked!
tatulja12
I also do not like the oven in the airfryer. I bake in the oven. And in the airfryer casseroles, cutlets, meat, fish are excellent, meat and potatoes are excellent in pots. Hot sandwiches come out very well too. And with baking in the airfryer, not everything is all right.
jadan2
I'm also trying to create in Aerogrill in Belobok ... I posted my innovations on the local forum in Vetchinnitsa
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...on=com_smf&topic=4095.405
goose
I make a mannik or a cupcake in an airfryer, charlotte is good. I bake in the usual forms as in the oven, there were no problems, unless I do it myself.
Today I smoked the brisket, it turned out very tasty and, most importantly, quickly.
