Ingredients

Rice paper 1 package
Minced pork 250 g
vermicelli funchose 50 g
raw egg 1 PC
medium carrots 1 PC

Sweet and sour sauce

ginger root 5 cm
vegetable oil 3 tbsp. spoons
soy sauce 2 tbsp. spoons
vinegar 9% 1 tbsp. the spoon
ketchup 2 tbsp. spoons
sugar 2 tbsp. spoons
fruit juice 150 ml
starch 1 tbsp. the spoon
water 2 tbsp. spoons

Cooking method

  • Soak the noodles in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain and chop finely. Chop the onion and carrots very finely (Berner grater), lightly beat the egg and mix it all with the minced meat. Let it brew for 5-10 minutes. In a bowl of water, alternately lower the rice pancakes, soak for 15 seconds. The instructions say: put on a napkin to remove excess water. Three pancakes just stuck to me, and I threw them out. I spread it on the board and dabbed the water a little with a napkin. Then stuff the pancakes and fry in hot vegetable oil until a good golden color.
  • I put sauce on the pancakes. I would say marmalade, because 1 tablespoon of starch, even without the top, cannot give the sauce thickness. She gives the marmalade.
  • So the sauce. Fry finely chopped onions, garlic, ginger in vegetable oil, add soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, orange ketchup or apple juice, preferably sour. Stir and boil a little. Dilute the starch with water and gently add to the sauce, stir and turn off as soon as it boils.

Well, if you make real Vietnamese nems, then there should be more eggs, vegetables should be cut into strips, only recently they began to use graters, so everything was cut. The sauce is also made from fish sauce, vinegar, sugar and water, you can also add carrots cut into circles. Any rice pancakes, thick or thin, are sprinkled with water or beer, and immediately wrapped, or everything will creep out and it will not be possible to tightly wrap the pancake. I've been living in Vietnam for 14 years, but I didn't think that this dish would change so much here.
