I have a question: I read that caps and jars of chibo coffee are suitable for Mulinex yogurt makers: can you put these jars straight in a yogurt maker and cook yogurt in them?
You can put anything there. The temperature is important here, not the container in which the yogurt is made.
Mams
Oksasha, I have one jar of German cucumbers. It is not round, but slightly elongated, oval. It cooks normally

As for the jars, they used to have small jars one-to-one, as in Moulinex, and therefore it was proposed to replace them, but now they are producing jars of a different form. Personally, I have been adapting other jars there for a long time (from under baby food, and also different in shape - more for yogurt, less for kefir, for cottage cheese in general, a glass container is flat and wide)

Mams
kipitka , we will have to. Everyone here gets hooked on interesting equipment

About yogurt. Girls do it in a slow cooker and in a thermos, and even in a microwave. But in a yogurt maker, in my opinion, it is more convenient. It is not always convenient to take a slow cooker for 6-8 hours. And then - flooded, it costs itself, works. Only a little space is needed ... more ... in the kitchen

Hello! Please help me with advice, which stores in St. Petersburg have yogurt makers? For half a year I have been dreaming about this device, but since I live in the Novgorod region, I only visit St. Petersburg, but no matter what stores I have, they are nowhere to be found. Please tell me !!!!

Guys, I've been reading information about yogurt makers for several days now and I can't make a choice. That is why the timer in Tefal - after all, after turning off (for example, after 6 hours) you need to IMMEDIATELY put yoghurts in the refrigerator, that is, my presence is NECESSARY at home? with such success I can set a timer on my mobile phone (if it is only for a reminder). I understand that you cannot, for example, put yogurt in the morning, in the afternoon the yogurt maker will turn off by itself (in the case of Tefal) and in the evening I will come - and here the yogurt is ready) explain, otherwise the porridge is already in my head. Thank you.
Mams
kipitka , you are absolutely right. Yogurt should be refrigerated to prevent peroxide. This can be done not by running, but rather soon after cooking. Therefore, it is not necessary to overpay for the timer.
Moulinex has a kind of "timer". There, on the lid, there are numbers from 1 to 12, at the bottom of the case there is also a risk. When we close the lid, we combine the lower risk with the time that the yoghurt is approximately ready (approx. 6 hours). Then we just turn it off ourselves or not, if necessary, you can still leave it.
Zubastik
kipitka, I advise you to take Mulinex! It is convenient in that you can not fool around with jars, but put a whole vessel there. I bought a glass one with a 1.5 liter lid, suitable for size, I make yogurt in it. Then you put it in the refrigerator, and everyone puts the required amount for himself with a clean spoon.
And until you pour everything into the jars, then you will wash (well, if there is a dishwasher - not a problem, of course), and it is inconvenient to wash them with your hands, especially the Tefalevsky ones - narrow and long.
Regarding the timer, it's a completely useless thing, there is no point in paying for it.
In order not to sit and waste away over yogurt, I have adapted to do this. In the morning or at lunchtime, mix milk with yogurt, pour, put in a yoghurt maker, put to heat. Before leaving the house, turn off the yogurt maker, while she has already managed to warm up to the desired temperature and stand. At lunchtime or in the evening you come home - yoghurt comes by itself, without any heating. I did this operation in winter and spring, I didn’t try it in summer, for some reason I don’t feel like yogurt in summer. If suddenly the yogurt does not have time to thicken, heat it up a little more.
In this state, I left the yogurt, set at 10 am, and put it in the refrigerator at 8 pm.
So try it, and the timer is not needed unambiguously.

kipitka, Tefal is not such a timer as you think, there is no need to set the time. After switching on, when the yogurt maker heats up to a certain temperature (about an hour), the button turns off, heating stops and the yogurt maker cools down for several hours. At the right time for you, take out the jars and put them in the refrigerator.
In Moulinex, it heats up a little constantly, maintaining a certain temperature until you turn it off yourself.
In the refrigerator, the yoghurt preparation process ends - the curd becomes denser and the growth of bacteria stops.
So if you are not at home for a long time, then in Moulinex and Tefal the yogurt can simply stand, stratify.
Although it all depends on milk, I once put the child to bed and fell asleep, I came to my senses at 5 am, yogurt stood for 10 hours, usually 4 is enough - it did not even stratify. I changed the milk - after 4 hours a little whey separated.
I like my Tefal. My friend Moulinex is also very happy with her.
You decide

sorry - it is very similar to the technology "wrap a jar in a blanket" - it cools down ... I thought that the principle of operation of all yogurt makers is CONSTANT heating ...

Tell me plz any of the yogurt makers (moulinex / tefal) allows you to put one large glass container, bought separately, instead of 7-8 regular cups?
In which one is it more convenient to do it and which glass containers, for example, are best suited for this?

And yet - what is the best way to cook narine in a yogurt maker? Narine is usually bought dry in glass bottles of this type

Very dubious idea IMHO. If you need to cook in exactly one container - look at the very beginning of the discussion it was said about a yogurt maker with one bucket instead of small jars - the answer # 1 in this topic is a yogurt maker from Scarlett.

Oh, well, they made fun of it)) In this topic, 50 pages are devoted to this issue. Read what has already been written.

you can put one large container in the mulieška (if you choose a size), but it won't work in the tefal - it has a heating element in the middle

I really want to buy a Mulinex yogurt maker. But for some reason we do not have them in Ukraine. Tell me, maybe someone knows where her, darling, can be bought. In Donetsk or Ukraine. Or was it even removed from the sale? !!!

Not there, she called already. Neither MEGA Max, nor Comfi, nor Foxtrot ... ..... Where do you live?
Inna Zhuk
Angela Davis, indeed, now it is unrealistic to find Moulinex in Kiev - her friend has been trying for the second month already, calls all possible stores and only on e-buy said that they would be in mid-August. But if you don't care about Moulinex, then Tefal saw today in Eldorado on Petrovka.
vorona
No, Moulinex is on sale in Russia, maybe Ukrainian suppliers of Moulinex are not happy with it. And what is so important? The operation of all yogurt makers is the same - maintaining the temperature.

There is an online store Eldorado. I bought mine in the Dexline online store a month ago. They are usually taken apart in 2-3 days.

Thanks to all who responded! In general, the site is so necessary and interesting !!!

I want to buy Moulinex for several reasons: firstly, I carefully read this whole topic (the overwhelming majority praise Moulinex, there are also many dissatisfied with Tefal), and secondly, on the site of the leaven. com is a comparison of 2 yogurt makers - Mulinex and Tefal, again not in favor of Tefal

🔗

; thirdly, you can pick up a glass-ceramic saucepan in a mule, which cannot be done in Tefali, and fourthly, it is one and a half times cheaper (and I also want to buy a multicooker, which I did not know about before your website !!!)

Owners of Tefali, a huge request not to be offended, because this is my purely subjective opinion
musyanya
And I, as the owner of the tefal, do not take offense, I myself would have bought mulinex - it is cheaper, but we did not have them on sale. And there is an insignificant advantage: in my old cramped refrigerator it is easier to shove 8 jars in the corners, on the sides, than another larger container.
Kosha
Dear forum users!

Your advice is very necessary!
Today, absolutely all the lids from jars of Mulinex yogurt have died a heroic death. I put them in a sterilizer and they melted. What can replace lids or cans?
Something burned and was confused ...

Lissa
You can pick up any glass jars that go into the yogurt maker. I generally make kefir in half a liter. The can can be twisted or regular nylon. You can buy from the service. I bought several cans. You can find out about the lids.
Kosha
LTD!
Thank you!
How good it is that there is someone with a cold head and a kind heart in difficult times!
And then I just somehow fell out of clear consciousness at the sight of plastic pancakes instead of lids.
If it's not difficult, tell me how much the jars cost and in what service? If you are from Moscow, of course.
Lissa
Unfortunately I am from Kiev. Our jar costs about $ 3. Look at the addresses in the passport or at the official. site.
Kosha
Thank you very much!
I just cheered up!
Thousands of thanks!

If suddenly someone is also unlucky, then I share the gained experience:
on the jars of the yogurt maker Moulinex, like a family, they put on caps from a certain product "Carousel. Milk-coffee paste". I bought seven cans in "Bakhetle" today. The product in plastic jars is on the shelf with condensed milk.
I don’t know how I looked from the outside when I concentratedly twisted the lids off all the coffee cans and tried on my sample jar, but I think it's funny. None of the coffee is suitable! Purely by chance I went to the shelf with condensed milk and tried it on. Po-dosh-lo!
Now I have the caps !!!
And I also have seven cans of something incomprehensible called "Carousel", which I do not know where to put.
Lissa
In 3 hours the problem was solved.
Kosha
It was a difficult three hours!
First, throwing around the house shouting: - "Catastrophe! We have a disaster!"
Then going to the forum and finding peace of mind. And then he ran to the store and bought seven cans at 43.80 rubles. a piece.
Now I am even more happy than when I bought the yogurt maker!

Pakat
It remains only to dispose of the milk-coffee paste, not to throw it away ... And the jars can still come in handy ...
Kosha
Oddly enough, but my husband categorically demands to throw the byaka away.
And I'm sorry ... Although incomprehensible, but the food!
There is an idea to take it to work and give it to programmers and IT specialists. These will eat anything.
Self-taught baker
And I did NOT know about such jars and bought (!!) 7 cans of expensive French country yogurt - at that time I did NOT find anything more suitable ...
Lenusya
A friend of mine adapted baby food jars with screw caps.
Now she has two sets with and without lids.

And on the very first day, one lid disappeared somewhere. Now I just close this jar with food wrap - it holds perfectly, it is convenient.

But there were no problems where to dispose of the product. He was quite understandable
Mams
And I broke one can, in the store I found wonderful jars of pickled cucumbers, German. And the price is not terrible, about 30 rubles. for a can, and they ate the cucumbers, I already bought the second one, they also used
fugaska
and I adapted as many as EIGHT jars of VINNIE's baby puree - this is my second set of jars, for adults, by the way, they hold 1.5 liters of liquid! and even a little more and my honey jars fit perfectly to replace the usual ones, but I don't remember the manufacturer, I accidentally bought honey
Pani Olga
And from Vinnie, I make myself low-fat yogurt in them, so as not to be confused with the usual 3.2 fat! It was some kind of fruit puree, rub. 13 per can.
Total: 6 cans of Winnie, 1 can of gherkins (so slightly oval in section) and 1 can of peas (350 g), slightly lower and wider. They stand tightly into the Mulinex yogurt maker, the output is 1.7 liters of yogurt.
Pani Olga
Although, in a pea jar, probably 250-300 g, I can't see if it is yoghurt. By the way, it is convenient to make sourdough in it from Narine (2 capsules of dry powder for 250 g of warm milk), then the sourdough is enough for 2 times, and you can't confuse the sourdough in which jar.
Self-taught baker
Pani Olga
Thanks for the idea. And then I always get confused where is what yogurt ...
Angela Davis
People!!! Rejoice with me !!! Finally I bought a yogurt maker Moulinex !!! While I phoned the whole Ukraine in search, she calmly gathered dust in Dnepropetrovsk, in "Komfi" ..... There is simply no limit to happiness !!!!
Uncle Sam

I'm glad to be with you!
(how little a person needs for happiness)
Viki
Angela Davis, I am also happy with you
I bought my yoghurt maker in December and jumped with delight. I still can't get enough of it. I have Moulinex.
Successful yoghurts!

Moulinex yoghurt makers are on sale in Auchan. Costs 190 UAH

... So, I want to try it for the first time today, but the instructions do not clearly say how to set the timer (choose the time?) It says that you need to press the button under the inscription, and what's next, how long will it warm up? ... I don't want to panic in the evening - so I ask ....

Nothing complicated, the button is pressed and it is free, it will turn itself off when needed, depending on the temperature of the milk and air. So don't worry (in 1-2 hours)

Tefal or Mulinex
Hello everyone. As the owner of two popular yogurt makers (tefal and mulinex), I would like to help in choosing.
Moulinex is much more convenient:
Moulinex jars with screw caps and a specially designated place for them. I already lost one of Tefal's caps. The capacity of seven Mulinex jars is more than eight Tefal ones. When you prepare the mixture, take a liter of milk and a jar of yogurt, but in tefal, you get 1.125 g. do not fit, which is not convenient.
The timer is a completely unnecessary thing. There is no point in overpaying for it, since yoghurt is cooked from 8 to 15 hours, and the timer turns off after 1.5-2 hours.
Cooking yoghurt in tefal:
The temperature in the yogurt maker rises to about 60 degrees in an hour, and then, like in a thermos, it remains for 5 hours (I doubt that at 60 yogurt bacteria do not die), as a result, the whey is often separated from milk and we get curd (from the bottom of the jar of curd , yogurt on top). And not once did I get yogurt with fruit, always curled up. (I have never used boiled milk, this is a long time for me)
Cooking in mulinex continues as long as the food is on, there is always about 45 degrees, you get delicious yoghurt and does not curl up when you add fruit.
Conclusion: if you like yogurt, buy Moulinex
if you like cottage cheese tefal will do.

P.S. for moderators, he can put my message much more clearly, so as not to get lost in the depths of the forum, suddenly someone will come in handy.
musyanya
In tefal, the temperature is really high and the whey separates, if you don't put napkins on the bottom, everything works out fine with them. I bought tefal, because there was nothing else, and I told my friend that my mother would have brought Mulinex from Khabarovsk.
Kosha
kipitka!

I heard that Tefal yogurt makers sometimes overheat yogurt and it is curdled. To reduce the temperature, napkins (linen, cotton) are placed on the bottom. Could overheating cause such a rapid separation of the whey?

Neo-imunele is the same sourdough as Actimel (only its composition is worse than that of Actimel).
The cooking time depends on the freshness of the mother's starter culture, on its amount, on the temperature of the milk to which the starter culture is added, on the ambient temperature.

I have Moulinex. It takes about five hours to make yoghurt, but in the summer, in the heat, yoghurt ripens in three hours. If I take milk from the refrigerator and do not heat it, then you can wait up to seven to eight hours.

The main criterion is the setting of the yoghurt. As soon as the top thickens, immediately close and refrigerate.
