I also did, turned on baking without a mold for 10 minutes. She didn't smoke much, but she smelled of some kind of plastic.
Then I cooled it down and that's it.Then, when baking, 1-2 times, it probably smelled a little and that's it, then it began to work perfectly without odors!
Do not be afraid of it, in order to turn off a certain program the "Start" button must be held down, it beeps and turns off the program.

My husband said, normal, and then that I was too carried away with baking bread. that is, he probably didn't like this bread either.
