My girls from Germany are round, at first I lay quietly on the sidelines, somehow I immediately grabbed the triangular one, and then I tried the round gorgeous, too, cuts!
Luceria
Because she is from Germany
Yani
that is, if from Germany, then both are good, right?
And triangular is more convenient for many? Or is it a matter of habit?
Slastena
Yes, most likely a habit, although before these vegetable cutters I used a cheap round (and was triangular) every time I spat and thought that everything was the last time, but I didn't throw it into the bucket, as soon as I bought the Bernerovskys, both flew away in the bucket !!! Berner's triangular with teeth, like a little "crocodile"

Insert Trend 1.6 is not very popular. This is my favorite, I decided to write, maybe it will come in handy for someone.

The fact is that I have a problem with vegetables in my family: I just do not like large pieces of vegetables in everything except onions for barbecue and tomatoes for salads, my husband does not digest onions at all in any form and in any dish, the rest of the vegetables simply does not welcome , and the child does not want to eat any vegetables at all in any form.
Therefore, my task is to make sure that vegetables in soup / borscht, casseroles, etc. are not striking, they could not be picked out or left on a plate.
On insert 1.6, carrots turn out to be thin hairs, sauteed in a second, rushes into the soup 1 minute before the end of cooking, cooks instantly, it is impossible to catch, the color and taste of the soup are wonderful. The onion turns into gruel, in soup-borscht and other dishes my husband does not recognize at all (I hide the husk in the trash bin).
I myself like the fact that everything is prepared sooo quickly, especially if I use blanks from the freezer.
I take a couple of carrots, rub them on Berner, pack them in a bag and in the freezer. Likewise, onion and beet. Borscht, provided that the meat is ready (this is already an ode to the multicooker that cooked it at night), it is prepared just instantly, just so that the potatoes are boiled, this is the longest process.
Baby is the second most used grater, this is already larger than 1.6 - when I cook for myself. The rest of the inserts are when I cook for guests, and I often have them.

Roko began to bother even more often - it's just cool and original when vegetables are cut with such beautiful worms ... after all, we are used to this type of cutting only for Korean carrots ..

As for the peelers, I also excelled. I made friends with a round one, and a new triangular one with teeth is less convenient for me than the same triangular one from Berner, but 7 years ago, with clean blades. So I use it.
Stafa
The triangular one from Germany peels eggplant gorgeous. I didn't find any more use for it.
Yani
Then I'll ask you - which one is more convenient to peel potatoes and apples? As I do it most often.

And who's to say that vegetable peelers are really more convenient than a knife?
Stafa
A vegetable peeler is really better than a knife, anyway. It's just that we are already spoiled, I now have 3 of those peelers - Ikeevskaya for every day, Berner German for eggplants (do not throw out) and Berner's trend for peeling oranges.
marinastom
Yana and Galya, my opinion: it is really more convenient to use a vegetable peeler. I also "hooked up" everyone at home. Only everyone has different addictions. and I have a whole range of these pribluds hanging on the railing. From all over the world. Even the old Soviet one is alive!

And here is my additional answer. I have a tandem like this:
Grater Burner (2)
Victorinox for long vegetables. Just awesome. For potato, in principle, it is also possible, but for me the Tramontin's knife, which is higher in the photo, just copes with it with a bang. I bought these two things for myself and all my relatives, I have two more spare ones in the store.

Natasha, as I understand you! I even sometimes on the insert 1.6 carrots or cabbage to and from here I rub without removing the vegetable from the grater, in the soup, in the borscht they are almost invisible. Well, they love me so much. For me, this is also the most demanded insert.

And yesterday I made a very tasty salad, on Prima I thinly crumbled Peking cabbage, onions, then cut a raw carrot on Roko, and poured a jar of canned peas into this mixture, added a little salt and seasoned with mayonnaise

Thanks for the recipe! Fast, simple and tasty. I added ham and mayonnaise and replaced it with sour cream + garlic + dried paprika + black pepper.

And I'm in defense of peelers! Recently, Jamie Oliver was shown on the kitchen-TV, I love his programs, BUT how he peeled potatoes with a knife: wall, cleaning was centimeter !!! I wanted to tell him straight - take a vegetable peeler! For such a peel they would have been fired from a culinary college, or maybe they just have no piety for potatoes, as in our country? And I also wanted to ask: I rubbed the carrot salad with garlic and mayonnaise by 3.5, my husband rejected it, said very thick carrots, three as before. And I don't want to rub it with an old grater. So which nozzle to buy, so to speak, similar to the usual one?

Or an insert for 1.6 for a Trend or Baby-grater, but the result will still differ from that obtained on an iron grater, but still smaller, of course, than 3.5

nila
Vera, what are you filling with quince and carrots? Current with sugar or something else? Not tough?
vera_111
Small, just a little sugar, my carrots are sweet. Shabby quince is not much different in hardness from an apple, only in taste it is sour, and with carrots the astringency of quince is not felt, you cannot eat it alone - it does not fit. Mine also eat finely chopped quince in the example - such round pieces are translucent - beautiful, you can't cut it like that without a berner ... I don't know why, but in finely chopped or grated quince there is almost no astringency that does not allow eating it when it is whole, maybe oxidized from air. I also noticed that fruits and vegetables chopped on prima retain their color longer - they do not darken than chopped with a knife.
Mila_zp
Oh, and I love carrots with quince. Only rubbing on a baby.

Lyudochka, today I rubbed it on the baby too - it's cool, but it's crunchier on the rock. I cut my thumb with a plastic tooth of a baby, for the 4th time already, before that with a waffle and roco - almost the same place, only the beginning of healing ...
Girls, take care of your fingers
And quince 2 more boxes - what to do with it - I won't be able to see it soon

The other day, too, a waffle finger teranula, in a big way. This is tryndets
And from the quince I boiled jam-puree

Horror, I get goosebumps as I imagine. I always use a holder for inserts. Today I rubbed carrots on Rocco, I wanted to rub it like that at first, but still got the fruit holder.

Yes, and now I try with a fruit holder, although it is more convenient without him.

Vera, I sympathize! Itself always on Bebik I cling fingers! You always grab it when something is urgently needed, finely chop it and, without a holder, trust its plastic teeth, but it was not there
Tomorrow I will bake the quince in pieces with the pumpkin. I was advised so, they said that you can still add some dried fruits.

Oh-oh-oh, let it heal quickly. I also always use the fruit holder, both with Prima, and with additional. graters. But recently, a potato escaped from my hands and I touched a finger on my left hand with a vegetable peeler ((((No, I didn't peel it, only the cloves got deep into the skin, but there was blood!

Oh, why be afraid of him, just handle it carefully and not be greedy - I always get it, when I try to rub the centimeter residue with pens, I will no longer
And I won't cut it with a knife, berner - that's beauty
Now I make a "lazy" vinaigrette for myself and at home - I rub everything on Carlos - it's cool and not to bother with cubes, although there is a cube cutter - but while you wash it later, and even when there are no pickles - rub potatoes, beets, carrots and with mayonnaise - tasty too
I regret that I did not take the pizza - a grater, only it is not there for completeness
Mila_zp
I, too, will not be a knife. And I'm not afraid of him, basic safety precautions.

I totally agree! My Prima came to me for two months. back. And how did I do without her before ...?
Grypana
Today my husband was allowed to use three graters to help me. It was allowed to use Bebik - grate the zest, and two Prima inserts, chop tomatoes, onions and bell peppers into rings, and finely chop carrots and onions into the soup. Prepared to do this for half a day. Accelerated ... To put it mildly, what a delight he had. Said, "It's a pity that the pleasure was momentary, it was over quickly."

Mine also rubs me potatoes for frying, and cabbage for salt, and more. Rubbing is excellent, but surprisingly, he cannot prepare the grater for work, get the insert out of the box and insert it. Like: Which one to take and how to insert it? This is despite the fact that for a potato the insert 10 * 10 is white, all the others are orange. Again yesterday to cut potatoes (and he does it every week of practical training): set me up. Just like a small child, she doesn't even try to remember. And we have not Prima, where it is more difficult, but Trend.
Grypana
And I had to prepare all the products, collect the graters, take them out, put them on the holder, even show how to move my hand. But I don’t think he will do it himself the second time and the fifth. Damn, I’ve infected, I’ll go now to cut the quince into a salad, they described everything so beautifully, I went to try I never thought that it was possible to combine quince with carrots.

Inna, everything is sharp, apparently Berner's are cool (except for the Classics). So, I see no reason to dissuade. Maybe if you can then add something in the Prima style.

Prima? The girls are praising. I have Trend, good too. Not a Classic, everyone says.
Innochka, get used to the fruit-holder right away, even though it is not easy, do not repeat our mistakes, otherwise you will be left without fingers!

Innus, I'm not an advisor here. I also have a Trend. And I bought something here, and ordered something "from Kermania" through our joint venture.
