Potato cookies

Ingredients

Mashed potatoes 300 g
Butter 100 g
Flour 150-200 g
Sesame seeds 5 g
Egg 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • If you don't know where to put the leftovers of yesterday's puree,
  • you can make cookies!
  • Melt the butter, add the finished mashed potatoes, flour and sesame seeds. Mix everything thoroughly and knead the dough.
  • Sprinkle the table with flour, roll out the dough, fold it in four and roll it out again and so on several times.
  • Then brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cut out the cookies. You can simply cut into squares / rhombuses.
  • Put cookies on a greased baking sheet and bake in the oven at 200.20-30 minutes

Not not flaky, in general, the cookies are unleavened, but in the "bite" they are dense, why nothing comes for comparison: girl_in_dreams: it's time to sleep ...

Great recipe! Cookies are obtained as in the photo.
I experimented for two days, conclusions:
It is better to salt the puree well and add more seasonings (for 600 g of puree half a packet of seasoning "For potatoes"). The cookies are not bland.
I added whites from eggs to the dough, smeared with yolks.
It takes a lot of flour when rolling, otherwise it sticks.

You can diversify the dish. On the rolled dough, put finely chopped Hungarian bacon (sold everywhere in vacuum packaging) and go through it once with a rolling pin without pressing. It makes great bacon cookies. If the dough is rolled again, then the bacon will be inside.
Bacon can be substituted for sausage or mushrooms.
