Hello girls! Can someone say something about the SHIVAKI SMC-8650 MV? Should you buy? Now it is the most affordable after Delphi (659 UAH). Need for a gift.

Do not be afraid. They are solid. They do everything necessary and, unlike their budget colleagues, have very decent bowls.

A beautiful toy, nothing to say. I try to remember everything in which everyday dishes you need continuous, long stirring. I don’t cook resotto, and I don’t understand why continuous stirring for making yoghurt, as they advertise.

Wow, the manufacturers have a fantasy!
And the price is also wow.

But is it practical? Is it really necessary?
I also can't remember where continuous stirring is needed. Only when I make cheese, then in the last stage I continuously stir for 6-7 minutes. And I don't know where else.

But very beautiful. Outwardly like it.

I also glanced at it, but on closer examination it looks like an ordinary saucepan with a lid that does not close tightly, as is customary with cartoons.
If you are interested in the mixing function, I saw an inexpensive option in the store. I don't remember exactly, but it seems phillips.

I posted this new Kitchen for a long time. The price is really incredible. This cartoon does not functionally stand out in any way.

Today I read a funny article in Kommersant about how multicooker is taking over Russia. How fashionable and popular it is. And how brands fight for a client (I didn't know that Redmond was suing Polaris and lost). Well, etc.

🔗 - so the article is called
Nata1500
Help me choose: Philips 3167, Panasonic MHS181 or Redmond RMC 4502. You need good milk porridge, quality yoghurts, stews and beef.
Manna
Nata1500, Panasonic has sensory milk, so it may not turn out quite what I would like. I do not know about 3167, but in 3197 the mode for milk porridge is very well adjusted - not running. Redmonds get overheated. MHS does not have a mode for yoghurt, there is an approximate 40 ° C on the Manual, how much is there in fact - I don't know. Any multicooker can put out. The Phillips and this Panasonic have much better bowls than Redmond ones.
masjavka
Good day. Girls, help me pliz, I choose a multicooker. Volume 3-4 liters, with baking function and with manual mode with the smallest step of temperature selection. The main purpose of the purchase is the ability to bake and cook, since I don't go yet and I can't cook on a regular stove.I can cook something, because there is a thermomix.

Multicooker attack - this is the article
Wow, thanks for the article, I just do not understand some kind of duplicity, then that many people steal functions and design from Redmond, so it's okay, but as the word was used as a patent, they already raised a fuss, to be honest, all these legal games are ridiculous.

At the same factory in China, they make a purchase, you mean?

exactly!

12 years ago, when there were no multicooker in Russia, I studied at the Beijing University. Almost all Chinese had rice cookers. Because many live in little rooms and without a stove. And even if there was a stove, rice was cooked only in a rice cooker. Even in small eatery restaurants, they cooked in them - at least rice, and at most steamed fish.

There has always been a huge selection of rice cookers in stores - any size, round, oblong, all colors of the rainbow, flowers, polka dots, with painted pandas or beautiful calligraphy. There were also small ceramic pots-rice cookers (not as bowls we now call, but real, beating ceramics).

Chinese rice cookers of 12 years ago differ in functionality from modern models on the Russian market only in the presence of two functions - sour milk and milk porridge. It's just that the Chinese don't drink milk at all, they didn't have to (though I can't forget their aloe yogurt with soy milk, it's delicious). They had and still have all other functions - delayed start, timer, heating, heating, stewing, soup, baking, steam (with a steaming basket), frying, cereals, etc.

It’s ridiculous to say that everyone steals design and function from Redmond.
Moreover, as a manufacturer of multicooker in the Russian market, he did not appear in the forefront, but like several other companies, having caught the demand, he began to stamp options.

Quote: StupidBlond
but as the word was used as a patent, they already raised a fuss

This article is not about bad redmond and other good other firms.
It's about the boom of the multicooker as a gadget.

As an example, a number of companies are indicated, from cheap to expensive Bork.
The central characters were Polaris and Redmond - as the most popular and with a larger market share than the rest. And Redmond is also the company with the most aggressive marketing and competition policies. Which is also true.

Competition is good. It's even better when she's honest. This forces companies to develop technology, and not to clamp down on already developed technologies, adding them drop by drop every 3-5 years, forcing them to buy a newer model, although the old one is ok, and the differences are minimal and not fundamental (I have the last film canon of 2000 , there is a function of focusing with a glance - where he looked there and focused, the last attempt to interest the consumer with film cameras. More than 15 years have passed, and in digital cameras this feature has not yet been, although the technology has long been there).

But attempts to patent the generally accepted - a word, a circle shape, or that trousers have two legs - this is a dead-end policy. As well as hiring people to give false positives about yourself and false negatives about a competitor. In the age of availability of information, many forums, word of mouth, etc., this will work at most on one sale, then the consumer, faced with the discrepancy between the lacy but false review and reality, will forever turn away by choosing another company. And then he will preemptively turn away, not wanting to support an aggressive manufacturer.

They still exist both as "multicooker" (but only in China, they are not supplied to Russia), and as slow cooker.

They also have "milk porridge" and "sour milk", but they also call different tasks - the sourdough of rice (brew) and a special type of rice (thin, usually with meat). So we only change the names of the modes, but the modes are still the same.

Rice porridge was, yeah. But liquid rice, with its runnability, is really similar to milk porridge.

It's funny, but somehow I did not correlate this program with milk porridge, deciding that since milk is not in their honor, then everything with milk is additional. function for Russia. Thanks for clarifying

But in principle, it is. Any function is to achieve such and such a temperature and maintain it for some time, as an extra. option - every 20 minutes to raise for 3-5-7 minutes. by so many degrees, and then again to lower it by so much. That's all the difference between stewing and yogurt functions. And functions similar in temperature-time are simply called differently.

I have a Panasonic (induction) rice cooker, my native Japanese, though not China. There is a congee mode. Another mode of all sorts of rice (white, brown, mix, small amount ...), baking and something else, I don't remember. and so the "rice broth" mode does not cook milk porridge, as you expect. It starts with a boil, and only then turns to languor, and the milk runs away all the time. I tried it many times))). Not a single mode in my expensive rice cooker is designed for milk porridge.

This is why porridge runs away in many multicooker so that it boils immediately, and not half an hour after the start of the regime.

No, I have not met housewives.

My model is similar in activity, but not the same. I use it. I have a bowl without glaze. I don't know what kind of pot is in this. Care is the same as for clay pots. I can't say about the smells - I only cook porridge in it. But the girls intensively use the slow ones, they don't complain about the smell.

Hello everyone!
I have been reading and digesting the information of this section for the fifth day, but it seems that the end and edge is not visible. Perhaps you can help me choose the direction of reading
I lived quietly for 7 years with my Panasonic 18. But, he is already old, he sometimes plugs in - steaming and pilaf - goes into heating, apparently something in it overheats. and I want something new already. The family is large - 4 children, one of whom is about to start eating complementary foods. Accordingly, there are a lot of requirements for the cartoon - porridge is not worse than in Panas, stewing at a low temperature, yoghurts without dancing with a tambourine, as I am in Panasonic, baking is not so important - the cartoon portion is too small for us, frying - the level that is in Panasonic is quite enough , I do not cook especially fried, I do not strive for very ruddy crusts. Multi-cook function - it would be great, a dream. The function of the pressure cooker is the same. In general, after a day of reading, I came to the conclusion that I needed 2 pressure cookers and a regular cartoon. Eye caught on Brand. I was very interested in the 6060 smokehouse-pressure cooker and, in addition to it, the 502 cartoon, which is excellent in functionality. The only thing - I would very much like a high-quality eco-friendly bowl. I looked at the Stadler - well, a very beautiful, solid bowl, but, as I understand it, there are no low temperatures and milk porridge is not put on hold - for me porridge in the morning is sacred. Yesterday I went to read about Steba DD2 - it's a dream come true - full-fledged 2 in 1 and cartoon and pressure cooker, and a steel bowl. There was a slight sadness for the Brand smokehouse BUT! smoked is harmful and for us it is more a pampering than a necessity, and I understand this in spite of I WANT
Considering that every day I delve into all the new options, maybe you can suggest something else that I am missing, but what should I pay attention to? I will be very grateful
Manna
Irina, I also thought about DD2 when I read your message. Only if you plan to fry, it is better to buy a non-stick bowl. The smokehouse is really pampering. I would not recommend it to you in these conditions. 502 - multicooker with excellent functionality, but if we talk about the reliability of the device, then it is inferior in this matter to DD2. Stadler is a good, solid multicooker with a great bowl. And low temperatures for what purpose? If you plan to ferment sour milk, then maybe it is better to buy a separate device for this - you will not need to regularly sterilize the multicooker, and the fermentation time is also required, the multicooker will take more than one hour.
Fari
Manna, Thank you! yes, low temperatures for yoghurts and curds. well, I love languor at 90 degrees, and not more than 100. True, I also have a Kenwood slow cooker with a real thick-walled ceramic pot, but it is huge at 7 liters, hidden in a locker and taken out as needed, and a cartoon on a personal shelf is always under hand and work. Perhaps it really is worth buying a yogurt maker and removing this function from the multicooker.
Fari
and another question - for DD2, a bowl with a non-stick coating is needed even for minimal frying - let's say vegetables in soup or before stewing? or is it an addition exclusively for serious frying - cutlets, meat, chicken? That is, there will be no such thing that I will have to change the bowl in the process of cooking one dish - I fried it in one, threw it into the second?
Manna
Irina, there are slow cookers on sale for both 3 (Russell Hobs) and 4 (Kenwood) liters, if this is so relevant. The yoghurt maker Brand 4001 showed itself well in terms of thermoregulation, or you can buy a cheap one without electronics and a thermostat, then you can set the temperature for different sour milk. Fry in oil in a steel bowl, otherwise it will stick.
Fari
Well, now I also have to read yogurt makers, I look there is also Brand 4002 - there are already 12 cups, which I really like. I still digest a little about the multicooker. Thanks for the advice !!!
Fari
Manna, and maybe you can say something about the Philips multicooker HD3165 / 03 and HD3158 / 03, I don’t find Temko about them. and we have them now on shares
Miranda
I'll wedge myself a little into the conversation.
Brand 4001, albeit for 7 glasses (versus 12), but there is a bowl in which you can take 3 liters of yogurt at once or for cottage cheese it is many times more convenient than glasses. Or put several large glass jars in it.

There will be an excellent combination for your tasks - DD2 and a good yogurt maker.
Fari
Miranda, thank you! in yogurt makers I'm not at all in the tooth with my foot yet.
Manna
Irina, so I wrote about the new Phillips models:
Quote: Manna

About the regime for complete evaporation of liquid? For new models, as I understand it, this mode is adjusted (but I judge by the model 3197 - it also has VitaPlus technology - top model). In general, I do not know well the new models such as 3158, 3137, 3136. But in 3067, the auto-heating is not switched off beforehand. 3137 and 3136 differ only in volume (one for 4, the other for 5 liters) and color. In models with VitaPlus technology (3158, 3136 and 3137) double heating element - the bowl heats up faster, the bottom warms up more evenly. They also have a good temperature range: "For baking, you can choose between 40 ° C and 160 ° C, and for multi-cook, between 30 ° C and 160 ° C (in 10 ° C increments)." For all three models, auto-heating is disabled. The 3158 has a richer choice of modes, but the modes in the 3136 and 3137 will be enough. Another difference between the 3158 is that its control is touch-sensitive, while the 3136 and 3137 have a push-button control. All three have bowls with handles and a "ceramic" coating (I liked this coating in both 3095 and 3197). Don't like the "ceramic" coating? You can buy a cup from Phillips with a non-stick coating from Daikin (very resistant). They are available for both 4 and 5 liters. As I understand it, the plate and the lid itself are not removable.
Miranda, not everyone will want to ferment in plastic, especially if they are looking for "eco-friendly" bowls. And about the choice of yogurt makers is a separate topic, not this one. But I will support the fact that 4001 is preferable because its body is high, it covers most of the glasses in height, which improves the temperature distribution along the height, in 4001 you can use 0.5 liter cans (4 pcs.). But on this, let's dwell on the yogurt makers in this topic. There is a separate topic about 4001 HERE.
