What is frying and braising? So, do you need active frying or not?
Well, so that when necessary I could simply fry the meat thoroughly, and when necessary - and stew it with vegetables. It would be desirable to have a larger steamer, so that it would be more convenient to make manti ... Another would be pilaf mode, for example. In general, if Samsung and LG do not produce multicooker, and you do not like Vitek, then we will consider other brands, since then do not get hung up on one Philips, if there is something better ... With the recommended models of which we will now get acquainted
PS. On the resource where we will order there is a Philips HD 2173/03 multicooker-pressure cooker and a Philips HD 3058/03 multicooker, in principle, you can choose from them, if it is optimal

Manna, please tell me Polaris 0310 is it worth taking?
0310 has good functionality. The multicooker is not bad, if you don't get married. It has a ceramic-coated bowl, but, it seems, it fits from Redmond. The 0308 has a little less functionality (but less precisely for those modes that somehow work strangely in 0310), but the bowl is coated from Daikin. The plate is not removable.

Do you need a multicooker or pressure cooker? The pressure cooker does not open during cooking, it works under pressure.

To fry the meat, you need active frying. Stew with vegetables on the "Stew" mode - all multicooker has it. The "Pilaf", "Rice" mode is available for all multicooker. There can be no more steamers - the diameter of the bowls in 5-liter multicooker is no more than 22 cm, and the diameter of the steamer is no more than 21 cm at the top and 20 cm at the bottom.

Manna, in general, you can stop at Philips HD 3058/03 or would you recommend more suitable models from other companies?
Manna
Cure, I already offered you the list. Phillips has a good bowl and active frying. But it is these models (3058, 3067, 3037) that have a non-removable inner plate. But for 3077, the plate is removable (it is easier to clean if the lid suddenly gets dirty during cooking).
Cure
Manna, yes, thanks again. We just decided not to consider brands unknown to us.
At the moment, you can choose from Panasonic SR-TMJ181 BTW and Philips HD 3077/40, and also recommended Vitek VT-4209 (BW) - but this is already up to the experts.
What do you advise?
Manna
Cure, Panasonic SR-TMJ181 BTW soft frying (or rather, almost no frying of it), I was talking about MHS (its frying is more joking, and in general the model is more modern), not TMJ. Why do you need Vitek VT-4209 if you already have a bread maker? Of these three, I would choose the Philips HD 3077.
Monica
Manna, girls, I report
I went and bought Polechka The bowl from Redmond fits and is calmly inserted in the same way as from little Fili, which is very pleasing
The sellers stood with drooping jaws looking at my manipulations with pots, the main thing that did not interfere
I cooked a lemon compote, everything works, the countdown goes. I'll put milk porridge in the morning.
While everything is happy, and then we'll see.
Thank you very much for the advice

Ok, it’s on sale. But the Philips HD 3077 does not specify yogurt or pilaf in the functions. Do not know if this is so, because not always 100% accurate infa on the site? From Panasonic SR-DY101WTQ is still on sale - all this is listed there + 2014. As for Vitek, it turns out that the VT-4215 BW was recommended, but this is true, by the way.
Ofeliya
SR-DY101WTQ 3 liters. And Philips HD 3077 5 liters. And in this Philips model, there really is no yogurt and pilaf.

Ofeliya, Thank you!
Well, then let's wait, maybe someone else will advise you to look at something interesting ...
Ofeliya
If you choose from Philips, then the 3067 model has both frying, and pilaf, and yogurt, and a manual mode with a temperature setting from 40 to 160.
Or 3037. Or 3058 But Manna has already written that they do not have a removable plate in the lids. Washing is not so convenient, but possible.
You can still wait for the Panasonic SR-TMZ550 and SR-TMZ540 to start selling. I'm waiting

101 by 3 liters. 181 to 5. But the DY series is not the best one. The 3077 has a "Rice" mode, you can cook pilaf on it. But she really does not have the "Yogurt" regime. But here you have a choice of either the "Yogurt" mode, or the removable plate. By the way, if you want to regularly prepare yoghurt, it is better to purchase a yoghurt maker. And if you play around ... is it worth it at all to make this mode a criterion for choosing? I do not cook yogurt in multicooker at all, extremely rarely, only if the entire volume that I needed was not included in the yogurt maker. But there are those who prepare yogurt in multicooker. But usually, these housewives have this slow cooker not the only one, since yogurt is prepared for at least 4 hours, this time it will be impossible to use a slow cooker. And every time you sterilize the yoghurt bowl and plate ... and if you cook yoghurt in cups, it won't be so much ... In general ... think

By the way, if you want to regularly prepare yoghurt, it is better to purchase a yoghurt maker.

Well I do not know.
For five days now we have been with the Brand 701 multicooker, which we took in exchange for the broken yogurt maker.

The yogurt and cottage cheese in it are excellent, we put it right in the bowl overnight (we took our own ceramic under milk, and we took an additional non-stick one for cooking).

Only on the first day the time was allocated for what for what, because everything and immediately wanted. And now - I eat in the afternoon, yogurt / cottage cheese at night, in the morning it only remains to transfer (yogurt) to jars or toss into cheesecloth (cottage cheese).

Of course, it is not enough for us, because we are used to cooking everything in a yogurt maker not in glasses but in a bowl - it was 3 liters, and here there are 2 workers. We are yogurt and cottage cheese eaters - for breakfast there is always a glass of yogurt (sometimes + tsp. Fiber) and 100-120 gr. cottage cheese. And a glass of yogurt for the night. And we also have a lot of yogurt for cooking, instead of sour cream and sauces on it.

Well, we have already re-leavened yogurt twice (of course, we put one jar aside from the first sourdough). And even the cottage cheese was re-fermented once (they took half a glass for the first cooking 20 minutes before the program switched to high temperatures) - it came out great.

That is, we cook in it for only five days, and managed to make 6 liters of yogurt (1 sourdough and 2 re-sourdough cultures) and 1.75 kg of cottage cheese (from 4 liters of milk, that is, 2 times 2 liters each). And only on the first day we experienced a problem with distribution, on the rest - it is almost every night that CF works for milk, in the afternoon for food.

Right now, they put it experimentally again - milk + yogurt in the Curd mode. It will turn out if - tomorrow I will make a cottage cheese casserole.

I don't know how such a routine is for beginners, but after two years of the yogurt maker there are no problems, all actions are familiar, we do not notice personal involvement at all - 5-15 minutes. We sterilize the bowl in Steam mode, the spare lid is also removable for milk only. Then pour out the water, pour in the milk, pour in the leaven, press the button and go about your business.

The family jokes that I bought a yogurt maker that can cook food.
PS We ferment both yoghurt and cottage cheese from dry starter cultures.
Larssevsk
Miranda, and what was wrong with the yogurt maker? Does the slow cooker make yogurt better than it? I have a brain explosion. I bought a separate cartoon for cereals. And to cook milk in the same device with meat ... No, you, of course, described everything well about steam sterilization, but not everyone has spare bowls and lids.
And my main question is, after all, WHAT IS BETTER TO COOK YOGHURT IN A MULTI-COOKER THAN IN A YOGHURT MIXER?
Manna
Quote: Bijou

2 liters is good. But 4x0.5 liters is far from being included in all bowls, there are those in which 2x0.5 liters cannot be crammed

Quote: Larssevsk

Yes, this is a serious sterilization question. Otherwise, in a simply washed multicooker (and even with a non-removable lid plate!), You can grow not yogurt at all with the appearance of yogurt.

Ofeliya, Manna, thanks again for the advice.

As I understand it, our requirements - steaming, yoghurt, pilaf, milk porridge, frying and stewing - best meet Philips HD3058 / 03? For whatever reasons we do not need these functions

That is, from the ones we have on sale, besides her, Panasonic SR-TMJ181 BTW (old model), Panasonic SR-DY101WTQ (apparently the volume is too small), Philips HD 3077/40 (lack of necessary functions) and Vitek VT-4205 (nobody for some reason does not advise), the best choice would be Philips HD3058 / 03?

and what was wrong with the yogurt maker?

She was great! Brand 4001, where, in addition to 7 glasses, there was also a 3 liter bowl.
But we broke it - we accidentally filled it with water, and the electronics did not dry out. And for almost two years she worked with a bang.

And they were already running to buy a new one, but they stumbled over a multicooker and decided it. Moreover, we moved from Moscow time to the region to work for a year, and here in a rented apartment the stove is full ..., we thought to buy a new one at our own expense, and then decided a multicooker, which we will take with us when we leave.

At the same time, we now have a logic failure. The kitchen is small, we decided that we don't want many appliances, in the sense of a slow cooker + yogurt maker. But now we are thinking about the second multicooker

A bowl and lid extra. specially bought, yes.

Quote: Larssevsk
And my main question is, after all, WHAT IS BETTER TO COOK YOGHURT IN A MULTI-COOKER THAN IN A YOGHURT MIXER?

Nothing
To taste - absolutely the same.
In terms of the logistics of actions, it is practically the same. I got used to sterilizing, they did not do it in cups, but transferred it from the bowl. I liked the cottage cheese mode - I used to set the cottage cheese so that by the end I would be near, so that the water bath was on the stove right away, but here you can be late, that is, I put it at night - the water bath has been replaced by a transition to high temperatures, and still cool down until it is thrown back into cheesecloth. I never put it in a cold bath, it cooled down, for some reason I like it more.

And we leaned towards Brand in the end precisely because they had a yogurt maker and liked them very much. We decided that they know how to do this.

To be honest, I still think to buy another yogurt maker. I just can't convince my family to use a lot of equipment, it takes time
Larssevsk
Well, of course, in your case, buying a multicooker with wide functionality is the best solution. Let it work and please. And buy more yogurt maker.

Now I want the second. I don’t know why yet, in the sense that there’s no problem to cook at the same time. But I'll wait until the New Year, where there will definitely be a fuss and tell my family - you see, one is missing, give me a second on NG

And there the yogurt maker will also pull up

Until a new Panasik appeared, I was thinking about pressure cookers. Orsson originally wanted 4002 or 5010. Especially 5010 like bright ones. But here everyone praises Shteba DD2 so much that I thought. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place
What is the fundamental difference between the 5010 and DD2?

What is the fundamental difference between the 5010 and DD2?
Shteba has the ability to adjust the temperature in increments of 1 ° С (error ± 2 ° С). The cover is removable. Control panel on the case. Steel bowl (you can buy both non-stick and ceramic). Did I miss anything?
Ofeliya
It seems we have no spare bowls for Steba. And in Orson, a removable lid plate. It means that only the temperature control remains
Rick
Olga, since Shteba has a removable cover, then problems with cesspool washing no. The only thing, the removable plate is easier to hold. (I have a multi with removable plates, so I have something to compare with) So, it seems to me, in this case, this is not the main selection criterion.
Ofeliya
Evgeniya, I have 2 multi, which don't even have removable plates. The wash has adapted, so the lid for me is not at all a parameter to choose.
Larssevsk
Olga, multicooker and pressure cooker for absorbing odors are two big differences
Snusmumrik
I will write for girls from Ukraine. They sent me an ad by mail today, maybe it will come in handy for someone. The action "When buying a Panasonic multicooker - the second as a gift!" Manna, it seems that Philips and Panasonic sent spies to each other. There is a lot in common in their new products - steamers that can stand and hang, bowls with super-durable dusting and handles, etc.
Manna
I can't say anything about Panasonic in practice (they are not on sale yet), but Philips has sold this model for several months, so we can test it. So far my first impressions are good
Larssevsk
I also really liked the bowl, the functionality, and the presence of 2 touch programs (I love them), and the removable lid. If everything still works correctly .... How much does it cost?
Manna
They are with Panasonic in the same price range. I have not yet understood about the sensibility. There is no certainty, since the display shows a specific time. It will be necessary to test these modes and look at the cooking time.
Larochka, better go to that topic, if you want to discuss this model, so as not to flood with special reasoning here

Now there are so many new products from different brands ... I recently read that Redmond will soon release the SkyCooker multicooker.
