So I doubted between 2501 and 2502, but then I looked at all my kitchen equipment and realized that 2502 would be like a thorn in the eye, since everything else is white.
And about leaving - they say that prints remain on the stainless steel case. But an experienced hostess will cope with this too!
As for the prints on the case (from what?) - I do not agree. There are no spots on 2502. I have a rather unusual situation: the HP stands on the countertop and does not go along the opening height of the lid, and in the process of working on the HP I have to take it out to the kitchen table several times. And no stains remain. The whole family is happy with HP. After each baking, wipe with a damp cellulose cloth.

Hello! Can you please tell me I was looking for a recipe for bread with ham, I could not find it (maybe I was looking badly ...). I decided to make a regular white, already tested. I added 70g of cheese (how much there was) and 150g of ham (cut into small cubes), immediately threw the cheese, and the ham into the dispenser. When the lid was closed, the dispenser opened (apparently there was a lot of it). I decided, since I dropped everything right away, I will bake it on 01 (main) program. I followed the kolobok. And how was it baked - the roof collapsed, the cheese melted (naturally), but the ham too. Maybe you should have done it at 06 (dietary with raisins)? In general, what is the difference between programs, why are they called differently?

Good day, dear bakers!

The first "pancake" (and by no means "lumpy", in many respects - thanks to the experience gathered here):
Panasonic SD-2500, SD-2501, SD-2502 (1)
- simple (mode "Basic", SD-2500), no frills - but still tasty wherever the store ...

We also tried simple wholemeal bread ("Diet" mode). With the exception of a somewhat fallen roof - quite well, I did not have time to live up to the photo At the same time, I was somewhat surprised by the rather thick side crust in comparison with the store-bought side crust (not the roof!) - is that all so? Doubts of the "teapot": does it bake? However, in any case - delicious ...

In the future, we focus on bread with the addition of rye flour. Although the SD-2500 model does not have a "rye" mode, I suppose this is not an insurmountable obstacle, is it?
The standard instruction does not spoil the details, the manufacturer saved on the detailed description of the modes. However, for the "French" mode, "Bread with rye flour" is given as an example. The rye flour in the example, however, is minuscule: the seventh part ... Someone from the owners of the SD-2500 tried it?

What is Single Grain Mode for? The term "Single-grain" itself is not clear ... Is the mode only for spelled bread, as in the examples?

Confused by the absence of the 8 beeps promised by the instruction at the end of the program ..."Lucky" with the copy or so for all SD-2500s? (instruction - combined for models SD-2500, SD-2501)

Another question. The times of processes in the list of programs and modes are given in the range from "...." - to "...", that is, it changes automatically (?) Depending on the room temperature. However, in the "Total" column - fixed value (which is shown on the display after selecting a program) ... Strange, it suggests itself from "...." - to "..."

Happy holidays to all, past and future, good bread - first of all - in the new year!

perhaps under the name "single grain" hides the "whole grain" mode? I have a previous model, so I can only guess.

The difference between Panasonic and most other ovens is that a specific program, REGARDLESS of the specified loaf size, crust color and ambient temperature, will end after the same very specific time. For example, the "main" will end not after 3:00 or 3:25 (go guess, is it warm or cold in your kitchen?), But always after 4:00. "Frenchman" not in 4-5-6 hours, but always in 6 hours. He gave his wife a stove 2501, but he was so carried away not childishly, for how many years they ate "the wrong bread", baked simple and super French. Explain to me. please, just such a simple thing.

When choosing the mode, it is possible to select the size of the loaf (not in all, esseseno), but I forgot to change and left XL, but mixed up with L. What in the brains of the stove changes when the size changes?

And do I need to do something extra now, or leave it as it is? Maybe turn off baking early?
Rina
nothing to do. The oven, depending on the size, will give a little more or a little less heat when lifting and baking. But for plain wheat bread, the difference between "neighboring" sizes is not so noticeable as to interfere with the work. Especially in your case, when the program is given to a larger adjacent size. If there was a difference between M and XL, then it might be worth intervening. A worse option is if the program is for a small loaf, but a large one is kneaded - the difference is one and a half times, the heating may simply not be enough for baking.

I also have an SD-2500. I baked rye bread according to a recipe from this forum - earlier in the same topic, in my opinion, someone wrote.
The flour content was approximately as follows: 60-70% rye (peeled) to 40-30% wheat.
The bread turned out to be delicious, we did not have time to take pictures)))

Follow the link that I gave right before your message - the section of rye yeast bread. Vanya28 has everything described in great detail, as far as I remember, for models 254/256 (which also did not have a rye mode).

As a last resort, use the recipes from the "wheat-rye" and "rye-wheat" sections, but on the main program. Very good "Darnitsky" from the fugasca (CLICK HERE).

Hello.

I am going to buy a Panasonic bread maker (model 2500) in the coming days. I looked through the forum, studied the "Baking Guide" and am already torn into battle for homemade bread. But there is a question to which I have not yet found an answer.

If you put the bread baking on a timer (from the evening, so that it is ready, let's say by 7-00 in the morning), will the dough knead normally? After all, all the ingredients will lie for several hours before kneading and will it not turn out that everything will mix, get wet and sour prematurely and the oven will not be able to properly knead the dough and bake bread?

If you use a personally tested recipe for wheat breads or with a small amount of rye flour, carefully lay the ingredients, level and pour the water very carefully, then everything will be baked.

with the correct balance of "flour / water" (see links on the first page of the topic) wheat flour will not have any problems. The stove will mix everything perfectly, and the water on the timer (with the bookmarking order prescribed by the instructions) will not soak anything so terribly, simply due to the properties of wheat flour (a story is passed in my family about how my great-great-grandfather earned money by diving and pulling from a drowned barge bags with flour on the surface - only a very small layer of flour got wet in the bags and this dough "shirt" prevented almost all the flour from getting wet, so that almost all the cargo was sold for a real price).

Rye flour (if there is a large enough percentage in the recipe) has different properties. If I leave "rye" on the timer, I get quite normal bread, but with a little unmixed flour in the corners.

In general, wheat - on the timer without problems.

On the fast program, you need twice as much yeast. The quality of the bread on the main program is better, because all the processes inside the bread have time to go their own way, and on the fast mode they are artificially spurred by an increased amount of yeast. Better still not to get carried away with quick bread, and use this function only in "emergency" situations.

Girls, what kind of flour is better to buy - at my house Macfa - will it go?

tv2000, congratulations on purchasing such a useful assistant
For a start, ordinary wheat flour of the highest grade is suitable (if it is possible to get wheat flour of the 1st grade, then this is generally a class). Be sure to decide on the yeast (look in a suitable topic), and before starting work, be sure to read "A guide to baking bread in a homemade bread maker" and pay attention to the rule of a bun.

Thank you for your congratulations and advice))) My parents sent me yeast from Altai - my dad has been baking bread on a Panasonic CD-200 for a couple of months (the model is old, and the stove is practically new - it was there for many years - it was my grandmother's). So the parents sent the yeast, on which they have good breads (pakmaya like, I'm at work, I can't say the name for sure). They have their own bread recipe, I'll try it later - I'll post it here. I have already read everything about the kolobok, it remains to get home after work (at 10 pm I will be home and, apparently, until we eat some chlebushkas, we will not go to bed).

Hello happy bakers! ))) I already wrote here about my first bread on New Year's Eve. The first regular medium-sized bun was baked on the 31st, after which there was a small milk one, a regular large one, and today - an egg small one. In addition, she kneaded the dough for a regular pizza - made a closed pie with cabbage out of it, and for a thin pizza - made a pizza from it. She reported about egg bread in theme with basic recipe.

What can I say? Sheer delight! Now I'm trying basic recipes - I see what happens with different sizes of a roll, color of the crust, products, recipes. I collect statistics, study the recommendations on the forum and the assortment in city stores. )))) I don’t like random experiments - I prefer to provide a scientific and theoretical basis and apply the experience accumulated by the people to what I’m doing. )))

And thank you very much to everyone who shares knowledge and ideas!

Hello everyone
Yesterday, a little later than 3 o'clock in the morning, my first bread was baked)))
So all the reports are today.
When the kneading was done, I did not add the flour to the norm a little, it seemed that the bun was sticking a little to my hands - I filled the flour to the norm, but still, apparently in vain - when I realized it was already too late. As a result, the roof moved a little on one side, but it did not affect the taste. I baked ordinary bread without eggs and milk on program 1 - a large bun - all of a sudden the guests would come today for a tasting.
Although I didn't get enough sleep after work, until 3 o'clock in the morning they ran around the bread machine - everyone looked - what was happening there (baked after work, laid the ingredients already at 11 pm). The beginning of baking smelled about 2-3 minutes after the start))). Then they counted the minutes until the end of baking - the smell was very tempting. I really wanted to look inside when baking was going on
A minute before the end of baking, we were already standing near the bread machine with a camera down, even filmed on video.
I liked the bread very much, we couldn't resist at night, we tried it while still warm. Amazingly soft, airy bread, spreads out even when squeezed hard.
A dream come true - to bake homemade bread
(I waited for my Panasonechka for more than 3 months - I really didn't want to overpay a lot, but in general I thought about buying a bread maker for a long time)
Thank you all for the advice, without this forum it would be difficult.
