I went to panasonic.jp.
Everything is in Japanese, but if you somehow translate it, there are a lot of interesting things, for example, recipes.
By the way, I looked at the new bread machines, there is a video of the cooking processes. So in the latest newest model, at the beginning, they put a spatula on the shaft in a bucket and it can be seen that in real Japanese models (for the market of their country), a spatula on the shaft with a backlash, that is, as much has been said about this, this fact is present everywhere - so it is conceived and so necessary.
But dry yeast was poured into a special dispenser. So it turns out, the flour is mixed with water, and the yeast is poured later. Is it possible?

Hello everyone! Take in the friendly ranks of bakers. The day before yesterday, our family became the proud owner of a Panasonic SD-2501 bread machine. In 2 days, 4 loaves were baked: 2 main fast, 1 milk, 1 rye. My husband is delighted, colleagues are delighted, and I am waiting for Easter to try baking cake as well.

It became interesting ... I never saw 2502 in a white case ... I deliberately rummaged in the internet on this topic ... so I never met a white 2502 ... I think it's just the carelessness of online stores ...

Congratulations on your purchase! The stove is really a delight. I have this same model for about a month. I understand you perfectly, I want to bake everything, at once and more. I experimented with dry yeast for a week, then switched to pressed. The result immediately became even better. And I replace some of the water with whey, if not, any sour milk will do, or I add a couple of tablespoons of yogurt (then I put less water from the recipe). Yesterday for the first time I baked egg bread from a recipe book, pressed yeast only instead of dry. And I don't have milk powder, I just replaced half the amount of water in the recipe with milk. I did it in 2 stages with dough (by the way, I bake all the bread according to the recommendations of experienced hostesses from this forum). And then I added 2 hours on the timer. Baked for the night. In the morning I opened the stove, and there is such beauty. Here it is, egg handsome:
Panasonic SD-2500, SD-2501, SD-2502 (1)
And the taste is even tastier than just white, in general, every time I think if HP can still surprise me, and in fact it surprises and even pleasantly shocks me. And I made friends with Borodinsky, slowly trying different ovens.
I wish you pleasant surprises in your experiments too! And delicious fragrant bread!

Tell me, pzhl, who tried (experimented). I want to replace the VS flour with whole flour in the rye bread recipes according to the instructions for 2501. Will the oven cope with kneading such a dough? Will the dough rise normally and the bread will be baked? Thank you.

Hello!

Dear owners of SD-2502, please tell me.
I am looking at the instructions for this oven, it turns out that the "Baking" mode cannot be started on a timer? I really wanted to knead the dough for rye bread in the evening (or rather at night because we go to bed late) and set the baking timer for the morning. We were already going to buy this stove and there is such a frustration, for us the ability to bake at night was very important, maybe you misunderstood something?

Rina
Alas, it is the timer-based baking mode that does not turn on. How long should the rye dough be allowed to stand?
Mona1
And I make a dough with wheat flour, which is present in the recipe, and then I add rye flour and everything else, I set the rye program with a timer, add 2-3 hours, if I bake at night. You can also. It turns out wonderful Borodino bread. Thanks to Rina for the recipe again! Although I bake mostly during the day. It's more convenient for me, always at home, and when it's done, a bun made of rye flour is sticky, sometimes you have to scoop up flour into it from the corners with a silicone spatula From pure rye (without wheat) I didn't bake it that way, if that's what you want.

1. Why not set the "rye" mode with a timer? she will knead and bake herself.

2. If you are talking about sourdough rye bread (it takes more time for proving), then there is still a way out. Knead the dough, form the bread, put it in the HP bucket, put any mode of your choice on the timer, even the rye one, but remove the spatula, then the stove will "pretend" in due time that it kneads, but the dough will not disturb, because. Nothing, then proofing and baking. Oops !! and you get ready-made bread by the morning.

Hello, dear bread craftsmen!

Your advice is very necessary. The need to buy a stove has long been ripe, and now, this moment has come.
It took a long time to study all the subtleties and now the question arose 501 or 502?

I am interested in what is the cardinal difference between these stoves.
According to my data, these are the dimensions of the bucket itself, for the finished product is 501 less than 502.

And yet, at the beginning of this topic, infa flashed that there is no dispenser in the 501, but the dispenser is mentioned in the specifications. Or here we are talking about a raisin dispenser.

In general, my dear craftsmen, I really count on your help, because on the weekend I want to make my dream come true.

If this topic has already been raised, please do not judge strictly. After long searches and comparisons, the head became square and it is easier for me to ask than to dig further.

Thank you for understanding.
Mona1
The 2502, unlike the 2501, has a yeast dispenser. Only necessary if you are using dry yeast. But if you bake on pressed ones (and bread tastes better on them), then it is useless.
And another difference in appearance. 2502 - stainless steel body. You can take it if such a design is in the kitchen, for example. But, as for me, fingerprints on the stainless steel will have to be wiped off all the time.
I have 2501. I didn't want to overpay just for the yeast dispenser. And now I think that even if the 2502 were cheaper, I wouldn't take it.Just imagine: I put everything in a bucket, including the compressed yeast, then I turn on the desired mode, and at some point a sharp pop - the dispenser (empty) for yeast opened. We must go and close it. And so every time. First get scared by the cotton, then return it to its starting position. I would soon begin to annoy at least, especially if it claps at night.
But: if you are going to bake only with dry yeast, then perhaps the presence of a dispenser is a pleasant highlight. (besides, then there is no need to be afraid that the yeast will come into contact with the liquid earlier than it should be) But, I repeat - pressed yeast CANNOT be put into it. Only DRY. I pampered dry for only a week, until the bag was over, then I began to improve my breads and switched to live yeast, to add whey instead of part of the water, and other moments. Now sometimes I only use dry yeast SAF-Levure in case of emergency, if I suddenly run out of live yeast, and I can get out to the market for them only in a couple of days. So somehow.
This is, like, all the differences between these models. Maybe the owners of 2502 will add something else.
I'm happy with my 2501, like an elephant and my mother, having recently seen enough of my delights, also bought it.
By the way, for the difference in the price of these models, you can buy a good kitchen scale, a silicone spatula, a sieve mug. And this is O-very important, as it turned out.
So think both models are decent. Buy and make bread, write about the results. If something does not work out, then they will gladly prompt you here.

Mona1 Thank you so much for your help! I accept all advice with great gratitude
I am very attracted to the yeast dispenser because it (in my, most likely, amateurish opinion) greatly simplifies the whole process.

But, I will wait for the opinions of experienced bakers. If, indeed, you can easily do without a dispenser, then I will not bother myself anymore.

After reading about bread and having seen enough pictures, I can't wait to get a stove.
Moreover, this will be our first stove, plus everything, our family has never tried homemade bread.
Everything is sly

Shl. And the scales, spatula and sieve are already waiting for the stove!

Yes, somehow everyone is still getting along. A yeast dispenser is not needed at all.

Yes, take your time. For a couple of months before buying, I re-read everything I found. And also, like you, I never baked bread. I was shocked by the result, literally the first time everything worked out. Panasonic's ovens are wonderful.
And yet, like you, I did not have any experience of not only bread, but did not deal with yeast at all - wet or dry, everything was the same. And leaned more towards dry. I think it's easier this way, you don't bother, I poured all the components into the bucket in the right order and that's it. I did just that, and the bread turned out to be both high and fluffy, but the crumb was a little wadded. Nowadays, such weightless crumb bread with a fluffy slightly rubbery crumb is sold in full. This is all bread with dry fast-acting yeast. But when I bought the stove, I wanted bread like it used to be baked in the last century, so to speak. Now I have already figured out that live yeast rules! I haven't reached the leaven yet, everything is ahead! Therefore, I understand how difficult it is for you to choose without experience.
Here's another thing, it would be nice that the owners of 2502 write whether it is possible to somehow turn off this dispenser so that it does not open, if you bake with live yeast, it would be good, but when you bake it on dry it will work. Then I'm over 2502! But I'm afraid this cannot be done, everything is written there in the brains of the stove.
