First bread.
The very first recipe was taken as a basis: White egg bread on the 1st program (standard mode).
It was during Lent, so eggs were excluded from the recipe .............

.......... The next day I baked bread for 1.5 kg.

Bread Maker Kenwood BM900

It was experimentally found that the degree of baking of the "roof" practically does not depend on the size of the bread. After Lent, the addition of eggs and milk radically changed the situation - the "roof" became beautiful and ruddy.
The lean bread turned out to be a little "humped": this is due to the fact that there are 2 screws in this oven, and as a result of mixing between approaches, a small "mound" is formed above each. This does not affect the taste or the approach of the test at all. The "non-postal" dough behaves differently - the "roof" is uniformly convex.
The bread maker is great at kneading the dough and it works great. The bread is light and tasty.

Vitaly, I want to ask for a recipe White egg bread on the 1st program (standard mode)
Unfortunately, I do not have this recipe. And I would like to try it on eggs and milk ... It's too early for me to improvise, because this HP is the first and there is no experience. Therefore, precision is needed.

You're my guide to this Bread Maker, so I'll bake Lean White Bread tomorrow. Will be studying!

Ilona, I will bake bread - definitely. After I learn how to make the most delicious things from the bread maker, I will switch to combined work ... In general, the topic of correct, tasty and healthy bread touched me very much ... in my heart !!! We no longer buy bread and sweet pastries in the store ... in general ... Bread from a bread machine is beautiful and tasty, and I myself cook sweets ...
For almost a month I have a gift from the Bread Maker website. I never had HP and had no experience in baking either. And then the moment came ... Honestly, I have always been waiting for this moment in my life, when will I decide to bake bread. For me, there were new interesting knowledge about bread, tests and experiments. I drew the whole theory mainly from Admin, for which many thanks. Of course, I shoveled the entire Internet in search of information in general about everything related to baking in HP and not only. There is something to learn.
I want to say thank you for the wonderful and necessary device for me. A real and convenient helper, very clear and easy to use.
At this stage, I checked many recipes: breads, types of muffins, simple baking of buns, kneading dough for dumplings, dumplings, pizza. The appraisal for the quality of the products is excellent. The recipe book is limited to a few recipes, unfortunately, but I will share my developed recipes for the Kenwood bm900.

Hello everyone.
I use BM9000 stove every other day.
After 11 months, the mold began to leak, changed under warranty.
The bread is good, tasty.

I report: the stove was returned to the store.
Bought BM 450.
But that miracle was so good. Marriage happens everywhere, and she baked the first bread very well!
You can read in detail about its advantages on the website

I also want to add about the bread maker itself.
From Moulinex 5024 ill-fated, it almost does not differ in functions. The advantage is the dispenser and the design, the disadvantage is the lack of molds for baguettes, not such a convenient recipe book. by the way, it was not in the box in printed form, you need to look at the copy ..
If you can buy such baguette forms from Moulinex, it would be cool)) I think they will fit here too. it is necessary to ventilate this question ...

All advantages can be read on this site

We bought BM900 a week ago, I bake every other day, I even did the impossible - I grew a "puncture" sourdough while I was alone - this is a failed bread with an unripe sourdough, yesterday it turned out very good with the same sourdough. delicious bread!

Please, help. Your help is urgently needed. gentlemen bakers. Yesterday I bought this Kenwood 900 stove.
put all the ingredients according to the instructions, on the first program with an average crust of 1.5 kg the bread did not work at all. did not get up, the top is all white. While the process was going on, I never heard how the convection fan was working, so I immediately began to think about its malfunction, and not about the wrong ingredients. Then, in order to check whether it was exactly the fan's fault, he pulled out the bucket and, with the lid open, started the 11th program ("baking") at the bottom, the spiral heated up and cooled down, but the fan did not turn on. Hence the question, look at your stoves, please, if you turn on the 11th program, the convection fan turns on immediately and how long does it work ?? Can you hear his work ?? or it turns on only at a certain temperature or when the lid is closed only)).
I'm waiting for your help so that you can go and change it in the store. thank you in advance
Tasha
The fan is not programmed in program 11. It shouldn't turn on. It's just baked goods. I bake muffins, biscuits, gingerbreads, buns ... It's great.
On program 1, the fan turns on when baking, it does not work for a long time and is quiet.
At the beginning of baking (with the start of the tena), the dough in the bucket should already be raised. Pay attention to this! Maybe there was a mistake with the ingredients tab ...
I had a new oven baked white bread 1pr. -1kg - dark crust, but still moderately light crust. After 3 months, bread with the same functions - already with a gingerbread hump. It can be seen that the spiral has "mastered". The bread is great!

Thank you very much for responding so quickly. everything is as you wrote here. tried it again today, the bread rose very well, even got it to the viewing window, the fan also heard how it was working and the crust was exactly as you wrote while it was just browned a little. with me plus and a huge gratitude for the detailed answer.

Hello everyone!
Today I bought a VM900 in Citylink, sort of like a discounted one. The reason for the markdown is written "scratch on the case". My wife and I searched for about 20 minutes, but they didn't find a fig. Only after the first bread, I saw a small dent on the form at a certain angle. A discount came out 2tyr
The first bread immediately turned out quite excellent. Now they put it on with a delay for the morning, let's see what happens. How will my wife play enough, we will bake like everyone else

Congratulations on the bread!
I dream of baking Borodinsky ... but have not yet found a recipe that suits me. But here Darnitsky bread in a bread maker came to my taste.
It doesn't go up much, but it shouldn't. In ovens, it is molded into round bread.

Darnitsky bread

Warm water - 270ml
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
Honey - 1st tbsp. l.
Rye flour - 150g
Wheat flour - 250g
Fast-acting dry yeast - 1.5 hours. l.
Fine salt - 1.5 tsp. l.

Mix water, rast. oil and dissolve honey in liquid. Pour into a bucket. Next, sift the flour into a bucket. Pour salt-sugar along the edges, make a depression in the middle in the flour and measure out the yeast - add ...
Set program number 3. Here you only need to warm up - 30 min .... then switch to program number 6. Kneading for 17 minutes, as soon as the oven stops for a pause - remove the blades .... Then you can not interfere with the process. The oven gives 60 minutes to rise and 60 minutes to bake.

It turns out a beautiful brick, beautiful in section.
Iriha
Hello everyone! I have a question. And the mixers should be different or is it just me?
Tasha
I have the same!
alex_gaid
The kindest, dear bakers. I am also the owner of the BM900 device. Interested in the question of convection. More precisely about the fan operating modes. No matter how trite and stupid it may sound, the suspicions that I might have problems with the same forced convection fan arose only now, after reading this forum thread. The fact is that I have never heard the operation of this fan. I thought he was some kind of super silent. But knowledgeable people write that the work of this fan is quite easy to hear. Before going to the service, I would like to make sure that the fan is really out of order. Tell me how to check its performance. I tried (with the bread maker turned off) through the ventilation holes to twist the impeller blades with a needle. I will not say that it is easy, but the blades rotate. I tried to start (without a bucket) the 1st program in the fast baking mode and, after waiting for the start of baking, I sat with a flashlight at the bread machine, watching through the holes for the fixed impeller blades. I know that forced convection does not turn on in all baking modes. Should it work for quick baking on the first program? Or tell me how to check more? On which programs and at what point to observe ..?
And, can anyone have information - how much will it cost to repair a convection fan?

"P.S." The bread is the same as in your pictures. Is that with the exception of too light and soft "roof". Maybe this is just because forced convection does not work ...

In a word, help. Help me understand and diagnose the operation of the forced convection fan in this bread maker.
alex_gaid
What are all responsive here though ....
Tasha
The fan is heard well and runs for about 15-20 minutes. On the first program, it turns on during baking (last 55 minutes). So I advise you to bake the bread in the normal mode (not fast).
Bread does not really work with a dark crust, but over time this flaw will correct. The fan doesn't matter here.
alex_gaid
Thanks for the answer. I tried it on the first program with a dark crust. And neither heard nor seen that he was spinning. So the cooler really died
The stove has been in service for the 4th day. I am waiting for a call....
alex_gaid
Today I took the bread maker from repair. The malfunction was eliminated. The problem is the same as in most cases. According to service workers, the temperature caked grease and jammed the engine.
The repair cost 120 UAH. (about $ 15).

"P.S." By the way, my fan is very quiet. Only audible when the lid is open.
"P.P.S" It is best to check with program 7. In this program the forced convection fan is also switched on. And the batch on this program is very short (you don't have to wait long).

I'm going to put all the ingredients I need on another delicious loaf of bread.
Tasha
And who would have guessed that it was the lubricant! It's good that this little thing is fixable.
I wish your stove a long and fruitful life!

Good evening!
I bought this miracle yesterday ... Ordinary bread turned out to be excellent. I think we need to learn more complex recipes ..
you can tell the recipe for the cupcake so that everything is loaded into the form and the cupcake is ready ...))
Or do you need to do it in stages?
Tasha
Max, cupcake is not bread. You can fill in all the necessary ingredients and get some kind of rug. A cupcake is not that difficult to make by mixing the mass separately, thereby giving it the chance to be lush and airy. A completely different result is expected when baking. I will give my recipes that helped me out.

Cake, it can be done without cocoa. It will turn out like a biscuit. Top with chocolate or powdered sugar.

Cottage cheese cake with apples and raisins
Cottage cheese 180g
Sour cream 3 tbsp. l.
Wheat flour 220 g
Sugar 175 g
Soften butter 90 g
Eggs 4 medium
Baking soda 1h. l. (no slide)
Citric acid (powder) 1/2 h. l.
Vanilla sugar 1 pack
Apples 2pcs large
Raisins 1 glass

Prepare dried fruits (raisins) and cut apples into small cubes (you can leave the peel).

Remove the shoulder blades. Line a baking dish with baking paper. You can just lay the bottom.

Sift flour with soda and citric acid in advance.

Divide the eggs into whites and yolks. Add the yolks to the bowl with cottage cheese + vanilla sugar + sour cream. Mix the mass until uniform.

Beat the softened butter and sugar with a mixer until fluffy. Not for long! Gradually add whites, whisking. Here the mass becomes more magnificent, whitish, creamy before our eyes. Add the curd mixture gradually. All! Then we take a kneading spatula.
Sift the flour mixture and combine the whole mass with folding movements. Not for long! The dough should not settle. Pour in fructose and connect the mass with several movements.
Place immediately in a bucket.
Program 11. Bake 60 (+ -) min. Maybe 45 minutes, maybe more than 60 minutes. Check with a dry torch, if it comes out dry from the dough, then the cake is ready. In addition, a strong aroma appears when cooked. You can touch the top of the cake with your hand, if it is springy, remove the cake. To take it out of the bucket right away, I pull out the ends of the baking paper. Transfer directly to the wire rack. Wait for the cake to cool completely. Then you will already guess what to do.
Enjoy it.

Good day.

I am the owner of 250 Kenwood. Of the critical claims:
1. The bucket often bounces off, mixing is not done accordingly. The ears were bent, the edges of the bucket were bent, but even now there is no guarantee that the bucket will not bounce off at night.
2. Poorly mixes the mixture from the corners of the mold. Wheat rolls are good, with bran and rye flour - problems arise more often.

If you follow the kolobok and the bucket, everything is fine. If you put on the timer, in the morning you can get a funny roll with a piece of salt in one place and a very sweet piece in another.

This stove was given for nothing, given away as unnecessary.

Please tell me if it is worth changing it to the discussed 900 model in connection with the above claims? BM900 - Mixes Perfectly? even on the timer? the bucket does not jump off?

And yet - I read about the 450 model on Yandex .. they say that the programming function is very loudly named as such .. In general, how much is this function needed, don't you know? I manage to bake for 250 according to the recipes posted on this forum, everything is fine. But suddenly there is something so tasty that I can only bake by programming my program ..)

And also - what is the smallest roll you can bake in the 900 model? 500 gr - can I?
sazalexter
darsergevna Why change the "awl for soap"? With two stirrers, small bread will come out badly, it will be crooked
darsergevna
Yes? I look, and it turns out a big kind - with two hats)

If the oven bakes well (pun intended)) rye-wheat bread on its own from and to (according to a verified recipe without bouncing the bucket and pulling out the rest of the mixture from the corners), then I'll change ..
I would like to guarantee that with a good recipe the stove will not fail, as it is now ..
But thanks about the size .. I'm still reading about 450 in the next topic ...
Tasha
I have a 900 stove - it does not fail. ... t - t - t. I'm happy with the bread and her kneader. Almost every day I knead noodle dough, on dumplings and on dumplings ... Sometimes I even exceed the weight, but even with this load it works.
After laying the white one, I don't even look into the bucket. There is no need to correct with a spatula.
I just took a picture of a hot white bread. This time it turned out with a perfect top, which happens quite often, by the way. But the roof also comes with two round pieces. This is bread for 1kg.

Good afternoon everyone! Can someone tell me, in the prilogam disk, where the programs are written in time, there is an additional line and it costs time. how to install it?
Denis B. 10
Hello dear bakers. As for a month I have been the owner of the unit in question. I like the oven, the bread is delicious. But for some reason, when the convector is turned on (at 55 minutes before the end of program no. 1), the upper crust sinks and you get a hollow, depression, pit, a bowl up to about 1.5 cm deep in the center. The dough rises well - 2-2.5 cm above the edge of the bucket.
I make according to the first recipe for a loaf 1500 gr:
1.water 500 ml (I tried both 550 ml and 600 ml, I heat it up a little in the microwave, it turns out warm 30-40 degrees, with cold water from the tap, the dough generally rises poorly, the crust breaks, the bread is dense);
2.1.5 Art. l. rast. oils;
3.800 gr of 1st grade Altai flour;
4.5 tsp milk powder around the edges, or 3 eggs in water up to 500 ml.
4.2 tsp salt around the edges;
5.3 tsp sugar around the edges;
6.1.5 tsp yeast (tried Adaigo and San Demo did not feel the difference). I put them in a depression made in the center of the flour hill.
I put it on and turn it on right away.
Maybe I am mistaken in something, tell me, please.

Yes, and more. For some reason, a bun when loaded at 1.5 kg does not come out as 1.5 kg, but it turns out 1.2-1.3 kg. so it should be?

thanks in advance

Hello everyone!
Interesting, Denis B. 10 solved the falling roof problem?
They haven't answered him since March ...
We also have a Kenwood BM900 bread maker and the roof is falling too. I bake exactly according to the recipe from the disc.
I think either to reduce the amount of yeast, or the amount of liquid, or add flour.
Who has thoughts?
.. ah, I went to read "Useful tips and help in baking bread" here https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&board=135.0.

I liked this stove very much, and the size is my favorite. I will be very grateful if someone tells me - what about the Jam / Jam mode, does it mix only at the beginning of the mode, or throughout the entire cooking cycle? Did someone do it? I don’t really want to cook thick jam by hand in such a fry.
and also wanted to ask, how does she feel about voltage drops? Does it keep the settings? Thanks for the answer.
Tasha
I didn't make jam, but the oven is programmed to knead for 65 minutes and bake for 50 minutes.

About electricity and failures. My little child turned off the bread machine during work. True, I reacted almost a minute later and turned on the oven again - the sensors did not go astray and the machine continued to work further. But the light was turned off for a long time once - I had to take the dough, knead it and bake it in the gas oven. And the program went off when the electricity was started.

Hello dear bakers!
Thank you very much for the helpful advice. I have a question where you can find or buy (pay webmoney) a recipe for a simple cupcake (like a simple charlotte), very simple, but tasty and quick for breakfast for 9-10 people.
We bought a Kenwood BM900 for our mini hotel. The bread bakes great, but the cupcakes are the problem.

We can thank you for interesting recipes in another way - 5% discount on accommodation in our hotel everyone who sent us an interesting recipe for our needs: a simple, quick, cheap, delicious recipe for 9-10 people, baking time, baking program, recommendations, and so on.

Thanks for the quick response. But to be honest, I have been studying the site for several days and of course I have looked at the information on the link you provided for a long time. But I am interested in specific recipes (by the type of technological map) if it is possible for our model of the Kenwood BM900 bread machine and the number of servings we need.

In general, and in general, indeed, there are many recipes for bread machines on the site. But they still need to be adapted. And alas, a little time

Tasha, how do you switch programs in the process? Are you waiting for the memory to disappear when you unplug it?
2nd question: how do you get the shoulder blades if the dough is lively? well, not a bun?
3. For a 1 kg cake, the time allotted for 1 baking cycle is not enough for me, I have to start it a second time. and who how? And the top of the cupcake turns out to be not tiny (not sandy, but frozen) should it be, or is this the recipe?
4. Something they also did not finalize the French program - there is not enough time to raise the test. Only on the cereal bread program (or 3 or 4) fr. the bread turned out more or less.
Something I was upset with the purchase of this model, we can hurry, I thought it was programmable.I do not have enough extra minutes both in the baking process and in the fermentation process (so that I myself can add).

Bread according to the classic recipe (1) from the description of the oven on the program1

Tell me. you are welcome.
We bought a stove, tried a kilogram of bread - it turns out great. Now they are going to bake for 1.5 kg, but the amount of ingredients confused. In a 1 kg loaf, the amount of dough plus water gives 980 grams, plus little things minus evaporation - a kilogram is obtained. But in the "one and a half" water and flour is typed on 1300 grams, plus a hundred more - little things. Somehow it doesn't add up.
What is the best oven? According to the recipe and accept the fact that one and a half kilograms will not be, or take a kilogram recipe and multiply it by one and a half?
