Hello everyone!
First of all, I want to thank everyone who unsubscribed in this thread. I am one of those strange people who like to read a LOT about a product before buying it, even if it’s some small thing. And if it comes to serious technology, then even more so. So I read ALL of this topic before buying a steam cleaner
As a gratitude for the information received, I want to leave my own review for those who are looking for them.
I bought Kärcher Premium Easy Fix SC3. Thanks to the reviews in this thread, as well as looking at the previous model (SC2) from a friend, I took the third one because of the possibility of adding water during the operation of the unit. It is very, very convenient - every time to wait until it cools down, I would not have enough nerves. And if you get it, then you want to finish what was planned in one fell swoop, and not to arrange forced breaks. It was also important that the floor nozzle was exactly Easy Fix - in the usual model, the rag constantly flies off the nozzle (again, judging by the reviews and what I saw from a friend). In mine, nothing flies, it keeps perfectly with Velcro, and this despite the fact that I have a very embossed flooring. In my kit were three of these floor cloths (100% polyester, white).
I was hoping to mop the floor with it on the first floor, and on the second I was planning to relocate the Vileda steam mop.The plan turned out to be a failure - for my taste and for our coating, steam is too much, even on the minimum steam supply mode. Sorry. I have vinyl floors, in the form of wood-like tiles, respectively, there are joints and glue under them ... And if the steam mop gives uniform pressure and the steam supply is very small (just for sensitive coatings at minimum mode), then Kärcher left the floor too wet. No, there were no puddles, of course, but the floor was really very wet. I read that some users supply steam on the fly and then wash, but this is somehow too fussy for me. The steam mop does better. Nevertheless, it came up for a tile, there is nothing to be afraid of. But I only have tiles in two rooms, so alas ...
The second item is windows. We have 16 of them, including 5 large ones on the floor, plus a glass front door. The house is private, the area is terribly windy, there are endless farm fields nearby. Accordingly, the windows have to be washed once a week for sure. What has always annoyed me about my "normal" window cleaning system is the streak. I suspect they are provided with window cleaners. I could not cope without them With the steam cleaner, this problem has sunk into oblivion - without any additives the glass became completely invisible Although for a short time, because the wind, but this is a separate topic ... My brush attachment, on it is a white cloth with an elastic band from the set (also 100% polyester). Then I immediately remove the water with a screed, wipe the frame from below - it's done. One of these days I plan to buy a vacuum cleaner for windows, either from the same manufacturer, or Leifheit .... Let's see. I hope to use it to shorten the last stage of work - wiping the frame after screed. All in all, Kärcher has proven to be a great helper for glass cleaning.
One more point, I take it out separately, since we have a painful new house (year) and plastic windows. And apparently due to the fact that the house has not yet been completely dried (or God knows why), black mold has started up in the numerous rubber seals of plastic windows. There is a lot of black mold, with which I fought with chlorine-containing agents. But there is also constant wet dirt (wind, fields), and washing out these endless strips of rubber bands, corners, small cracks with bleach is still a pleasure, and a rag does not go everywhere. A steam cleaner is a completely different matter. First, I sprinkled regular vinegar into all these cracks (by the way, thanks for the advice, I read the method here) so as not to spray spores of living mold throughout the house. Then I put on the brush attachment (the smallest) and forward. All that remained was to wipe it dry. It's super, just for the sake of it it was worth buying it.
Kitchen - it's good to clean the microwave, oven, hood here !!! We have it huge and glass, washing it is hard labor. With a steam cleaner - very quick. There is a complete delight here. Bathroom - shower drain, tiles. Although I washed off the grout on the tile, I did not calculate the strength. I'll have to update. The toilet - here I didn't see any changes at all, as it was clean, it remained.
What's also great is that the floor nozzle (which didn't fit me) perfectly refreshes the upholstery of the sofa and armchairs. Here, of course, you need without fanaticism, so as not to get too wet. I run at full power several times, it dries up in 10 minutes completely. Kills odors, refreshes fabrics.
I also disassembled and cleaned the tumble dryer. Without a steam cleaner, I would not have done it - there are a bunch of little corners, cracks, where I simply would not have crawled with a rag. The bad smell that has been present for several months has disappeared
I read that the girls were cleaning their shoes here - I want to try it before my hands have reached it.
For ease of use - I would like to note once again the possibility of adding water! Conveniently. The wire is too short for me, 3-4 meters. I have to switch by sockets. The hose is long, very flexible, does not wrap - convenient. The steam pressure is sufficient, especially at max. mode. What is annoying - after heating and after pauses in use, you need to drain the water from the hose, there is quite a lot of it.The way out - there is always a small plastic jug next to it, where this water is drained, and it is immediately poured back into the steam cleaner. Another of the advantages is that it heats up quickly, for about a minute, so you can safely turn it off during breaks (there are buttons, convenient, no need pull the cord out of the socket) and, if necessary, turn it on again a minute before use. Since the unit eats a lot of electricity, I think it's convenient.
Visually cute, small, the size of a half of a vacuum cleaner Stored compact - the cable and hose are conveniently wound around the tubes that are in the special. holes in the steam cleaner itself.
I hope I was able to help someone in choosing. All
