Cooked soup with meatballs, poured water 1 cm below the MAX mark, set the timer for 60 minutes - SOUP mode. Water poured out through the valve, even flooded the table. I don’t understand, what did I do wrong? I don't want to bet on STEWING, because there is a SOUP mode, why was it invented if everything pours out over the top?

I also have some dishes "climb out" with foam, for example, soup with rice (round rice).

Thanks for answers. I have another question. Who knows what the scales inside the pan mean? And how to cook milk porridge? I heard that it is stewing, but how much grain and milk can you add as much as possible?

I cook milk porridge - a glass of cereal and 3 glasses of milk + a glass of water (everything else to taste, salt, sugar) I mean a multicooker glass. This is how it is for my taste. You can try, then make adjustments for yourself. And on extinguishing... But do not leave for the first time, watch, you never know ... Then you get sick, I promise

If you need lot everything - porridge, soup, that is, a method proven for all rice cookers - (so as not to run away) -

bring to a boil all this substance on the hottest program (for example, a double boiler or baking), you can open the lid and watch, you can vapsche with the lid open-
and switch to heating for an hour or 2. That's it. It will languish on its own - heated at 80 degrees, like in a slow cooker, and in the end it will cook without troubles. And at this time you calmly bainki or knock on the keyboard.

Host girls, tell me, please, how to make yogurt in our Yummuska?
katushok
Maybe I will upset you, but in no way.
As far as I know, such things require a maximum temperature of 39 degrees. I don’t remember that there was such a regime in Yummi ...
It is possible in a bread maker, if there is a function to edit programs (turn off kneading, baking, residual heat, and ... voila!).

As far as I remember, people do this, turn on the heating for a few minutes and turn it off .. after a while, turn it on and off again. It's dreary in my opinion, but if there is a desire, then it is feasible.

Quite risky
If you overheat - it will curl up, if you do not heat it - it will not ferment as it should. There, a specific constant temperature is important. I read that there are such multi, in which there is a "yogurt" mode, but, unfortunately, this is not Yummi.

Answers:
1. 1-2 measuring cups - about half an hour (longer than on the stove).
2. If you adhere to the proportion of cereal-water 1: 2, everything boils perfectly.
3. You can.
4. Timer and Heating are two different things. The timer is a delay in the start of cooking (as you correctly assumed, "I set the time for which it should be ready and it turns on itself at night and prepares for this time"). Preheating is a delay in the end of the heat treatment.

My cartoon is being written off (Yummi-500V), in Kiev I bought it in the "5 star" store. Since the summer, they have been fooling the head of the service, now the service center sends it off for cancellation and the act has been drawn up. It turns out that the act has a limited validity period. But this is a big secret for the buyer! They told me that you can replace the product, or you can take the money.
Tell me, who knows, can I take Panasonic-18 from them instead? Confidence in Yummi was finally shaken.

Something Temka died out, probably because of negative statements about quality. I personally have been using the Yummy YMC-500 for a year now, and use it very actively. No complaints !!!!! Now I also bought DEX DMC-50 because one multi is not enough for me.
DEX with its programs is perfectly complemented by Yummy.Satisfied immensely!

Hello! Take a newbie! Yesterday my Yumka finally arrived - a round one with flowers. I traveled for a long time from another country. Now I'm starting to deal with it and there are a lot of questions. I will be very glad to receive answers or send pliz where to read.
1. I started to try it - I made rice and couscous with vegetables, it turned out delicious. Out of habit, I added a little vegetable oil - was it possible without it? Wouldn't it be too dry?

2. Then I made chicken for stewing - I added soy sauce and a little white wine and dried fruits - it turned out well, but too much liquid - the chicken seemed to be boiling in all this - but I wanted to bake it. Did you need to set the baking mode? I did stew for 90 minutes and then bake 20 more - but still a lot of liquid came out. Or was it just a little time?

3. In which modes can you open the lid and in which not? As I understand it, the program cannot be reset in the porridge mode. And in what mode can you fry onions, for example, for the same porridge? Baking with an open lid and then put rice and water and porridge on the mode?

4. After the porridge mode, it automatically turns on for heating. What if I don't need it? Disable only with handles?

5. I made corn porridge in the morning with milk on the porridge mode - it turned out well, but the porridge burned a little with an even layer along the bottom and turned brown. Was it necessary to have a different regime? Or maybe this is due to the fact that after the porridge mode, the heating turned on for half an hour?
I took a recipe for Panasonic there is a separate program for milk porridge - I don't have it - maybe because of this?

6. Regarding steaming - is it just plastic that bothers me so much? As far as I read wherever it is possible to cook in plastic it is very, very not useful. Moreover, to heat it up - it releases some kind of chemistry there. Well, besides that, it has a container with rather large holes. Can I put some other utensils in there instead of this plastic thing for steam cooking?

7. What to do with the valve? Somewhere in the recipes I read that it can and should be opened sometimes and sometimes closed - is it for this model or for some others?

8. The cover can be removed from it or can it be wiped with a cloth only, but can it be washed in any way?

9. If you do together for example chicken or meat with potatoes or other vegetables - then meat usually takes longer to cook than vegetables - what is the best way to do it - put the meat to stew then add vegetables? Or throw it all at once?

Here. I think there will be more questions. I would be very glad to receive your answers.
Agata21
1 You can add oil or not, it's a matter of taste, try it at random.
2 If you want baked chicken, add baked goods. My favorite way is to sprinkle the meat with spices, if there is no time, then you can directly from the freezer, put it in a cartoon, put the baking for 40 minutes, turn it over on the other side after 20 minutes. After the signal, everything is ready! This is how I most often cook the wings and thighs.
3 You can open the lid in all modes, except for porridge. I fry the onions and carrots in a baking dish with the lid closed. We put on 20min, add 1h. l rast. oils, vegetables. stir after 10 minutes. And then we cook as you expect.
4 Handles only!
5 Boil milk porridge on the simmer, and then reheat.
6 In my opinion there is high-quality plastic, there was no smell even during the first use. And, as for the other stand, the most important thing is not to scratch the saucepan, but you can put it on.
7 This is in other models.
8 With a rag!
9 Cook it all at once! I cook Ukrainian borscht, for example, like this: we cut onions, carrots, beets, potatoes, cabbage on a Berner grater directly into a saucepan, add chopped meat, pour boiling water, add tomato, spices, salt, taste, and stew for 1 hour. Very convenient to cook. If you leave or go to bed, then put the stewing on for 0.5 hour, and then let yourself stand on the heating and languish until you come.

Has anyone tried to cook jellied meat in our cartoon?
Please share your opinion.
I plan to put about 0.5 hours on the "extinguishing" program (before boiling), then switch to "heating".

What percentage that my family will have without jellied meat for the New Year? ..
IRR
nadlen, , I cooked as soon as I received it. Only I cooked all 5 hours on stewing. At first it boiled violently - about 10 minutes, then barely boiled. Poured a swing. But for my family, this is not enough. I will cook this year just in saucepans, I suffer from this - but what can I do? Unsubscribe pzhl. how is it heated
Agata21
The family will be with jellied meat, do not worry. Put on soup or potatoes, bring to a boil, salt, drop carrots and onions, stew for half an hour, reheat 12. Happy New Year!
nadlen
IRR, Agata21, thank you so much for your participation.
I will definitely try to unsubscribe about the results.
Agata21, I expected something like that, only less in time.

IRR, and the jellied meat did not become cloudy when stewing?

RS For my family, this amount of jellied meat is also not enough, but such a wild lack of time pushes me to experiment. .. promised jellied meat for Christmas too ...

Considering that the costs of time and participation in the process are minimal, then you can cook aspic at least every day. Therefore, I am not confused by the small amount.

No, I didn't. I remember it was delicious. He boiled actively for the first minutes, then minimally.

Agata21, IRR I report on the experiment with the code name "jellied meat":
There were 2 chicken legs, 1 chicken. fillet and about 0.5 kg of chickens. paws. First, I brought them to a boil on gas, drained the water, and then put them into a cartoon and turned them on at night. Did almost everything on the advice Agata21 , everything was wonderful (if you do not take into account that I had difficulty sleeping that night) I had the jellied meat heated for about 9 hours. The broth is transparent, the meat is soft, as it should be, but undigested, and then I was scared, and suddenly it would not freeze .. I decided not to risk it and added a small bag (15 grams, I think) of instant gelatin. The jelly froze even too much. Here. Thanks to all . I love my cartoon even more.
Agata21
nadlen, I am glad that everything is working out for you!

Hello everybody! Thanks for your discussion of this multi and your feedback. I read your discussions for a long time and chose which one to buy.
I bought this multi cooker, well, what can I say, while using 2 rims, cooking potatoes and heating. The potatoes come out tasty, like in the oven (like roast, and the heating is still heating up normally. I can also say that this model is almost similar to Panas, and nothing worse, and maybe even better. The difference, as I understand it, is in one automatic function and in I chose the cartoon for a long time, and thought which one, there were 3 variants of DEX, Panasonic ... Yummy. I stopped at this one, there were some nuances with Dex. After reading reviews on the Panas forums, it seems like it is good, only there is one but, they have a bad saucepan with a non-stick coating, for the money that they spend, they could have done better. for a couple, and also seems to be not bad for that kind of money. ”And there people know who they need.
Yumi is small and compact, convenient menu and nothing superfluous, easy to operate, as they say, the simpler the better. The only thing that confuses is that it is not written anywhere in the instructions and on the box its power. The sites say 900 W, but I cannot confirm or deny this. I do not know its real power. Well, that's all, and then decide who wants to spend how much money and for what purposes you will use it. But I advise, although my electric stove is good and the microwave has 3 functions (convection, waves, grill.)
oleg1980
Girls write more recipes, and who has tried what. Who tried the porridge regime. I don’t understand how it works, time is not pushed out there, but only automatically programmed. The instructions say that the default time there is from 30 to 50 minutes. just not how I don’t understand how it automatically regulates how much time is needed.
Thank you girls for answering and using multi.

oleg1980, Congratulations ! Is your model B or J? The power is something 850 - 900, but it does not press so all the time, the current at the highest prog, somehow steaming, and then there is a thermostat that regulates the temperature. You will also soon appreciate - a removable lid, this is how you start to cook porridge, and they will spit it up for you, Duc, take it off and wash it - it's very convenient - neither in Dex, nor in Panasonic, there is no such thing, only in Prefez - it’s in one model 57. All recipes are suitable for all multicooker, so take any and use. For cereals - this is the only program where time is not set - the principle - there is water - it works, no - it turns off. This is if you need pilaf or * dry * porridge. If you want to smudge or with gravy, then there is a stewing program. Here everything just - poured water into cereals in proportion (for each porridge its own, but usually 1 to 2) and put it on stewing, and the time - experimentally - for 20-30 minutes - opened the lid, tried it - and everything is clear. Ask if anything

Thank you! I have B, round. The lid cannot be removed, but it is easy to clean, there is a smooth surface like that of Panas, I think there are no particular problems to wash. Round Yumi is almost the same as a diarrhea, but probably a saucepan is better here than a Panasonic one.
Regarding Perfeza, to be honest, it depends on what and what functions are needed, like it is nothing, only there are no baked goods.
As for the power, I understand that, I just am surprised that what power of the device is not written in the instructions and on the multi itself. No technical documentation. Power 900 W, it is written only on the sites and that's it. As for the service, in Kiev these are the same services as for Panas, Dex and all the other devices, probably.

1.8 liters of dry rice is 10 cups of 180 ml each (a glass is included with each rice cooker). When cooked, you will receive 20 cups of cooked rice.
