Light cabbage soup from sauerkraut and champignons

Ingredients

Sauerkraut 200 g
Potatoes 2-3 pcs
Carrot 1 PC
Onions (medium size) 1/2 pc
Fresh or frozen tomato 1 PC
Champignon 2-3 pcs
Spices: Savory, bay leaf, salt, fresh garlic Taste
Water
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • Light cabbage soup from sauerkraut and champignons
  • Pour some vegetable oil into the saucepan where you will cook the cabbage soup, heat and fry the chopped onions and carrots. Add the chopped mushrooms, fry a little and add the chopped tomato, after removing the skin. I had it frozen. Stir, add savory and garlic. While lightly browning, cut the potatoes. Add sauerkraut and potatoes to a saucepan. Stir and leave to simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add water, bay leaves, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for about an hour. Add salt if required.

Our family loves cabbage soup, even more than borscht. And if after the festive table there are spare parts from a duck or any other bird, then this broth is even tastier.
