Solka shortbread cookies

Ingredients

margarine 240 g
mayonnaise 2 tbsp
eggs 2 pcs
baking powder 1 tsp
flour 450gr
for sprinkling
salt 1 tsp
sesame and poppy seeds 2 tbsp

Cooking method

  • The first step is to make the dough. Grind the margarine and flour into crumbs (I did it with the help of a food processor), add baking powder there, mix the eggs with mayonnaise and pour into a loose mass. Knead the dough and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Then we roll out a layer 2-3 mm thick, sprinkle the poppy seeds with salt and sesame seeds on the dough sheet and once again go through the rolling pin so that the sprinkling sticks well. Long flagella mode.
  • We bake at 200 C for 15 minutes, until golden brown.

Note

The cookies are tasty, free-flowing and despite the salt that is sprinkled and not added, the dough is not salty. It is better to use coarse sea salt.
