Whole Prune Jam with Almond Pits

Ingredients
Prunes 1.5 kg
Almonds about 100 g (100 nuts)
Sugar 1 kg
Citric acid 1 tsp
Vanillin (optional) to taste

I warn you, jam is cumbersome and time consuming. But the result is worth it! Amazing jam.
Plums need dense, not yet fully ripe, but so that the stone is still separated. It may not be a prune, but, say, a Hungarian.
Soak almonds in boiling water, cool, peel.
Remove seeds from the plums. It is convenient to do this with a chopstick of a suitable diameter - for example, a Chinese one for food or a wooden skewer for an airfryer. Or any other stick thinner than a pencil. Press carefully where the "tail" of the plum is torn off, then the bone will gently come out through the neat hole opposite. Instead, insert an almond kernel into the plum through this hole. It is clear that there should be as many such kernels as plums. Cover with sugar and leave for a day.
Then bring the jam to a boil over low heat - do not stir! Put to infuse - without a lid, but under a wire mesh or cloth.
Repeat this in the morning for exactly 5 days !! Or more, if you want it thicker ...
On the sixth day, boil the jam to your favorite thickness, add citric acid, vanillin and roll up hot in steamed jars.

Thanks for the praise, Merri! My curiosity, as always, won the battle against laziness. But the jam has already been opened; I repeat - an amazing jam! The smell of almonds, the density is so imposing ... And next year I will not be lazy - I will cook this, since there are always a lot of prunes.
