You can already conclusions to do according to the test results of the new compressor ice cream Talent Gelato & Sorbet... I will repeat my first review here and supplement it with details from the experience of operating the device.
This model made in Italy by the Italian company Nemox International.
This ice cream maker is on the market in Russia in three colors: pink, yellow and white. In all three versions, the engine block is black.
Inside the box, the device is packed in corrugated cardboard.
IN complete set includes: the device itself with a motor unit, a lid, a stirrer, a removable bucket, a measuring cup for saline solution (poured into the main tank when using a removable bucket), a plastic ice cream spatula (I never used it, I used a silicone one), instructions, a guarantee.
Instructions consists of three spreads, which describe the basic rules for using the device and its structure, and three pages with recipes for ice cream, ice cream and sorbetto.
The dimensions of the device are not large for compressor ice cream makers: width 36cm x depth 30cm x height 28cm (including the motor unit). Net weight 10 kg.
The ice cream maker is calculated for 1.4 liters of ice cream (the total volume of the bucket / tank is 1.5 liters). To bookmark products can be used no more than 800 gr., since the mixture increases in volume during cooling. I put in a maximum of 800-900 ml. The closer to 900 ml, the greater the chance that ice cream will start to go beyond the bucket when freezing. Therefore, it is better not to exceed this norm.
On the instrument case only one button is a button on / off compressor... There is a LED next to it, it lights up red if the compressor is on. Another button is located on the engine block... She is responsible for scapula rotation... So these two functions not dependent from each other - you can turn on / off the compressor (cooling) and turn on / off the vane rotation... This is convenient when you need to turn off the stirrer and cool the contents of the bucket a little more. Or, if you want to cool the contents of the tank / bucket without turning on the stirrer (for example, a bottle of wine).
The motor unit has a separate plug. It can and should be connected only (!) To the body of the device itself, for this there is a special socket.
The lid of the ice cream maker has a hole for pouring the mixture, adding additives in the process of making ice cream. Somehow I never fell asleep additives in the process of making ice cream, but I used this window several times to pour the mixture. The window is quite large, but it is still better to use a container with a spoutto gently pour the mixture into the bucket, otherwise you may miss.
The cover and the motor block are connected with latches. Further, a blade is installed in the motor unit. And this whole structure is installed on the body of the ice cream maker, secured by turning it clockwise. In this case, the cover fits into the grooves of the body, and the motor unit is fixed with a latch. To open the ice cream maker, you must press the locking button on the housing next to the motor unit and turn the motor unit counterclockwise. To detach the cover and the motor unit, you need to move the lever on the motor unit and the cover can be easily removed.
To be honest, I didn't always have to completely disassemble this design. Of course, I always disconnected the stirrer to clean it up. But the soap lid is not every time, but only if ice cream or a mixture gets on it. So that, it is not at all necessary to disassemble / assemble everything completely every time.
Since the paddle is mounted on top, you can use both the built-in tank and the removable bucket for making ice cream. The tank is made of food grade stainless steel, the removable bucket is made of aluminum. They have a recess in the bottom, where the blade is inserted with the protrusion. Yes, the built-in tank will not be easy to clean after making ice cream in it. Therefore, I would not cook in it. Although there is a video on the official nemox website (I posted it earlier) where ice cream is prepared in the built-in tank. But it is better to use it to cool non-staining contents (as I said above, bottles of wine, for example, or a small container for whipping, etc.)
The blade has two zones of rotation - external and internal. The scapula is plastic, quite mobile. Mixes well... Ice cream, even without sugar and fat, did not contain ice at the end of its preparation. The scapula is easy to clean (practically under running hot water, if the ice cream did not contain fats), nothing to pick out and clean out anywhere.
If a removable bucket is used, then 25 ml of alcohol is poured into the main tank (the manufacturer recommends an alcohol-containing solution for protection against corrosion) or saline solution for better cold conductivity... A 25 ml measuring cup is installed in the body of the ice cream maker next to the compressor start button. Here I still have a question ... According to the instructions, it is necessary to fill in 25 ml of alcohol / solution, but in all videos on the nemox website, two caps are poured into the tank (it does not seem that they are 10 ml each). And it seems to me that the volume (40-50 ml) is just such that the liquid wraps around the bucket from the outside almost completely. And if only 25 ml, then the liquid rises between the walls of the tank and the bucket only half. If you prepare half a portion (up to 500-600 ml) of the mixture, then this is generally enough.
Chill for at least 5 minutes before placing food in the ice cream maker.... To do this, you need to completely assemble the device and turn on the compressor. After cooling, you can pour the mixture through the hole in the lid. Or remove the lid and pour the mixture, and then reassemble the device (connect the blade to the motor block and fix the lid). But it is better (especially if the mixture is thick) first turn on the mixer by pressing the button of the motor unit, and pour the mixture through the hole in the lid - this way the motor unit experiences less stress when switched on.
I tried a couple of times to pour the mixture directly into the bucket, removing the lid from it. So, of course, it is more convenient than through the lid window. I can say that I did not notice a significant difference for the motor. That's where I noticed the difference, so this is when the engine is idling, that is, without any mixture at all - the sounds are not the most pleasant for perception. So I for myself, I came to the conclusion that I will either pour the mixture directly into the bucket (by the way, this is how it is shown in all videos on the nemox website), or first pour the mixture a little through the window, and only then turn on the mixer.
And, of course, The general rule for all compressor devices is to leave them on a horizontal surface for several hours after transportation (at least 4, preferably overnight). And only then plug it into the network.
My impressions from the ice cream maker are no different from the first, and they overwhelmingly positive... It is well assembled, well built, not bulky, not very heavy (for such devices). In business, the ice cream maker proved to be excellent - never not a single crystal appeared, no matter what ice cream was, whether it be gelato or sorbetto, ice cream with heavy cream or no fat or animal products at all, and even no sugar. AND I really like that there are two separate on / off buttons for the compressor and the agitator... The only thing missing is a timer, and not even to turn off the ice cream maker - this is not necessary - it is better to control the state of the ice cream, but to count the elapsed time, so as not to forget about the switched on device, so that there is a signal reminding after a set time: “ ice cream is still making, have you forgotten? ” These are all, of course, little things and even humor. In general, I can say that the device made me happy, and the ice cream prepared in it delighted my family, which made me doubly happy.
