Saxon Meat with Mustard (Saechsisches Senffleisch)

Ingredients

goulash 1000 g
bulb onions 300 g
Pumpernickel (rye bread can be) 2 slices
fresh cucumber 1 PC
ghee 2 tbsp. l
hot mustard 2 tbsp. l
caraway 0.5 tsp
carnation 4 things
salt pepper

Cooking method

  • Saxon meat with mustard is perfect for Sunday lunch.
  • Melt butter in a brazier and fry the meat.
  • Chop the onion, add to the meat and fry quickly. Add salt and pepper.
  • Pour in 750 ml of water, add cumin and cloves, cover and simmer for 90 minutes.
  • Peel the cucumber, cut into cubes. Crumble the bread.
  • Add cucumber, bread, mustard to the meat and simmer everything together for another 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve with herbs, boiled potatoes and beer.
