Sicilian morning cocktail

Ingredients

For 2 servings:
Rooibos tea 5 g
Freshly squeezed lemon juice (or orange) 30 ml (50 ml)
Orange 1 PC.
Sugar syrup * 30 g
Ice

Cooking method

  • Brew 5 grams of rooibos tea with 500 ml of hot water, leave and cool.
  • Wash the orange thoroughly and cut into half rings.
  • Fill a ~ 400 ml glass with ice to 1 / 3-1 / 2 of its volume.
  • Pour in the sugar syrup, lemon or orange ** juice.
  • Add orange slices.

  • Fill a glass with iced rooibos tea. Serve a glass with a cocktail tube.

Note

* Sugar syrup can be made with a recipe Sugar syrup for cocktails
** With lemon juice, the cocktail is more aromatic. Orange is sweeter. Try both.
For an even more refreshing effect (especially in hot weather) I recommend using all ingredients from the refrigerator!
