For a week of using the Brand 3811 ice cream maker, I can draw the following conclusions:
First, I want to say that
ice cream maker and handcrafted differ in favor of the ice cream maker - it
tenderer... So, for myself, I made a discovery - such a device as
freezer, very much
necessary on the farm... And Brand 3811 is also a compressor ice cream maker - there is no need to first freeze the bowl for several hours as in non-compressor models,
it is possible to prepare several ice creams at once with an interval of 10 minutes, which is impossible to achieve in semiautomatic machines (with a thawed bowl, the ice cream will no longer freeze).
Question
prices very relative. It depends on what to compare with. If with semiautomatic devices, then, of course, a freezer is not a cheap pleasure. But if we compare with analogues (i.e. automatic machines), then the price for Brand 3811
very democratic, although, of course, such a device is not available to everyone (nevertheless, it is not an essential item in the house, but a very handy little thing).
So, more details about Brand 3811 itself. All
the device performs the declared functions - mixes and freezes ice cream perfectly. I have never observed any crystals in ice cream. Ice cream can be chilled to the extent that it is convenient for storage in the freezer or for serving directly. The final temperature (5 minutes after stopping the scapula, without additional freezing) of ice cream on average during my tests of Brand 3811 was -21 ° С -24 ° С (for my personal preferences this is even a lot, after I melted the ice cream).
Bowl volume 1 liter convenient for a family of 3-4 people (if we consider ice cream from 200 ml of the mixture as one serving), to enjoy ice cream one portion at a time (and if from 2 people, then two portions). If you prepare ice cream in the hot summer period, then the ice cream maker will have to work repeatedly. But in that I find the advantage of such a volume -
you can make several types of ice cream, and everyone can choosethat he likes.
Window-tray for additives... I used nuts, chocolate and liquid ingredients as additives. This is very convenient for making ice cream with additives. The only inconvenience is the location of this window-tray at Brand 3811. It would be much more convenient if it were located on the right hand, not on the left. Although, of course, you can adapt to this.
What me
alarmed in the work of the Brand 3811 ice cream maker, so this
"Torment" the motor before turning it off, when the frozen mass is thick enough and its mixing is very difficult. At this moment, the motor unit swayed, bounced slightly, even some clicks were heard inside the motor unit, as if plastic gears were slipping. Yes, I understand that at the right moment the motor protection is triggered, it turns off, and the rotation of the blade stops. But those 3-5 minutes before turning off each time cause me fears for the fate of my assistant (will there be premature wear of the plastic parts of the motor unit due to such loads (this despite the fact that I did not prepare ice cream more than 600 ml of the mixture) ?). Somehow I turned out to be mentally unprepared for this. And once more, the rotation of the scapula began not immediately after switching on, but after a minute, which also made me worry.
What else causes my concern is
arrangement of contacts of the motor block in the working area (you can inadvertently spill something * T-T-T * there). I don't know if they have any kind of protection ... but, perhaps, it makes sense to use some kind of additional casing, a cover for these contacts during the period when the motor unit is removed.
Generally,
I am very happy with the ice cream maker! Making ice cream in a freezer is not only
conveniently, but also
fascinatingly, which gives rise to a sea of ideas and ice cream recipes. The only thing I just have to warn new users of the Brand 3811 ice cream maker about is take care of your throat! Because ice cream is eaten in incredible quantities.
The biggest advantage of homemade ice cream, in my opinion, is that
we always know its exact composition... without any dyes or improvers.And making ice cream in a compressor ice cream maker is very
comfortable, pleasant, and very inspiring (I want to cook over and over again).
And now according to the instructions ...
P. 6 instructions: “Close the bowl with the plastic lid (7), and turn it clockwise until it clicks into the closed position”. I do not know if this is just my specimen, but there is no click, only the last couple of millimeters a tighter rotation. So this is more of a rotation until it stops, and not until it clicks. Well, and the “closed” position ... I may not have considered it, or in my copy it is not expressed, but there is no clearly fixed “closed” position, there are only “open” <–> “closed” icons for the direction of rotation of the lid.
P. 6 instructions: “The interval of possible settings is from 10 to 60 minutes”. Perhaps I'm finding fault, but it is more likely from 60 to 10 minutes, since the time is scrolled in the opposite direction.
P. 7 instructions: “At any time you can stop the cooking process by pressing the“ Start / Stop ”button”. The button must not only be pressed, but held for several seconds.
P. 7 instructions: “… so as not to damage the inner lining of the bowl”. So there is no coverage. Aluminum bowl. Of course, the bowl can be damaged (it is a very soft metal), but there is no coating in the bowl as they used to perceive it (non-stick, for example).
P. 7 instructions: "It is recommended to store homemade ice cream no more than 2-3 weeks." It is not very clear how this is explained. What will happen to him in the freezer at -20 ° С -30 ° С?
And also in terms of equipment ... Honestly, I don't really understand why there is such a small measuring cup (160 ml) in the kit. Such ones are convenient for multicooker (for cereals, flour, etc.), and for ice cream ... I always used a glass of 0.7 liters, and if you prepare ice cream for the full volume of a bucket, then a liter is better.
