Your Canon PIXMA MP 160 contains combined cartridges (head + tank) CL-41, CL-51 High Yield, PG-40, PG-50 High Yield (50 and 51 for your device with increased capacity) when refueling after 2-3 only the head (cartridge + tank) is out of order. After a while, the device will write E8 Waste ink absorber full - The main absorber is ALMOST full, or platen waste ink absorber full - The absorber in the movement area of the carriage is ALMOST full of sweat E27 Waste ink absorber full or platen waste ink absorber full - One of the absorbers is full.
Attention here! You can reset it once, without rinsing the diaper. The second time will not work !!!!
What is a "diaper" (absorber), I think, there is no need to explain: an article about THIS has long been published in the "Educational program", and whoever wanted to have already read it. I would only like to remind you that when the absorber counter is triggered, the device needs to do maintenance and replace (wash) the absorbent pad (of course, it's up to you to do this or not).
And before resetting, look in the error codes and make sure that the device has a “diaper” and not another error.
You can search for error codes on these StartCopy Codes pages: canon_ink.htm, canon_bjc.htm, canon_mfu.htm, and canon_150.htm.
! To avoid confusion with the buttons: on some printer models, the functions of the buttons Reset absorbers of Canon inkjet printers "Stop / Reset" and Reset pads of Canon inkjet printers "Resume" are combined, and many MFPs have only Stop / Reset. In the description of the reset procedure, “Resume” is indicated everywhere, and if there is actually no such button on the device, press “Stop / Reset”.
