Grill with quartz lamps is an irreplaceable thing with us!
This is a Moscow device of the early 90s and I am terribly afraid for it, because more of these are not produced and there is nothing like this in foreign analogues. Ours has an open space between the baking sheet and the top with lamps, and there is a whole large frying pan. I use not only for kebabs (not mini, quite decent skewers are included), hot multi-layered sandwiches, sausages, wieners, wings and heating pizza, but also for finishing the lush omelets with cheese and potato casserole with meat, started in a frying pan on the stove, pasta casserole with cheese and in general everything that needs to be baked on top with a golden brown crust. It turns out 4 times faster than in the oven, and it is simply impossible to repeat the omelet in the oven or on the stove without a grill!
There is also a toaster separately, like a sandwich maker, these are two different entertainments, hot ruddy triangles sealed around the edges with cheese and ham for breakfast from a sandwich maker and croutons for soup and a base for ordinary toaster sandwiches for the male and teenage part of the family ...
tamila
I used it for about 8 years. cooked everything. now and do not take it out. unless you bake potatoes or fish.
prismatic
But who has a contact electric grill? Will he be able to make bread slices "like a toaster"?
Alexandra
I also have a Bork contact grill, and a sandwich maker. Of course, if you make toasts in a contact way, they will differ from those that came out of the toaster.
Trendy
I have a Unit toaster oven with top and bottom quartz grills (aka roaster). She is of course small, but I feel like no hands without her. And toast and crackers and hot sandwiches and buns - everything is in it. Has been working like a clock for 6 years, now there are no such ones (with a quartz grill).

And I'm also interested in the usability of the contact grill. Who has to share your impressions.
Alexandra
quartz is better - you don't need to wash it later
natalka
Girls, forgive me, I will mix the topics a little ... Now there are airfills with a quartz heater (the same Unit 912), in this regard, the question arises: how much is a quartz heating element different from an ordinary metal one?
Trendy
Personally, I find a quartz heater or grill to be the best.
Compared to the microwave, the quartz grill heats up faster and the heat from it is different. Maybe because with the light.
And here's what else I read on one site:

The power of a quartz grill is usually less than a grill with heating elements; microwave ovens with a quartz grill use less electricity.

Stoves with a quartz grill grill more gently and evenly, but a grill with heating elements can provide more intensive work (more "aggressive" heating).
I hope that something helped

No, I'm talking about quartz! Suddenly I will see him and do not recognize him !!!
And I saw this one ...
Alexandra
And the quartz grill is not called, but "roaster".

At home you need to take a picture, only he is old and smoky, not washed already, since he has been living with us since the beginning of the 90s
Hairpin
If he was new, I would have found him through a search engine!
Alexandra
Outwardly like this, only in the back there are no holes for toast
the same open, 2 quartz lamps on top. Pallet with lattice. The grid is removable, you can put food directly on the bottom of the pallet or string on skewers (included), there are slots in the pallet for them. Includes a 26cm frying pan by volume, brown the top of an omelet or casserole (bottom on the stove)

Is he Soviet? And then I saw similar units in stores, and decided that if there is a microwave, then they are no longer needed.
Did I understand correctly that with a similar design, there can be heating elements and quartz on top? And is it better to look with quartz?
Well, my guess. Glows with quartz, but not with heating elements?

Why clean up? Everyone is interested ...

Let's leave ...
Alexandra
He is 1993, the same age as my son. Moscow plant of some electrical appliances.
I have not seen such in stores for many, many years, maybe I did not pay attention.

He is already a veteran and disabled, instead of the on / off button, the hole is empty, we have been turning it on with 3 wires directly into the socket for a year now.

Why leave him? All the same, these are no longer on sale.

There are no tens there. Above, in two glass tubes - quartz lamps - filaments, a reflector in the lid - a sheet of aluminum bent by an arch.

Please write what is the best way to make a steak in it? or tastier in a grill pan? For a couple of months now I have been struggling with myself, I want to kill something like yours, but I'm afraid that it will lie idle. (steaks in a frying pan are a common dish for us, but I don't like that fat splashes all over the place).
Alexandra
GalinkaMalinka ,

Fat splashes - it's half the trouble. You can buy a round grid like a lid for a frying pan, and all the fat will remain on it. But to wash this bandura and the pan, where all this fat flows ... and you can't put the bandura in the PMM, only the frying surface can be wiped, and the rest is afraid of water.

And for my taste - it turns out about the same. On the grill, only more in quantity can be cooked at a time
Galinka-Malinka
Alexandra Thanks. I bought the mesh and use it, but all the same, the tiles are all splattered. but PMM I have no unfulfilled dream of the mistress. And you have a frying panel, as I understand it, is not removable? I am in the net where some Kenwood models are removed.
Alexandra
GalinkaMalinka , in mine is not removed. There is a rather bulky bottom pan, for drainage of fat - it is removable. But it also pours past the pallet.

In general, I bought in a fit of slimming activity, to make vegetables and grilled fish without oil. Well, at the same time all sorts of goodies for the family. Not a bad thing, I will not scold. But having a grill pan, a roaster, a toaster with 3 removable panels (including a grill), 2 multicooker and an excellent oven - to be honest, it's too lazy to take out such a bulky item from the closet and then wash it. At first I used it often - but now it has cooled down. I rarely use it.

Wash it off, even though it has a non-stick coating.
In addition, the pressed meat on both sides did not really impress me, it somehow turns out steamed, I don't know, maybe someone likes it.
And if you fry on one side - and a grill pans with your head will be enough.
Only potato pancakes worked well on it, but we rarely want them.

In my contact on the reverse side, palasteins have molds for thick waffles - yes, waffles, they bake quickly and efficiently.

Here is my:

julifera, I would answer with these words, both about the grill pan, and about the waffle iron with a replaceable socket

But if I have an airfryer, I have doubts ... Will the oil be oily?

Removable panels are great, but I don’t know, well, I don’t see anything tasty in it that the airfryer would not do ...

And if the dishwasher solves the problems with washing, then the space he needs in the apartment will simply be a pity, because he is not small.
Schapirinka
Thank you! I will think about it, but I will probably abstain for now.
Claire
Can I put in my five cents too? :) I have both an airfryer and a contact. Yes, I use a contact grill less often, but! It turned out to be quite amusing to put it on the table when friends came to visit, and grill it right there and take it hot on plates. You can't put an airfryer like that. And when they took them on vacation - he had no price! We bought fresh sea red fish and poured it on the balcony, without smoke, cleanly. To say that it was delicious is to say nothing. We still remember with friends. He helps us out even when everything is ready for the grill - and suddenly the weather spoiled. Then we sit comfortably at home around the electric grill and have a delicious lunch under the sound of the rain! So I do not regret that I bought it in due time!
Caprice
Why can't you put the airfryer like this? It's glass, transparent. Such a fascinating sight, sitting with friends at a large table, talking, watching the meat blush
Claire
Very large compared to the contact, it takes up a lot of space on the table. And noisy with its own fan. And in order to lift the lid, someone has to get up - most likely, the hostess. The contact is smaller and "more mobile". And yet I like the meat from it more - it is juicier. You just need to let the first juice / and fat / drain / I have a grill specially made with a slope and there are plastic narrow trays to substitute / and wait until it is fried.

In the AG, the fat itself flows down. And if you reduce the ventilation, the meat is juicier and the noise is less.

Do you think such devices are disposable? Severin RG - 2619 and 2341? Maybe a grill + crepe maker from Tefal will be more reliable, do you think?

In my opinion, only Doplet has practical experience. The best of it, no one will tell you about the reality of use.

No, the device is not disposable. The action for baking pancakes in it may turn out to be one-time. It just did not seem convenient to me to regularly bake pancakes in such a device. To be honest, I am very skeptical about pancakes too, I prefer to bake pancakes in a good frying pan.
As for the "disposability" of the device itself - here everyone decides for himself. If your family often practices raclette gatherings with friends, then, of course, it makes sense to buy this unit. Gathering with a raclette girl is a kind of ritual. At any other time, such a unit is quite easy to replace with other home devices, often even more convenient. If you are not fond of this activity, then decide for yourself how much you need it on the farm.

galinanka, sorry for the delay in answering, it's my second day at the dacha, I don't open the laptop often. lega right, this is Rowenta, and you are unlikely to find it, it was bought oh-oh-very long ago, in the year 94th. I bought my grill by accident. I saw the price tag = 1600r in the store, and realized that something was wrong ... I went to the competitors, compared the prices))) 4500 and 1600 are not twins at all))
At first I used it often, then apparently I was "tired")))) Now sometimes I take off from the fridge so that girls can get sandwiches for breakfast ...
Now I read it, I decided to try frying waffles, like Viennese ...
