I made an omelet like this. Melted a little butter, three eggs and 1/3 of the milk. I poured it out, turned on the cook, when it turned off without opening it, held it on warm for 15 minutes and that's it! It turned out very nicely.

in general, I don't know what to do ... 2 times the rice turned out to be perfectly cooked, the rest of the times it was boiled ... I went into a pie for a dear soul, but as a side dish such rice is not very ... but! I tried to make pilaf. I fried the meat onions and carrots in a skillet, added them to the rice cooker, added rice and water and left ... after switching it stood for 10 minutes and it turned out very tasty!

I did not make cutlets, and omelet - only in a rice cooker. It turns out so airy when it is still heated.
The fact that the rice is boiling is probably not the fault of the rice cooker. Maybe this is the kind of rice, you need to adjust the amount of water. Now, if it was constantly burning, then it's understandable.

Has anyone used the simplest 1-program rice cookers with uncoated aluminum bowls? I can't read the whole topic now, but I can't stand it. I plan to buy it in Thailand, they cost 265 rubles there. Last year I bought Panas there for 2090 from English. buttons, but was exactly the same, but with Thai for 1400r.

Anya! Look here.

I have the same, only a Teflon bowl, I cook everything. For that kind of money, take, of course, you will cook side dishes. If the opportunity presents itself, choose with an additional button - porridge- it's soup, rice water. This button is stewing and it is best in such rice cookers. (there will also be buttons juice prepare, varm - heating)

I'll come and take a look around. But since last year I remember that there was only on-off for that kind of money. But, we can, for a year and something new has appeared.

yes, yes, yes ... in these with a glass lid, I did not see extinguishing. They have one konopka, cooks right and off. But in these it may already be, take a closer look there. They may be a little more expensive, but what they extinguish is priceless.

Well, if the program is so arranged that you can put it out on it, so why not put it out

Hello everyone!
Two days since I got myself a rice cooker, the simplest one, with one button and a glass lid, I read this temka from start to finish, the information that everyone here generously shared, thanks a lot!
Prepared "Very simple honey cake" according to the recipe ang-kay, cottage cheese casserole, apple pie, millet porridge with pumpkin in baked milk, rice.
🔗 🔗 🔗
The apple pie turned out not very successful (but quite edible), apparently the recipe was not the most suitable, everything else was very well prepared. The rice cooker fries a little from the bottom, but not too much, when I was cooking rice, I specially put onions and carrots on the bottom, they were browned, it turned out just what I needed. I think pilaf should be successful in this saucepan according to the same principle, put the meat with onions and carrots on the bottom, they will be fried until golden brown just at the end of cooking.
Lud-Mil @
Ira, I myself am delighted with the rice, it turned out great, and when ready it is exactly as it should be, hard, but boiled.
I turned the casserole on cook, the rice cooker worked for five minutes in this mode, then switched to warm, after twenty minutes I turned on the cook again (again for five minutes), in total it worked for almost an hour, at the end turned it upside down and turned on the cook one more time for browning.

that's right, that's how it should be fsepute.

Well, as they say, "by your prayers." No wonder you have written thirty pages here about rice cookers and how to cook in them, I have studied everything from cover to cover, in fact, this prompted me to buy a rice cooker, so I would not have guessed what it turns out to be a good thing, and what not only rice can be cooked in it.

Millet porridge with pumpkin in baked milk from the Alpina rice cooker.

I continue to play with the rice cooker, sneaked into experiments with baking. Yesterday I "composed" a cheesecake with apples.
🔗
And today I treat you to pizza.

It was not at all in vain to buy such a simple device, but skillful, I use it every day. Alpina fried potatoes yesterday. I switched on the cook, then for 10-15 minutes warm, mixed it, repeated the previous manipulations again, and one more switch on cook.
🔗 🔗

Prepared today pasta for garnish to chicken wings... At the bottom of the bowl, literally a drop of vegetable oil, put onions and carrots, poured pasta on top, poured boiling water from a teapot so as only to cover the pasta, even the tips stick out a little.
🔗
I turned it on on the cook, after turning it off I put a piece of butter, mixed it, sprinkled it with grated cheese on top, stood in warm for 5-10 minutes.

I continue to bake in the rice cooker. Cottage cheese casserole with banana.

Hello girls. I'm new here. My husband gave the cartoon Phillips 3025/3. Upset at first. then I read that you cook everything in it and unpacked it. I looked for half a day and decided to try. From the simplest. Poured pasta, salt, seasoning, tomato paste. I filled it with water. And I wondered what mode to set. There are only two of them. Rice and porridge! I chose porridge. It did not wait until it turns off. An hour later I opened it and was not mistaken! The water has evaporated. Beautiful, soft, delicious! The beauty! I want to ask you, how can these two modes be adapted for cooking everything else? For example an omelet, cutlets or steamed vegetables, manti? How long does the porridge regime last, and how much pilaf?

olga375,

RIS mode - automatic - while there is water, it cooks (it boils quite strongly). When the water has boiled away, it turns off.
Porridge mode- it is a stewing, a slow boil. Until you turn it off yourself, it will cook.

Fry frying, and cutlets and chicken and whatever you want, you can use rice in the mode, it can periodically turn off and go into heating, but not for long, then turn it on again. And all the baked goods are also on it, the same algorithm (turned off, waited, turned on again)

Borscht can be cooked backwards. First, fry everything on rice mode, then add water, put meat, potatoes, cabbage and porridge mode. It will be ready, turn it off yourself. you can open the lid, stir and try in any mode and at any time. Only replace the spatula with a silicone one, and do not use your own one, it scratches the saucepan.

Cook all milk porridge on the porridge program. the first time to watch how the milk will behave (it should not run away). If everything is OK, then you can no longer stand over it. I poured cereals, poured milk, pressed the Porridge button and walk. An hour later (approximately, depending on what kind of cereal) came, turned it off.
olga375
Clear. But if you cook pilaf in the rice mode, the water will evaporate and the heating mode is turned on, as I understand it, and how long should it be kept on it? I go and eat pasta from time to time! Now I understand why this technique is praised - the taste is extraordinary!

Not at all. Turned off and you can. Heating for pilaf and rice is just not very desirable - it dries up a little (but not for an amateur, for someone and nra). It is not critical, especially if you were not at home, then hey is worth what he will have ... but in general the most delicious pilaf and rice - when the machine turned off, you immediately mixed it and left it to ripen for 15 minutes. Oh then power! and it will move away from the bottom if it is slightly welded during the cooking process.

Olya! you write to us how you do it, because MV with such saucepans (gold) is in Ukrainian. the market is only Phillips so far and it is very interesting in this regard, how the coating of the pan behaves - in terms of whether it sticks to it, how it washes, etc. By the way, if you have a dishwasher and you wash with gel, not powder and tablets, then the pan can be washed in PMM.
olga375
Thank you. Good. They gave me valuable advice not to interfere with those in the package. There the spatula and spoon are plastic. While I'm stirring with a wooden spatula. And my manual everything
Lud-Mil @
olga375, in vain you were upset, the rice cooker is of course a simple device, but very good! I adore mine, she works for me no less, and sometimes more multi, I even fry potatoes in it, it turns out great. Before the New Year, a friend visited me for several days, she was very surprised how many different dishes I cook in the rice cooker, she says that she thought that the rice cooker was only for rice, but here every day is different - rice, buckwheat, then potatoes, and that's it. so tasty, I decided that she needed such an assistant. So cook for now with pleasure in your rice cooker, and your husband will give you a cartoon for the next holiday.
By the way, here's my dinner tonight - multi stew and rice topped with a rice cooker.

Good day!
My life ended with the Binaton rice cooker (elementary my husband took the timer for some reason, then somewhere to do, I forgot to pull the cord out of the network) so she was poor for 2 days without a saucepan on a heating and a mustache.

As a result, I was looking for a new rice cooker and found ATLANTA ATH-590, and next to it I looked at the ATLANTA ATH-591 multicooker, the price difference is small.
As a result, I ordered a multicooker. There is rice mode, but it was called buckwheat there (the proportions for buckwheat are different than for rice, I have 1 glass of buckwheat for 2 water)

By the way, can anyone use a 5-liter saucepan from the Binaton rice cooker (1.8 in the description everywhere) was perfect for a multicooker.

Atlant turned out to have the same trouble, you need to turn off the power cord, so I ordered another timer .... I won't give it to anyone else.

While trying to figure out how the programs differ except for the cooking time.

Tell me who can. I re-read the topic and still did not understand: Do I need a separate rice cooker if there is a good slow cooker and I am satisfied with the quality of rice cooking in it? What can a rice cooker offer me that a multicooker clearly cannot?
I just don't understand ... Maybe she needs it separately ...
Sandy
The rice cooker cannot give anything special, it just cooks rice, works as a sensor program in a multicooker, that is, until the liquid boils off (time is not set) and switches to heating
igorechek
Thanks for the answer. Well, it's like in my old 18th Panasonic on Buckwheat mode.

My rice cooker was the very first acquisition ... and everything in it cooked and baked even a normal unit if there was nothing else. And now in it the husband cooks various porridge for himself fishing

The rice cooker is the "mom" and "grandmother" of the multicooker.

It may be necessary for those who do not like or do not communicate well with electronics. For example, I have two simple rice cookers. One was bought at a time when only Panasonic could be bought at an exorbitant price. She worked for me for a long time, and then turned out to be an ambulance for my father when he lived in another apartment. The father simply does not want to learn how to handle any electronics, he is lazy. And when the gas was turned off for several days, it was this very simple rice cooker that helped out a lot. Father does not need more!
The second rice cooker is a baby, designed for one to four multicugs of cereal. I need it to cook just small quantities of side dishes. It makes no sense to take for the sake of such a fully functional, albeit small, multicooker. The rice cooker is more compact, cheaper by itself.

Oh-oh-t! This is a useful idea. Thank you ! Now we will think and look closely.
Lud-Mil @
And I bought my rice cooker last year, having a multicooker - at that moment I already realized that one multicooker was not enough for me, but I was not ready to buy a second one, and then a rice cooker turned up at a very modest price. It turns out excellent pilaf, and just cereals for a side dish, and potatoes fried perfectly, and even played with pastries several times, for some time she worked even more for me than a multicooker. Now I have two multi and I also bought a pressure cooker, but I still love my rice cooker and I'm not going to part with it.
