Girls, thank you, I thought that you were the first to respond, I figured it out, after all, I was right, there is no timer, as the seller claimed, although I think you can do without it
Rina
Nowadays on the rice cooker market: two clathronic models (RK 2925 and RK 3309, but the second happens very sporadically), one comfort, the rest - as luck would have it. They are found in shops / shops of Asian cuisine, but much more expensive than the same clathronic.
They can be called both a multi-cooker (in METRO, both a rice cooker and a slow cooker - both are called multi-cookers), and a double boiler.
As we have repeatedly discussed with Olga-ukka, and as I have already seen from my own experience:
1.A simple rice cooker for two (three) modes almost completely covers daily needs.
2. If you suddenly need a timer with a delay and shutdown, then for simple rice cookers with mechanical control you can buy for less than 100 UAH. mechanical or even electronic timer.
3. A slow cooker is also very, very useful on the farm (I can't imagine how, for example, I would cook baked milk for fermented baked milk without it, even in a slow cooker).
But for daily cooking, a rice cooker is just what you need.
Sandy
I also doubted between Clathronic and Comfort, settled on Comfort, and I do not regret it. Both rice cookers are good.
Unlike Klatronic, Comfort has three programs (after my various experiments: like on fire - strong, medium, and the smallest).
The cover and the valve are removed, which is very convenient when you wash the rice cooker.
I cook, cook and bake everything in it, I always take it to the dacha, replaces the frying pan and the oven and the pan.
It is very convenient that you can simultaneously cook both the side dish and steamed, for example, cutlets, etc.

I will answer bye RybkA sailing - my comfort at the end of September will be a year. And Rybk is 4-5 months less (IMHO). If you delve into this topic, there our correspondence about the choice pops up.

Mine is something like Rybkina, until the lid changes, I cook every day ... almost. Now I will examine and touch after each cooking

Girls, good afternoon.

Can you please tell me if it is possible to use foil when cooking in a rice cooker (biscuit, etc. baking)? (no parchment here).
Thank you so much.

Rina
Why is there parchment or foil in the rice cooker? Biscuits are baked without any parchment, only grease a saucepan with oil, casseroles - butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs or semolina ...
l8atu8
today I baked a biscuit, oiled a saucepan, but everything stuck
Gypsy
Pot with Teflon or uncoated aluminum? Or maybe a stainless steel?

the most cheap plain, uncoated aluminum
Rina
What is the coating in the saucepan? If the rice cooker is not induction, then the foil can be used, only the non-stick coating can still suffer (their quality is very different). As a last resort, if there is no parchment for baking, you can try to find something like good old tracing paper and grease it with oil.

I saw a message that aluminum. You can use the foil almost fearlessly.

l8atu8, You would tell what kind of rice cooker. And then almost everyone has a non-stick coating, so your question surprised me
IRR
Rina? Where are you doing post? I also wonder what kind of rice cooker l8atu8, how much does it cost and how does it look?
l8atu8
sorry for so long, I can't upload a photo, here you are, a link to a photo from net

you will laugh, it costs about 260 rubles.

we only took her to cook rice, but it turns out she is a sorceress ... and only with the help of your forum

Thank you.
Gypsy

Are you talking about a pimp in the middle? She should stick out, when you put the saucepan, then it is pressed.

what do you eat there?

you are welcome,

here they eat rice, scourge packages (noodles), skewers - chicken, pork, beef or fried in oil or on fire, all sorts of fried gravy (I don't know what's in them, it's not impressive, because you can't drink tap water here and sellers will clearly not use clean water for cooking). their cuisine is not varied, and they themselves are very lazy to discover something new for themselves.

here food is very cheap and is sold at every turn. They sell it on top (as we, Russian-speaking, call motobike cafes).

for example, boiled rice costs 5 baht (in my opinion, about 5 rubles), a skewer of meat from 5-10 b., gravy 20 b.

they are weird, everything is put in bags (rice, gravy, drinks, etc.).

they do not use bread; baked goods are scarce and expensive.

did not see that offered grasshoppers, worms and other animals.
l8atu8
eat a lot of spicy food, I think because pepper prevents bacteria from multiplying in the body in such a climate

l8atu8, you have a great opportunity to open a small bakery and enrich yourself on French baguettes. Well, if you have, of course, bread.
l8atu8
I'll go put the dough ...

you also know, they gnaw fruit ice, it's fine and they pour something on it, from coffee (cold) to horrible syrups (for my taste), and such ice is transported in bags like ours from under sugar.

in a word, Thank God that we bought a rice cooker and I found your site.

Cheers!!!!
IRR
l8atu8, thank you - abundance, spices, full of everything incomprehensible, but cool. Only from such vats on the street, I would also IMHO beware of eating.
