Sour cream 220 g
Honey 160 g
Sugar 50 g
Eggs 3 pcs

Cooking method

  • Method number 1 (fast)
  • Grind sour cream with sugar, honey and eggs (I make in a blender). Add flour with baking soda and salt, stir. Furnace at 180about 40 minutes.
  • With this method of kneading the dough, the "roof" comes out with a large dome or bumpy (as in the photo). I cook like that "for my friends" and when I'm not going to sandwich.
  • Method number 2 (beautiful)
  • Grind the sour cream with eggs, sugar and honey, then add soda and salt, mix, wait a few minutes (the soda should start working). Then add flour and additional ingredients. Stir gently and ONLY with a SPOON! No harvesters, mixers, etc. (Tested by experience). The oven is the same.
  • According to the second method, a tall, flat honey cake comes out, which can be cut into 3-5 cakes and layered with any cream to taste.
  • Ingredients for a 23 cm diameter mold.

Recipe from the "guests on the doorstep" category. Very quickly cooked and eaten. At my house they love him just like that - without anything. It is very soft, fluffy and aromatic.
The original recipe from Mom's notebook is called "Nut Cake". It does not include honey and necessarily 300 g of walnuts in quarters. I reworked it for myself and bake it quite often, either just like that, or as a base for a cake.
