Ingredients

oat flakes 140 g
flour 200 g
walnuts 100 g
cocoa powder (I used
freshly ground cocoa beans)
2 tbsp. l.
baking powder 1 tsp
sugar 200 g
butter 160 g
eggs 2 pcs
cinnamon on the tip of a knife
salt pinch

Cooking method

  • 1. Grind the nuts as small as possible in a blender.
  • 2. Mix all dry ingredients - flour, flakes, cocoa, baking powder, salt, nuts, cinnamon.
  • 3. Beat the softened butter with sugar until creamy, add eggs without stopping beating. Combine with a mixture of dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  • 4. Put on a baking sheet covered with baking paper at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other about half a tablespoon of dough and bake in a preheated to 170oFrom the oven 12-15 min.

Natasha, the dough is thick, but not steep (this is with nuts). With a certain skill, balls can be molded from it by wetting your hands with very cold water - the dough is quite fat and the oil "floats" under your hands. So I spread it with a spoon.
The butter and eggs may not have been beaten enough. And perhaps the quality of the flakes "pumped up" - they are visible in the photo. Otherwise, it shouldn't be in the finished cookie.
And the color is so intense - didn't you go too far with cocoa?

Marina, I bake a very similar cookie, the composition is the same (mine lacks only cocoa), the proportions are only slightly different. And this is my favorite oatmeal cookie. It tastes best with walnuts. I also tried with almonds, but not that, walnuts are here - # 1))).
I dare to show what I can do, at the same time I will tell you how I cut them. Very convenient, I spied on this method in one of Martha Stewart's programs, she puts all the cookies on a baking sheet using ice cream spoons... I liked this idea so much that I bought spoons of 3 sizes just in case (though most often I use the smallest one) and now I only dose such baked goods in this way. Yes, I preliminarily grease the spoon with vegetable oil, so nothing sticks to it. Somehow it turns out:
