  • Good day everyone! Thank you for stopping by and I hope that what you read will be useful for those who are going to travel!
  • Last year we planned a trip to Altai (Yarovoe). In total, I had to overcome 6700 km from EUROPE to ASIA and back. It so happened that my mother lives there - we visit her, have not seen each other "live" for 2 years - all on skype. We thought for a long time how we would go and decided that we would go by CAR.
  • The preparation went on for a long time, it took almost a year to prepare. The husband changed the car from a Chevrolet Niva to a Great Wall Safe (the battery in the car is 65). There are many of us - 5 people: two adults and children who are 1, 3 and 11 years old. It is not comfortable to drive in Niva and the trunk is too small, and there are many reasons why we abandoned this car in favor of the Great Wall Safe (I will not describe). We had to travel 3 days and 12 hours from Moscow to Yarovoye and back 3 days and 6 hours.
  • My husband was busy with the car, and I figured out how and what to take on the road and how and where to eat. Since food in road cafes and all sorts of "eateries" did not suit me, I had to solve the problem with food. Time passed, thoughts were in full swing, there were auto kettles and gas. tiles and many other options - in the end we settled on MV Redmond RMC - 01. It is compact and low power - just right for a machine. She had to buy a CONVERTER for 1200 (cost 4 thousand rubles). From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01)
  • We also bought a CAR REFRIGERATOR for 12 Volts (4.2 thousand rubles) and a volume of 28 liters (or 9 bottles for 1.5 liters), the temperature was reduced by 19-23 degrees from the current one, and if with cold accumulators, then the temperature was and 0 gr, and if without them then 5-6 gr.
  • From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01) From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01) From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01)
  • For MV, the converter was purchased, the question remained, what FOOD. I also wanted porridge, soup and dinner. (baked goods were replaced with cookies ...).
  • List of products that I took (maybe I missed something):
  • 1. Buckwheat groats (portioned, as it is not necessary to rinse) - 2 pack (5 sachets). We ate 2 packs at a time.
  • 2. Milk in tetropak 200 ml - 3 pcs (for cereals)
  • 3. Long rice in bags - 1 pack. (used for soup fish and vegetable stew)
  • 4. Pasta - 2 packs of 400 gr (prepared for dinner)
  • 5. Canned white beans - 2 cans (for borscht)
  • 6. Assorted vegetables "Bonduelle" (carrots, peas, beans, beans, cauliflower) - 3 ban. (for fish soup and just eat)
  • 7. Frozen assorted vegetables - 2 packs (for vegetable stew with rice)
  • 8. Turkey meatballs (baby food Semper) 125 gr - 2 cans
  • 9. Canned fish - 2 cans (cans with a key, so as not to bother with opening)
  • 10. Borsch dressing (I did it myself: cabbage, carrots, onions, beets) all this in one tray under the film.
  • 11. Cutlets, pre-fried, placed in a steamer from MV and frozen - eaten in the first 24 hours.
  • 12. Butter "President" 10 g - 1 pack. (20 pcs)
  • 13. Pate in small jars with a key -4 pcs.
  • 14. Sausages, also frozen - 12 pcs
  • 15. Sour cream - 1 ban (only on the first day for borscht)
  • 16. Sauce
  • 17. Mayonnaise
  • 18. Bread
  • 19. Spices, salt, sugar.
  • 20. Tomatoes, cucumbers
  • 21. Processed cheese, regular cheese
  • 22. Yogurt for children and regular
  • 23. All kinds of biscuits, drying, Barney kids….
  • 24. Baby food for babies (cereals in jars and in tetropacks, dry porridge BR, jars with meat food “Babushkino Lukoshko” and Semper, fruit purees in tetropacks.
  • Here is such a MENU (everything was repeated in both directions):
  • one. Breakfast - oatmeal porridge (as practice has shown, you can cook both rice and millet - different cooking)
  • 2. Lunch - soup Borsch, soup from canned fish, vegetable stew and rice and pâté
  • 3. Dinner - cutlets with buckwheat, sausages with buckwheat, horns with sausage.
  • The menu was not varied, as there is no opportunity to “fantasize” on the road. The children all ate what I cooked in the morning and at lunchtime, only the one year old had to be fed in the evenings with the food taken for her, but the average one did not refuse to take part in this. Therefore, when I took DP, I counted on two. (Some of the products remained on the way back, so I bought in addition, only what was missing)
  • I put some products in MV in advance, so for example only to add water or milk, since it rode most of the way on my lap. For example: for porridge - oatmeal, sugar, put butter in advance, and while driving, poured water and milk and immediately turned on; soup - laid everything except water, poured it just before cooking. Spoons from CF lay in the glove compartment, since the porridge had to be stirred after cooking, so that it did not tamp, but remained homogeneous.

  • Dinner (at hotels):
  • From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01) From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01)
  • Now about the main thing - about the work of MB on the way:
  • The multicooker was connected through an extension cord, the voltage during cooking in Motion was kept at 13.1-13.6, depending on the selected function. For example, on MKash it was stable at 13.4-13.6, and on Baby Food it dropped to 13.0 at the beginning of cooking, and then leveled off. The only thing I turned off was when we stopped or drove in a traffic jam, as the voltage dropped to 12.4. There was nothing in the car, nothing sparked! So the head process was continuous from the ride. From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01)
  • And for the crumbs, it was necessary to warm food on a Steam, like yogurt, that curd from the refrigerator, that just burn water for porridge or drink tea. Everything was prepared quickly. 5 minutes and you're done. The food heats up quickly (by the way, it heats up faster than the auto-heater specialized for baby food) and keeps the heat.
  • In the process of cooking I kept it on my knees - not hot, it is convenient to hold it when you cook porridge, but when Soup, you had to put an auto pillow - hot. For the soup, the proportions to eat once, about 1.6 liters, no more, since it also shakes on the road - you can get BURNED !!!
  • I cooked supper in the Hotels. Throughout the entire journey, we spent the night there 4 times (2 in one direction, 2 in the other).
  • Easy to wash! She laid out the food on plates and poured water into it, and since it was hot, the water quickly heated up.

Note

The car and the multicooker endured the journey with dignity. We didn't stop by the dining room on the way - everyone ate only from what was with them!

For reinsurance, my husband took with him a gas stove with a can of gas, they used it, but it is possible without it, which I did on the way back - I did not get it at all.
From Europe to Asia (rally with a multicooker Redmond MRC -01)

The only thing that we did not foresee was an adapter for a car refrigerator, so that it could be plugged into a 220V outlet in hotels, but the butter was brought back even without it, it did not melt. On the next trip we will definitely buy. Since in road hotels, refrigerators are not provided for guests.

Marinochkawhat good fellows you are! Thanks for such an interesting review, I read it like a book. Of course, this will not be useful to me, but I will definitely retell your experience to those who travel by car.

Gala
Marina, you are a heroine!
Such a road, yes, with three children and cooking on the go. Thanks for the detailed story, very interesting!

Here I am about it, the heroine is! And what smart kids, they can take such a road!

But it's hard for us, the daughter is numb and me too .

Marin, did you not try to cook on the go? I remember the kettle was plugged in when the car was parked, but the truth is, it was 12 volts.

I'm getting ready for the journey, maybe I can take the baby under my armpit too?

Good report for those in doubt about how to cook and eat on the go! right without leaving the cash register, that is, from the steering wheel and the car!

Marinka, THANK YOU!

Yes. I had to turn on not on the fly - the water was heated for the underwind! Yes, for 3 minutes for a couple, I warmed up to very hot, poured half, the only thing I had to turn on the car was for the engine to work.

The elder cannot stand the same, but the pills help! Without any adventures in this regard - there were no, and even gave an average time. So they are not very good for me and "athletes"

Thanks everyone! I am very pleased that you liked the Report!

Marina, report
Well done !!! You, the multicooker and the car. But first of all you

MarinaThank you for sharing such an interesting experience! My friends are going on a trip with children to Transcarpathia. I will certainly share this information with them, I am sure it will be useful to them.

Yes, here's another husband suggested, if the battery is 75, then without an engine for half an hour is enough

I'm afraid to cook on the go. I thought when we made stops and cook with the engine on.

And there is nothing terrible! It’s extra time to stop, but we didn’t have it.

Marine, and what tablets? Suddenly it will help us, otherwise even in the city on the bus it happens to be sick.

Marina! Super! And I envy, in a white way, of course. We love to travel by car, but we haven’t driven for that long, at most a little more than a day.

Sister! Many do not understand how we carry a one-year-old with us everywhere, a patamushta "it is impossible to carry a child under 3 years old at all". Surely you have heard this phrase more than once. True, we have one so far, but we would have gone with three. You are great fellows! And thanks for the detailed report!

I use "Dramina" - these tablets can be used for children from 1 year old. From early childhood, my eldest daughter was rocked both in buses and in cars - she was worn out, I remember sometimes with transfers, especially in summer.

Of course, with the first, because of my youth and reassurance, I was afraid of everyone, and I didn't go where. When the second was born, the views had already changed, somehow it became easier to treat this, and with the third - already "if necessary, then it is necessary." The first time we drove with the little girl was when she was 3 months old - they all endured nothing, it was great then.

They didn't help my son and they made me sick. I buy just mint suckers, like Soviet ones.

You are great fellows - travelers! No need to be afraid, you just have to take it and go! Yes, it's scary with kids, it's troublesome ... But it's so interesting and informative for everyone. And wait until they grow up -
Masinen
I love to travel by car. Today I passed the Polish Schengen visa. Well, the Poles, of course .... Give only 2 days of transit through the whole of Europe damn it !!! Today I explained to them that we need at least three Days, no way, they tell you two days and go as you want. Those give 2 there two back. I was upset, I wanted to go shopping for 1 day (((
Mar_k

... I was upset, I wanted to go shopping for 1 day (((
This is the most offensive thing, which is the most important thing in the span !!!! I also like to go shopping, to look out for something new. I was at my mother's, so I climbed the small shops - everything is interesting !!!
Masinen
So when I go, I always buy things for children in Europe, maybe there are cheaper and the choice is better. And then I thought I'd go deeper into the technique, aa Poles as they knew and figs showed me)))
Well, maybe we'll stop by, of course, but all this will be running and in a hurry. And we will not be able to stop normally and will have to get up early, in short, tin. I lost the habit of driving like that. Well, we will break through, we are Russians after all
Mar_k
Good luck to you !!!
OlikLelik
Thank you very much for your report! The husband often travels on business trips, eats very poorly. Now I will take note of your experience! Everything was painted in great detail! You are great !!!!
Omela
Marina, be stunned !!!!!! Can you tell us more about the current converter ?? Where did you buy the passwords.
Kara
Marina, adore

Marinochka, we also have a dilemma of how to travel more economically, on our own or by plane / train. And if by car, then of course no eateries. Please tell me, did you calculate how much the road cost (along with gasoline, and everything that you bought on the road, devices, food, napkins, etc.)? It would also be interesting to calculate how much your car "ate" on the highway? Did you have to additionally adjust / buy something in it (oil, for example, or what filters ...)? And yet, is it only your spouse who is driving, or have you changed? Did you stay overnight? If so, where?

Sorry for a bunch of questions, it's just as relevant now as ever!
Mar_k
Omela, bought on the Qumo brand for 1200 watts.
Mar_k
KaraOf course, we did not immediately decide to travel by car! It so happened that my mother moved to Altai for permanent residence. But the train ride to her 72 hours and whitewashed at that time cost 3600, and there were 5 of us, and even taking into account children's tickets it came out very well, but on the plane there are no words at all !!!! On the track, our horse ate not a lot, from 8 to 11 liters, therefore, the consumption for money is not great, and 95 gasoline cost about 31 rubles. (in general, about 20 thousand for the road in both directions)
And we spent the night in roadside hotels only 4 times (there and back) - for 7 thousand. And on the way we ate in a cafe, but in decent ones, only 2 - and this was at the beginning of the journey and at the end (there was no desire cook, last 1000). It is not expensive, because compared to Moscow prices, this is complete communism !!! I don’t remember how much they spent on products, but a little, approximately according to the list (at the beginning), you can calculate, and the devices that were bought at first wrote their cost (MV, converter, refrigerator), again this is a one-time purchase and will serve more than one trip! !!
Mostly my husband was driving, he did not entrust his horse to me, although a couple of times I substituted him, but not on the highway, but on empty 'country' roads, and even then not for long ... We drove 800 km -900 km a day and slept for 6 hours. True, we stopped often, as with children and to feed and all things, somewhere for 1 hour and 2 hours at lunchtime, there were 3 stops per day + overnight! The only thing was to change the oil in the car, because it was necessary to change the maintenance and that's it! But my husband carefully prepared the whole car for the trip !!! So something like this !!!
Irina.
Mar_k, what an interesting trip, everything is so well scheduled, in my thoughts I went this way myself. What good fellows you are, with 3 children, and even with little ones, were not afraid to go on such a road. Such trips are very beneficial for the family, educational and relationships are strengthened.

Very informative for me. I'll take a note. I didn't even know about the current converter that this happens for machines. I'll show my husband, tell him, let him ponder this option.
Oh, I imagined how I would tell my family that I took a multicooker with me on the trip and cooked in it while we were driving, then they would definitely say that it was not normal. They already look at me as strange, that I have 3 multi-cookers, pressure cookers, and then I can't live without them on the road.
Marina, and what power should the technique be? Apparently MV is better than a small one, for 2-3 liters, I don't have one, mine is 5, 6 liters. What, another one to buy? Take a control shot for them?
Mar_k
Irina., Thank you!!! Yes, the trip is very exciting !!! A charge of cheerfulness for the whole year !!! We can't wait until we go !!!
And the technique must be low-power, where no more than 350-400 W, or the converter is more powerful and then a battery of greater power is needed !!! We have a converter for 1200 and what a damn 65 it seems ... If you cook in a hotel, then you can take a big one, and I'm in the car while driving porridge, soup, so that then just stop and eat !!!
Allegra
Marina, great! Well done!
And the MV could not be put under your feet? In order not to hold ...
irysikf
Super theme! Thanks for the report. And I still had an idea, you can also use the master for making scrambled eggs and not only (for a variety of the menu or for those who do not really like porridge), it is small and perfect for travel. I hold the MV only during cooking, and I also put a pillow under it, so that it is more convenient to hold it and does not shake much! If in the legs, then it is possible, only if not soup, but the second, so as not to splash!

Now, if I had been adapted to put on it and so that it would not shake, it would not pump, although it seems to me that the Chinese craftsmen have already invented it

Mar_k
Irina., I'm already at home !!! Arrived like a week ago !! They sorted things out a little, sent the children to the kindergarten, there were 2 thousand photos left to disassemble. I will definitely tell you how I went!

Mar_k, read the whole topic avidly, maybe missed new stories about your trips, throw a link where to read. Very interesting . I bought myself the same slow cooker and a pancake, and now I'm thinking whether to take it with me on a trip. I'm going to the camp site, there seems to be three meals a day, but my baby is 2 years old, I don’t know if he will eat food from the canteen
