Somehow I'm not entirely on the topic on this page, but ... I conducted comparative tests of a steam generator and a washing vacuum cleaner on the topic of cleaning the sofa and carpet. Maybe this is not relevant for new furniture, but I thoroughly cleaned the wrinkled sofa after operation during repairs and staying on it for my daughter with cookies, etc., and playing games with mothers and daughters with peeing little ones. Hands reached him. The steam generator, of course, removes surface contamination, it is more convenient to clean complex configurations of parts. I naively thought that after the steam room Thomas would have nothing to do. It was not there ... By the power of the shampoo and its suction, he extracted a lot of dirt from the depths of the sofa and carpet. So each device has its own place. And a washing vacuum cleaner, despite the complexity of its maintenance, cannot be replaced by anything. Thomas, I still love you!

Alenka, thank you! Exactly what I wanted to find out. The head understood that it should be so, but testing in practice is valuable.
Alenka212
Galina, than I can! I can't afford to buy whatever I want. I often throw myself at 2 in 1. (It's good that I didn't have time to buy a 2 in 1 paroshbabra). But again I am convinced that for each individual device works better than the combined ones.

Marinkak939, I think you need to go to a company and get interest on them for advertising, I've already seduced 2 of them on my head, now we'll torture you with questions And I didn't even think about vertical ironing, maybe now I will wash the curtains and iron them too, but then they always just sagged under the gravity. I hope I'll get it next week, and maybe this one.
Leska
A relative's iron from Karcher SC 5.800 C was numb (only bought in May), it's good that the old one did not have time to liquidate.
Alycha
Doesn't the warranty cover it?
Stafa
2 years warranty.

Distributed by. They took it to the guarantee. Iron together with a steam generator. For 40 days. After all, she dissuaded her when buying (bought together). Now he asks mine for a rental for cleaning - I will not give it out of harm, so that next time I obey the elders .

Yes, of course, it's a shame for Yuud to hope that mine will work well

From a steamer with a clip-on iron.

Ellana, thanks for the information!
Is the difference in price between these models big?
Decent, actually. We have 1020 = 4990, and 2500 - 6490 =.
There are also 2500 Sochy, they advertise a gift for him, he is 7490 =.
But the gift includes a set of brushes and gloves.
A set of brushes separately costs 451 =, and gloves are not needed (at least for me).
Therefore, it is more profitable to take just 2500 and a set of brushes.
lillay
Thank you, Ellana , for information for thought. I will think further, but I am already inclined to buy a 2500 model. And brushes included.

I thought a little more and bought a brush for cleaning windows (but not right away)
Although you can wash it with a hand-held nozzle, and drive off the water by hand (I do so with soaps).
But I decided that it was better to brush them
I thought at first to buy their windshield wiper, but it uses chemicals.
And I already wrote about the rags, they are sooo expensive, you can make the most from towels or microfiber and it will be much cheaper and maybe even better.

Alain, this is quite logical .... After all, the PG only "knocks out / knocks out / blows out" dirt .. but does NOT collect it IN ANY way!

I finished a similar experiment exactly half an hour ago ... only I first vacuumed the carpet, and then washed it off, and after the vacuum cleaner, SO MUCH sand flew from the carpet! (and vacuum cleaner and PG washed the carpet of soap on the street, hanging on the fence ... and in front of the vacuum cleaner, the carpet was also knocked out - these carpets from the kindergarten were "handed over" to the parents for washing ...) .. so the conclusion is definitely one: you need to have equipment, which does not include 100,000 in 1 !!!!

But I think there are options!

You can write endlessly about the advantages of steam cleaners! I have Karcher SC 1.020. The room has a milky white carpet on the floor. The pile is very dense, the length is about 1cm. It is clear that over time, the carpet has turned gray, where spots have appeared. Impossible to dry-clean - the carpet is glued to the floor. Maybe the way I cleaned the carpet will seem difficult and time-consuming, but believe me it's not so difficult and long! In the beginning, I vacuum cleaned with an ordinary vacuum cleaner. then walked with the steam Karcher floor brush. As it turned out, the carpet shampoo is almost over at home! I read on the Internet the composition of detergents for dry cleaners for carpets! We used a window cleaner (ammonia was needed) washing powder for foam, a little Vanish powder (stain remover), remnants of carpet shampoo, water, vinegar. Foam has formed in the bowl after mixing all the ingredients. I applied this foam to the carpet with a sponge where there were stains --- rubbed lightly. I left everything for an hour and a half. I just let the carpet dry. Summer --- the balcony is open. Then she walked with an ordinary vacuum cleaner And at the end I moistened a cloth on the rubber band of the floor brush in vinegar, put it on the brush and walked with steam on the carpet! She took off the cloth in the process and stretched it out, as it became VERY dark gray! Although visually the carpet looked snow-white! The vinegar smell faded quickly. By evening, the carpet was new and clean again! Maybe someone will use my story
Alenka212
Directly write off the composition of homemade shampoo! Is this a Vanish type shampoo composition? (judging by the technology)
Melrose
Lana, Sveta, do you have a window cleaner in your steam cleaner? I also choose to clean carpets, but I would also like to walk through the windows
lana19
Well, yes, like Vanish. It was written on the Internet what is usually found in detergents and cleaners for dry cleaners! I didn't have the opportunity to go out to the store --- and so my detergent was born! By the way --- after the shop shampoos for carpets, the surface of the carpet will not say that it was sticky --- but the carpet turned gray relatively quickly (WASH WITHOUT KERCHER)! I cleaned the carpet sometime in the middle of May. The view is still clean! And the carpet shampoo I have left is the cheapest one in the store! I sent my husband for vanish, but my husband decided to save money and bought this shampoo. He removed the stains from the carpet with difficulty. BUT!!!!!!!! I also found a use for it! In the kitchen and in the corridor, I have a type of washable wallpaper, but not smooth and oilcloth --- but all in small dotted purples, similar to rough paper. Once my husband took a glass of apple-blueberry juice and it slipped out of his hands. Some of the juice got on the wallpaper. He didn't wash it off the wall right away - he was in a hurry to get to work! And when I started to wash THIS, then everything was washed off from the purples perfectly, but between them it was not washed. I sprinkled this carpet cleaner on the wall (it comes with a spray bottle) and the miracle happened! The product slid down the wallpaper without leaving any smudges or streaks and washed off the juice! I just wiped off the creeping foam with a dry cloth and that's it! Now we buy this tool as SOS for wallpaper! Forgive, that part of my story is not dark!
lana19
Melrose, Elena! I just bought a separate nozzle for washing the windows. In the room and in the hallway there are built-in fully mirrored wardrobes. I use it mainly for them! First, I walk with steam, then I turn off the steam and walk just with a nozzle (I collect water from top to bottom), periodically wiping a rubber scraper from the water with a dry cloth - so there will be no streaks. It is not very convenient to collect water at the very bottom of the mirror. There I just wipe the "white cat" with microfiber. The same is on the windows. You just have to get used to it. At the beginning I was disappointed with this attachment, and then everything went with a bang! Maybe someone does not wipe the scraper with a rag while working ---- but I still have stains! And with wiping everything is ok!
Melrose
well, everything, I made my choice! long live dry cleaning at home!

Thank you for this advice ... I have a "garden" carpet for a long time "to bring to my senses" ... I just sprinkled vinegar - the result is "0" ... now I'll try it again!
Marinkak939
Girls, why the carpet with vinegar? What does it do?
Lyalya Toy
The smell removes. I also cleaned the carpet with vinegar today.
lana19
Here's what I found on the Internet -------- Many people prefer to use the real dry cleaning method to remove the most stubborn stains. For certain types of stains, this is the only correct solution. But if you do not want to deal with complex household chemicals, then you can try to do with improvised means. Just as we use baking soda to remove stains from clothes, fast-drying carbonate cleaners have been successfully used to remove stubborn stains from carpet. One such product is easy to make at home: add 3 teaspoons of any colorless dishwashing liquid, 1/4 cup of ammonia and 1/4 cup of vinegar to 7-8 liters of water. With the resulting mixture, you can remove almost any stain
Oca
Well, the stench in the house will be from this nuclear mixture, the scent will beat off and it will seem that the carpet no longer smells like ammonia (I buy undiluted ammonia) actually helps to clean
JelenaM
I honestly read the second half of the topic from page 70!) I realized one thing that I need a steam!) But which one?
I understand that such questions have already been asked a million times. But in my head there is a terrible mess among brands and sizes. At first I decided that I wanted Odysseus 801. There are a lot of attachments, but do they not need them? Potmo decided that I'd better buy a Karcher 1020. And now, reading about the jugs, I think - maybe you don't need a big one right away?

in general, the conditions are as follows - there are no carpets, the apartment is small 2-room. That is, it is not so much to clean that there is a lot of things and there is almost no place to store the steam. I wash the windows with handles, the functions of the iron are also not needed.
Requests - to clean the stove, corners, sink, cast-iron battery, microwave oven, oven, all kinds of cracks in the kitchen, refrigerator, cupboards, kitchen facades. Well, you can have bathrooms and toilets. Can occasionally steam some clothes from severe bruising, but this is an option. Although in the case of plastic windows, it would be necessary to wash the slopes, frames, handles. Moscow, 10th floor, the mud flies at lightning speed.

The question is - will the jug be enough for my purposes? Small volume and constant water topping in which case does not scare me too much. It is the temperature of the steam and the pressure produced that interests. Is that enough in jugs?
Will Clathronic suit me for example?
And why is there such a difference in price between these jugs? For example, I saw Redmond in okay - it costs 4000. A clathronic 1000 in total.
There is also some kind of bissel.
Guard!! Help)

JelenaM, do not hope that you will wash with any kind of steam generator, for example, an oven - without chemicals .. or you will have to initially buy SO MUCH spare brushes ... ... I first took a small one, and then a large one .. if I wash several rooms at once, as yesterday there was a bathtub and a kitchen, then it is definitely big, but half of a large gas station is enough for washing ..
From my own experience I can say that the first few cleanings you will fanatically wash EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING with a steam cleaner and fill in water 2-3 times, then this need will disappear and after filling the steam generator even with 200 ml of water, you will bleed it ... .. I don't know. How often do you clean up, general ... That is, if you maintain cleanliness constantly, then a jug will be enough for you! But this is my IMHO ...
Alenka212
Redmond is very active in promoting its products. It winds up godlessly. There are many examples of this. So its price is not a guarantee of quality.
And about the choice of big-small, it's up to you. But consider the frequency of cleaning. If often and little by little, then a little is probably enough. And if once a week and from the heart, then big is just right. For example, after work, I would like to feed my own people with dinner, to throw out pots and plates in the kitchen. And then, by choice, either vacuum-clean the floor, or buzz in the garden-vegetable garden. When it’s already here to wipe off the stains ....: this: And at the weekend, a big steam in the teeth and in a circle ...
lana19
JelenaM! I agree with Anyuta. If something is at home and "STARTED" then you cannot do without household chemicals --- this is the first time cleaning with a steam cleaner! My acquaintance with this device began with the Klatronic jug. The husband wanted to clean the air conditioners and his acquaintances lent him a Clathronic. Well, of course, the Soviet woman did not end with air conditioning !!!!!! Were purged all the cracks in the bath ........ the list is long! Disadvantages ----- constant water filling, I had to reach for distant objects and I would like more power! After fanatical cleaning --- I sat down to read what and what they write on their favorite forum! Thanks to everyone who wrote their reviews about the steam cleaners! It was decided to buy Karcher 1020. (very compact) Its advantages over the Clathronic ---- 1. If something breaks down --- the service center! (As it was found out --- if the clathronic breaks down, there are no spare parts in the service centers) 2. After purchasing Karcher, the husband blew the air conditioners again ----- it's scary to say which of them flew out! (Klatronic is resting) 3. On Karcher, nozzles can be put on 2 long tubes ------- tiles in the bathroom, ceiling in the bathroom, etc. ... You stand in one place and reach wherever you want! Our windows overlook the roadway --- hello dust! Blinds hang on the balcony and in the kitchen. I used to take them off and wash them in the bathroom --- now I go through the nozzle with a cloth and that's it! 5. Karcher has a mop head - no streaks when cleaning the floor! AND !!! I use this attachment as a simple mop! You can insert any cloth into it! 6. How I cleaned the carpet --- I already wrote! 7. One filling of water is enough for a long time! Again, I will repeat Anyuta --- you will not use it every day ---- but when you need it --- HE IS SO YES --- WILL BE NEEDED and will save your time and effort! Well, which company to buy is up to you!
JelenaM
thank you all for the answers! the matter is a little clearer.
okay, I’ll do without the oven. She's not so dirty) But the hood, yes, it should be.

I have not started, but depending on where. I clean the floors almost every day, for the dog, wool, sand. I hate it on the floor. The windows are open around the clock, so horror, horror that flies into them.
The rest as it gets dirty. There are no children, there is no one to get dirty. But such things as switches, kitchen fronts, handles, it gets dirty somehow disgustingly, but it is washed confusingly and rarely. And chemistry stinks, and I have asthma. Well, plus a sink in the kitchen, a stove. I'm unlikely to wash the tiles in the bathroom, they are normal and so.
But all sorts of cracks especially irritate me, where it is impossible to reach with rags, and every rubbish gets clogged.

Just the difference in the price of clathronic and karcher 5 times!) Clathronic for a thousand in case of breakdown in a couple of months and you can throw it away. If it works 5 times perfectly, and then bread) And I will understand whether I need it or not. But how to understand if the clathronic initially cannot cope with the little things?)) Or can it?

I plan, if I like this business, my parents have to buy a better unit. The same 1020 for example. Here they have an apartment twice as big, maybe there is more dirt and a love for cleaning is less))) I would have turned around there
* Anyuta *
Quote: JelenaM

But how to understand if the clathronic initially cannot cope with the little things?)) Or can it?

Here you get the idea wrong.. the fact is that the main indicator and "magnitude of choice" for ALL GHGs is pressure..... So, for small steam generators it is several units less than for large ones .. and there is nothing surprising here, the larger the container, the more pressure there will be, it is just that it (pressure and steam) has a place where it is "formed" .... .. I hope that you understand and understand what I am telling you about ....
JelenaM
I just understood about the pressure. pressure and temperature.
But here the odyssey has a declared pressure of up to 8 bar, and in the reviews on the Internet I subtracted that someone measured it and gave 3.8 in total
Well, for pitchers, it goes from 2.5 to 4.5 in terms of characteristics, depending on the models. But this is declared!))) But real? Therefore, I am looking for reviews and personal experience.
In general, if I choose a jug, then look for a model with a larger volume?

I won't say anything about the big one, I don't have it, but
some kind of bissel
there is a jug.
The pressure is good there, water does not splash if interrupted. Convenient, high-quality, fastenings are very good, nozzles are dark
Again, your choice depends on the scope of work and frequency of use. Personally, this jug is enough for me, because I use it to clean hard-to-reach places, which often do not need to be "climbed", for example, wash-wash the seams on the washer, in the window frames, I also have kitchen hard-to-reach places, kitchen appliances - multicooker, bread maker , that is, those places where once every six months you need to wash and which causes horror from only thoughts, and with my jug - the hardest thing is to get it (I keep it in the dark). Another huge plus is the length of the cord - 5 meters (not like an iron - for comparison).

I want to write about my Odyssey. Today I poured water into it 3 times: 500ml, 1L, 1.5L, I used up everything, to the last drop.Do you think for what? One piece of furniture - a chair! No, it didn't get wet, it was a little damp, and by the evening it was completely dry. Unfortunately, no photo, because the steam engine worked "on the road." So, I tell you: given a "velvet" chair, soft on all sides, so puffy and large, in which you can lie down with a book. The age of the chair was estimated by "annual deposits" and was at least 10 years old. On the part of the chair that was in contact with the body, there was something vaguely reminiscent of the sole of an old slipper: so hard, shiny, the color of laundry soap. The armrests were rubbed in some places and the hairs fell out, the rest was supposed to be washed. You cannot rub the fabric strongly - it will come apart completely. This is my second experience of washing furniture and the first in terms of heavy dirt. I started with a steamer nozzle (the one to which the elastic for the windows is attached). She pulled on a rag, drove it once or twice - the rag became chocolate-colored Several times I washed the rag and poured it - the result is the same: the rag is dirty, but the chair, as it was greasy, remains! Then I tried other methods, I will describe the most successful in my opinion. A nozzle with the narrowest nozzle is taken, the steam pressure is half or even more of the maximum. You will need an additional mitten (protection from steam is desirable) and a cloth 30 * 30 cm (used microfiber). We do: from a distance of 5-7 cm we steam off the dirt / grease a little, it becomes clear that the upholstery of the chair is wet, "waves" of dirty water appear. We blot them with a rag so that they are not absorbed, and then we bring the nozzle as close to the fabric as possible and blow steam on (not against!) The wool at an angle of no more than 60 degrees (so as not to hammer in, but blow off the dirt), carry the nozzle to the right and left. In this case, the dirt will scatter in all directions. In order to prevent splashing of dirt, take a rag in the other hand and cover the area to be cleaned with it (imagine that you have caught a moth on the table, covering it with your hand, and now you raise your palm to look under it). In a semicircle like this, I held a rag, trying to catch all the splashes. After a few seconds, you yourself will see how the cloth has gotten dirty. When you feel that the steam has weakened, stop supplying it and try to wipe off the loosened dirt with a clean edge of a cloth. Slowly and sadly, the upholstery was cleaned for 3-3.5 hours ... It turns out that it is silvery! The back has become pleasantly silky and soft to the touch (for comparison of sensations: it's like washing "work" men's socks with fabric softener). The worn-out armrests, alas, remained yellow-gray, but no longer sticky. In general, I was worn out no less than a chair, but the result pleased
Marinkak939
Girls, if someone in the near future in Moscow or the region decides to buy a steam cleaner from the Karcher line, write to me, I will give you a link to a store where there is a special offer for steam cleaners at the moment. As the consultant told me, it will definitely act until the end of August. In the same place, by the way, online, you can talk to a consultant and find out everything. I bought my little steam carker 5800 with an iron for 16260 rubles, and on other sites it is 19000 with a penny. I will not post a link here, so that the moderators do not consider it an advertisement.

I tried my new thing today, I'm very happy. The parent kitchen is glistening. I washed a couple of windows, a slab of marble in the kitchen, tiles with part of the walls, cupboards in the kitchen, and a toilet. Poured water four times. Do I understand correctly that there is only one container for water? Or I'm completely blonde. And at the end, you need to pour out the water, so this is from the same tank or something you need to unscrew. And also Marishka a hose which for steam can be folded somewhere or just stored in a separate bag, or maybe I didn't notice something there. Torturing you with questions. Of course, you need to adapt to the windows, otherwise the divorces remained a nozzle for the windows on the phone they said that they were entering and now they say that I misunderstood, but oh well, I'll get used to it without her
