maybe you can remove all the gaskets in some water and boil .. then insert them again (well, these are my thoughts ..

Larissa, and where are these gaskets?

Well, I suppose (do you have a pressure cooker by accident?) should these gaskets be everywhere so that steam-water is not allowed through in an unnecessary place (under the lid for example) is there?
Lyalya Toy
There is a pressure cooker (quite by accident).
Now I looked and found one rubber gasket on the lid,
only it is not removed. Sits very tightly. I decided that the sweetheart will come
from work and look, I will not do anything myself, otherwise it’s definitely after me
you will have to carry it to the trash.

exactly rubber? it would be better to replace it with silicone ..

alison, do not kill yourself. Everything is always beautiful in advertising. They even have a white cloth after washing the windows.
I couldn't wash my terry cloth after cleaning the sofa to a white state: there was a bluish tint from the color of the upholstery. Now I have one for the sofa and another for the clothes.
In working with a steam engine as with health: it is impossible to cure something that has been accumulating over the years in one dose of medicine.
At the first stage, either gradually clean it off, or help with chemistry. And don't let it accumulate further.
It is better not to rub hard with a brush, but to help the stream of steam. Otherwise, it will deform from high temperature.
I bought a nozzle for the windows, but I didn't really like it on the mirror. It's easier for me to be a white cat)) And how to help with chemistry? I have accumulated, yes ((

What brush? I tried washing with the one in the kit. Rubbed so that on the very first day (but after the third pouring of the steam cleaner) one group of bristles got out))) I was glad that I immediately ordered additional brushes.
And I also have a question, do you have to rub it hard when using it or process it at a distance?
I also got one bunch of bristles for the first time
and I also immediately ordered extra. set.
The tiles in the kitchen were cleaned well and the seams too (although everything was sooooo dirty). Take your time brushing at maximum steam. Pleased with the skirting boards, they are wooden in my kitchen and it was not realistic to clean them. Parosik brought them to their original form in a few minutes.
I didn't wash the taps very well (in comparison with the chemical agent), but maybe I didn't have enough experience and patience.
It does not take the ingrained rust at all, only if it is a little on top.

Isn't it scary to wash the tree? I have a kitchen made of wood, and I want to, and it pricks) What if the steam deteriorates? Or is it possible?

I pulled my woolen rug outside, cleaned it with a steam cleaner ...After cleaning, some white dust came out of it. After that I knocked out the carpet for half a day, but did not knock it out completely. I wonder what it was? It feels like under the influence of steam some rubber-like layer crumbled to dust. Can the carpet be rubberized?

Most likely this is the glue base, unless of course the carpet is not one of those times when nothing was done with glue, but only weaved.

You can walk a little at a distance with steam, and then wipe it dry with a cloth. The tree does not need to soar strongly, I steamed my wooden door to the bathroom on the first day as it was thoroughly steamed (it was heavily grabbed by the handles in some places) to wash it, it was all washed, but you can see the tree swelled up from a large amount of intense steam and the door probably closed with difficulty for two months ... The door was made of unpainted wood, maybe that's why?
I still wash the kitchen sink and toilet bowl first with chemistry, for me it is faster than steam, but when I walk around the apartment with a steam engine, I walk along them along the way (sort of like disinfection) mirrors and windows washed for a long time for the first time. Several times I steamed them and collected all the dirt with a glass brush, for that the result was wonderful, they just sparkled! Now I wash my mirrors very quickly to shine, once a week I go through a steam vacuum cleaner once a week and no napkins are needed because it dries without streaks and drops.

Irma
Upholstered corner furniture nozzle. the middle brush and on it the terry nozzle that comes with the kit. I have this makhrushka quickly got dirty and painted over from the sofa red. I wound a small terry towel around the brush and cleaned it. I have not tried to clean the skin, can someone share who had such an experience.
Alenka212
alison, when cleaning the sofa, try first on an irreplaceable place: there are different upholstery. Sometimes flocked on an adhesive base, it can be damaged. I have shinin, it sheds a little, but in general I had to wash the cloth very many times.

Hello everybody!!! I have been the owner of Kromax Q-801 for 2 weeks already, thanks to the reviews on this site: bye: I doubted for a very long time, but I bought it !!! confuses the connection of extension cords and the fact that there is a lot of condensation when steaming things, this is what interferes with washing windows and mirrors. When working with a jug, much less water is generated.
Irina543
I now have a Kromax jug at home, it will be presented to my sister, of course I also tested it;) a big steam pipe definitely suits me !!! The biggest delight was caused by the hanging of the new tulle !!!!
Ellana
Quote: Irina543

The biggest delight was the steaming of the new tulle on the weight !!!!
Need to try!
Alenka212
Irina543, steaming is a separate story. But ... Condensation is collected if there are breaks in the work of the wig, for example, to turn clothes on a hanger, since it is rigidly fixed. I get out of the situation as follows: I adapted my hanger, the base of which rotates, that is, it turns over much faster, I hang the gun with a nozzle upside down on the rack, the condensation becomes less. and of course, you need to get used to adjusting the steam pressure. The larger it is, the wetter the thing will be. Indeed, in true steamers, the steam is not so humid. Therefore, even things of different tissue composition float with different steam.

It's a shame, but I haven't reached the windows and blinds yet. At first, the heat was not conducive, then the rains. In general, I'm looking forward to a vacation for new achievements. For something in the last weeks was a kamatous state (it was a very difficult year). Not to exploits and early steaming of clothes. In the morning I would like to grab something (you can't guess now even with a forecast what the weather will be like). a couple of times with an iron and go. (Now I'm waiting for a steam brush to simplify this function altogether).

And what is your tree covered with? If there is a varnish, then it is possible to release steam on a small pair with a nozzle with a cloth and not constantly release steam, but in portions.
My skirting boards are not covered with anything, so I did not feel sorry for them and rubbed them with a brush.

Our doors are also made of wood, I steamed them, everything is fine, of course the main thing is not to overdo it!

Despite the recommendations of experienced bathers (thank you all), each of us is in some way a pioneer and discoverer. Everyone, perhaps, has an insidious surface that no one has come across and only experimentally can one find out whether it can be steamed or not. Good luck to everyone and fewer failed experiments!

Can a leather sofa be steam washed?)
With natural leather, I would not risk it - you can spoil the skin (it deforms from temperatures).

But I don’t know)) It seems to be covered with nothing) That is, if without varnish, then nothing? I have already tried it, but carefully, I'm afraid in full force)) I didn't seem to notice any changes, but I read somewhere that after two or three times it can swell.

Alenka212
Nowadays, the fashion is called natural pressed leather. It seems to be similar: the remnants of natural leather are crushed to a state of crumb, and then pressed with synthetic binders. and who knows what this "skin" has in its composition and how it will react to steam. They used to wear real leather and suede boots for more than one winter, they did not raise their hand: how many years, but everyone is safe.

How is it necessary to wet it to swell?
I think nothing bad will happen, the tree will dry out after steam.
The main thing is not to damage it with a brush.
You are not going to soar it every day!

So I was puzzled by the purchase of a steam cleaner. I want karcher, but I don't know which 1020 or 5800. The apartment is large, there are about 20 windows, you can buy a shutter for windows or without it, you can rinse the outer side of the window, do you need to buy a turbo shutter that everyone praises or is all-inclusive in 5800? The difference in price is 2 times essentially but I don't want to buy and then all the time scold myself that I bought the wrong thing. Help
Marinkak939
I also struggled for a long time which of the Karcher to buy and chose 5800 with an iron, because I still needed a good iron, and as I read, for a steam iron, the pressure of 3.2 bar is not enough. Of course, I did not have a 1020 model and I have nothing to compare with, but I do not regret buying. Additionally, I purchased a window attachment and colored brushes. As for the configuration, it is the same for the 1020 and 5800 models, of course, except for the iron. Well, a big plus is that you can add water while you work. By the way, I really liked to iron the organza curtains. Previously, on my iron it was not possible to turn on steam at the minimum mode, but here the iron itself, the steam itself, is very convenient and smoothes out perfectly. If you still have questions, ask
Alycha
Thank you very much. The fact of the matter is that I do not need an iron, so I rush about
Marinkak939
Then you need to decide for yourself: if you need a more powerful device, then take 5800 C-it without an iron, and if the pressure of 3.2 bar is enough for you, then look at the Karcher 2500. I strongly advise you to take it with the possibility of adding water during operation - very convenient!
Alycha
I will check whether we have such models, I live in Israel and, to be honest, I have not seen 5800 without an iron or 2500, but it is the lack of water in 1020 that confuses me
Marinkak939
Of course, I don’t know how it is with you in Israel, but we have 5800 in two versions 5800 C-without an iron and 5800 SV with an iron
Alycha
I did not find it, I will probably take 1020 and I will buy two nozzles - for windows and turbo

Thank you! Very similar to that. The carpet is modern. What is the next? Doesn't it fall apart without glue?
Alycha
I ordered 5800 all the same, I did not find something in between with the option of water topping up, and by 1020 I had to buy in addition every brush (well, in the sense of turbo and for windows), but this model included everything, so the price difference was reduced to 1.5 times
lillay
Marinkak939 Marina, it turns out that the 2500 model is the same as the 1020, only with the possibility of adding water during operation? Do the other parameters match? I just did not see 2500 models with us, right after 1020 in a specialized shop Karcher I was offered 5800 with an iron. But I didn’t like the price for it, and I don’t need an iron either, and the robot washes my floors, and the windows are a Karcher's window cleaner .... So I wanted to buy model 1020, but the impossibility of adding water during operation stops me. Maybe the 2500 is just what I was waiting for?
Alycha
I didn't find 2500 either, I didn't need an iron either (although it may be better to iron it with a steam iron than an ordinary one), but my robot only sweeps the floor, and I don't have a window washer either, and the 5800 also has the function of adding hot water in steam, maybe for the floor on the balcony and in the garden will help, in general I am waiting. I was also told that 1020 has a 1.5 meter hose, and 5800 has 2, which also played a significant role in the choice - I have 2 huge windows 3 meters high. And the price is yes, but on the other hand, it also includes a bunch of nozzles, and in 1020 each nozzle we have at least 40 dollars, and for windows so in general 60
Ellana
I have 2500. It differs from 1020: the length of the hose is 2m, topped up during operation, the water tank is 0.5 + 0.8. If I do not see that the water is running out, then it emits a sound signal.
I also wanted 1020 at first, but decided to overpay for convenience.
At 1020, when the water runs out, you need to wait until it cools down and then unscrew the lid.
They also said in the store that the steam pressure is 2500 more (maybe not so).
But, if the windows and floors are washed by other equipment, then you may not need to top up, one filling in 1020 will be enough.
lillay
Ellana, thanks for the information!
Is the difference in price between these models big?

If you still have questions, ask
Marinkak939, can I ask? I just really need to ask about the iron, forgive me for repeating myself, there were simply no answers to my questions. And tell me, are you generally satisfied with the iron? I need an iron that will iron delicate things, I'm already tortured to spoil blouses and dresses, Karcherovsky will cope with this task, will there be no burns on the iron and on things?
Qween
louisa, I want to recommend you such a brush ... Very comfortable for delicate items.
louisa
Qween, thank you very much for the advice, but ..... firstly, as I understand it, there are no analogues in Russia, and secondly, I need an iron not only for delicate things, but in general as an iron itself, but so that with this I coped with the task, so I really want to know in more detail about Karcher whether it's worth it, well, and then you can think about the brush,: secret: otherwise my husband will soon forbid me to visit forums, it’s too many devices of all sorts of bells and whistles
Marinkak939
It is, of course, difficult to advise something, because as they say, how many people, so many opinions, but personally I really like the Karcher iron! Now I only stroke them. To be honest, from delicate fabrics, I only ironed curtains for them from organza and tulle, because I only have a steam cleaner for a week ... I ironed a cotton blouse. Everything smoothed out very well. And this is not at the full power of the iron and steam cleaner. I put the iron on a C grade and steam on the steam cleaner at half full power. When I ironed the organza curtain with an old iron on a deuce, I burned it a little, but everything is fine with a karcher! The instructions say that this model can steam things vertically with an iron, since the pressure is 4 bars.
Alenka212
Somehow I'm not entirely on the topic on this page, but ... I conducted comparative tests of a steam generator and a washing vacuum cleaner on the topic of cleaning the sofa and carpet. Maybe this is not relevant for new furniture, but I thoroughly cleaned the wrinkled sofa after operation during repairs and staying on it for my daughter with cookies, etc., and playing games with mothers and daughters with peeing little ones. Hands reached him. The steam generator, of course, removes surface contamination, it is more convenient to clean complex configurations of parts. I naively thought that after the steam room Thomas would have nothing to do. It was not there ... By the power of the shampoo and its suction, he extracted a lot of dirt from the depths of the sofa and carpet. So each device has its own place. And a washing vacuum cleaner, despite the complexity of its maintenance, cannot be replaced by anything. Thomas, I still love you!
