Kefir pie

Ingredients

for a mold Ø 28 cm
Dough:
Flour 300 g
Baking powder 2 tea. spoons
Sugar 250 g
Vanilla sugar 1 sachet
Eggs 3 pieces
Kefir 300 ml
Lemon flavor (optional) a few drops
Coating:
Butter 50 g
Sugar 75 g
Almond flakes or coconut flakes 80 g

Cooking method

  • Mix flour with baking powder, add the rest of the ingredients and beat with a mixer for about 2 minutes. The dough is liquid.

  • Line the baking dish with baking paper, pour the dough into it and bake in a preheated oven at T 180 ° (convection 160 °) for 10-15 minutes, just to get a little stuck.

  • While the dough is in the oven, prepare the coating.

  • Melt butter and sugar in a ladle, add almonds or coconut flakes, stir.

  • Remove the cake from the oven, spread the coating over the surface and bake at the same temperature until tender (until sampled on a dry toothpick) for another 15 minutes.

  • I cannot say that this is the most delicious cake I have ever eaten. But if only kefir hangs in the refrigerator, and a family with pouty faces asks for sweets, then it is quite a worthy cake for a family tea party. Moreover, the coating is sooooo tasty!

Well, I didn't have kefir today. But there were leftovers of yogurt and sour cream. While HP was working on the bread dough, I baked a pie. Only now I foolishly baked it not in a split form, but in a rectangular tray. To get it, I had to cut it in half. And it turned out to be thinner.
The coating is really very tasty, only now part of the butter escaped from the cake to the bottom.

I poured it into a silicone mold (maybe this is the case?). I put it in email. oven. And after 15 minutes. I had a liquid mass under a brown crust. Added another 10 minutes. the mass hardened a little, and when I put the top layer, a hole broke out on the side and a liquid-liquid dough flowed out of it and half hid the coconut. The cake turned out to be low, dense, not baked and still soaked in oil. I want to ask how thick the dough should be. Like a charlotte or thinner or thicker? Maybe I needed to add more flour? No, I just want to find out. The idea is great, especially since I always have homemade yogurt and my dear loves coconut. I want it to work out for me. Help me please!
