Who didn't dry the figs? Who knows how best to do this, can you give advice? And yet, how to dry plums? Thank you

I make chips from plums, which is not profitable because they are eaten almost still warm.
If interested, cut the plums into 0.5 cm slices, put them on trays and dry.

Try to put a few figs together with the plum, see what happens.

Thank you, Admin, I will definitely try your method. Here's another way to dry plums, was described in a brochure from my dryer: "Wash, put in a colander and blanch, immersing for 2-3 seconds in a boiling soda solution (5 g per 1 liter of water). After blanching, plums are immediately cooled with cold water. " For what, and are these manipulations necessary? Can you just lay out the halves and dry?
But I have a big Hungarian tree and I want to prepare prunes.

I just wash the plums, remove the seeds, cut them into thin slices - and hello, dry. Believe me, this is not a very profitable business, everything is eaten very quickly, you get such sour plates, pleasant to the taste, it is good to add them to herculean porridge (Bystrov with homemade plum chips without preservatives). And you have a whole tree - some kind of grace, there is where to roam. The chips will dry out overnight.

Admin, tell me what you can do with cherry plum?

Cherry plum can be dried, but it will take a long time in the dryer. It is good to stew lamb meat with such cherry plum, and even add to soups.
I like cherry plum jam or jam, berries and 1x1 sugar more, it turns out very tasty.
Can be frozen and then added to thick meat soup, especially with mutton well.

Admin, thanks for your reply. I have a lot of frozen cherry plum, but it's good when there is light. It is not clear what is happening with nature. afraid for the freezer. So you will have to do the conservation, but you don't want to.

Here I put the drain, and began to read, I see that Admin writes - you can leave the dryer turned on overnight. And what are the modes for unblanched plum halves? The instructions say that at first 1 to 3 hours, but the same for blanched ...

The plum costs 40 minutes, I feel that there is a burnt smell - it turns out that juice has dripped onto the heaters and it burns, what should I do, turn it off and when it cools down to wash it ??? Or shouldn't they be washed?

Dried prunes https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=144159.0 here I have described in detail the process of drying plums in sugar.

If the vegetables-fruits-greens are very wet before drying, I immediately turn on the high temperature in order to remove excess moisture in a few hours, then you can dry the product at lower temperatures. But if the product is thick, sugar, it is still better to dry it at high temperatures.

Instructions are instructions, but practice suggests that sometimes you need to do it differently to achieve the best drying results. To do this, I watch the drying process a lot and adjust it along the way.

Drying trays are perfectly dishwasher safe. If the product drips, you can first put the marshmallow tray underneath until the liquid dries on them.

Thanks for the advice, but I have a Summer Resident 4, there is no pallet for marshmallows, and I understand that I will soak everything, but I say that the RADIATORS are now all in burnt juice with pulp. After all, you can't soak them, you can't scrape them off, you probably have to wait until they burn. Everything happened on mode "3" for the first 40 minutes, the plum lay in halves, skin side down, not blanched. Is it really just me that happened, no one got on the emitters?

I also dried plums this summer. Divided into halves, turned with a hedgehog - pulp upwards. The main thing was not to overdry. Sour and tasty
A question to Admin-Tatiana: where did our countryman and our countryman get to with dried cucumbers - salty and sweet ?? Were there! And it was also good. I wanted to make this addition there in Temka, but did not find

Should be in place, I wanted to highlight them in a separate topic - you need to look in the recipes Here https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=295561.0

I actually have a different dryer. I understand that this is no longer very relevant, from the first of September ... But - for the future - to prevent such a problem, you can use baking paper, put it on a pallet and already on it - plums or whatever may leak. Or - under the pallet so that it drips onto the paper. And what to do with emitters is a question! I sympathize ... How did you get out of the situation? I do not think that this case can be washed, there are big doubts about this.
