Plums in their own juice

Plums in their own juice

Ingredients

Plums

Cooking method

  • It was a successful year for the plum harvest !!! Already made compotes, and preserves, and jams .... It was the turn for plums in their own juice. Then it can be used to make stewed fruit, jelly, sauces, and so with sugar, and make fillings.
  • I took big fleshy plums.
  • Wash the jars well with water. Fold the prepared washed plums in them to the top and put in a saucepan with water and a water bath over medium heat. Do not forget to put a towel under the jar so that it does not crack.
  • As the plum begins to let out juice and decrease in volume, add more fruits, and so on until there is enough juice and plums in the jar. The plum settles by 1/3 - that's for sure, or even more ...
  • Soak a little more on fire (10 - 15 minutes), roll up the lid, turn the jar over, wrap until cool.
  • How long it takes to prepare such a plum in time, I cannot say for sure, since plums are different ...

You can do it like this. Ripe, healthy fruits are washed and allowed to drain. Cut the plums into halves, remove the seeds and place them tightly cut down into prepared jars, sprinkling each row with sugar (150-200 g per 500 ml jar, 200-300 g per liter). Jars are covered with lids and pasteurized: jars with a capacity of 500 ml - 15 minutes, liter jars - 25 minutes (from the moment the water boils). Immediately after processing, the cans are hermetically sealed. Honestly - I did not do that, but the recipe is kept in a notebook!

fomca, Svetlana, I pick up your recipe from the "archive"!
This year, too, almost everyone has a huge harvest of plums! So it is very relevant!
Moreover, these plums can be used in winter (pre-blended) for making pastilles in drying. And anyway - such a plum will go wherever!

Nice recipe! You need to send your husband to the drain
Thank you

Why did I come across a recipe so late? : girl_cray: Only the leftovers from the bucket of plums on the jam was credited.

Tatyana, nothing, next year you will do it for sure!)

Made three 0.5 liter jars. Wrapped up cool down.
For the first time I did this with sterilization.
I put the jars of plums in the water, covered them with steamed lids, and covered all this with an inverted pan.
After a while, I filled up the jars and everything was warmed up again. Right?

That is, it is not necessary to separate the plum from the seeds? Directly with them to the banks?
fomca
Alla, that's right, with bones.
Lelka, a year has passed, and I have not seen the message ((((You did everything right.
