About Indian brass they write that there is a lot of marriage
🔗
Turks of this series should not be taken through an online store because of the wildest amount of rejects: cracks, moreover, through, uneven bottom. My colleague and I at different times chose from several displayed in the window, 1 out of 5 normal ones come across. The quality of the Indians leaves much to be desired.
It was such an interesting time that I traded a little with these Indian brass Turks. No, there was not much marriage, but it’s like a souvenir product - it looks great on the shelf, a beautiful gift. But to brew coffee in it ... the same Pyatigorsk copper Turks are much better (what shape, what materials) at a much lower price and widespread availability. And the coating inside raises questions in food use, it was positioned as "silver plating", but definitely not it and not tin. Purely warn
There are a lot of them on Wb, there are quite beautiful ones with thick walls, but I cross them out of the list, I don't want them from brass anymore.

Take directly 🔗... I took C3 and C4 on February 14th. There were some troubles with the carrier, but in early April I received it. Everything is fine with them.
By the way, they now have a 20% discount and free shipping.
Received yesterday, May 25, the SOY Turk ordered on May 15 on the corporate website. I chose the size C2, by 120 ml (more precisely, by 140 - but this is if you pour it to the very edges). My old nameless turkey for 220-230 ml, brought to our region from somewhere in the CIS, always seemed a little too big to me.
The difference is, of course, striking. The walls of SOY are plump, otherwise you will not say. The "neck" has a metal thickness of 2.3 mm! Even if the walls and bottom are thinner, then my old one is still next to it - a tin. Well, the weight speaks for itself - 262 grams (SOY) versus 165.

I have been using Turkai Soy c3 for a year now - the handle does not heat up at all! Apparently because of the long handle. Decent weight - very high quality made. By the way, in Istanbul it is not so easy to buy it - I found only two retail stores that sell them - mostly the markets are littered with rubbish of 300-500 rubles for tourists. I have not seen better quality Turks yet.

But in the wake of recent discussions, I bought myself a Turk, which is not expensive, but one might even say cheap, supported a reputable manufacturer
I want to say that the Turk is very worthy both in appearance and manufacturing method (it is stretched out of a whole piece of copper), the size for me is optimal 300ml, coffee is 250ml, exactly 2 coffee cups,

I haven't grown to one cup yet

The coffee turned out delicious, in short, this Turk is not a compromise, but a full member in the family of my Turks. Well, Jay will fly, where will she go

I watched a Turkish film today and was surprised that a Turkish woman made coffee in a stainless steel Turk. The film is quite fresh, the kitchen was modern.
It seemed to me somehow inauthentic ... but maybe people in Turkey don't bother too much, as in Russia, about the material of the Turks themselves? does it make sense then to "poison" the periodic table or buy a safe stainless steel turret?

Well, logically, shouldn't they drink bad coffee? There, almost from childhood, future brides are raised so that they can brew the right coffee for the groom and matchmakers for matchmaking ... in short, I am somewhat confused by what I saw
It was in Istanbul. Maybe they have completely Germanized / Europeanized? it is known that rich Turks often move to Germany or America. And in Europe they are very concerned about the environmental friendliness of materials.

And I don't think I like this Turkish coffee. Yes, Turkish women just do not know how to cook it. If they brewed coffee in a stainless steel, then this is considered lucky, because most often it is brewed in an electric plastic Turk. At first I was surprised - elderly guests came to congratulate my mother-in-law on the holiday, and the daughters-in-law made coffee for them in a huge plastic turk. To my surprise, they replied that the stainless steel is small, and there are a lot of guests, why bother if there is no difference in taste.
As for the brides who have been trained there since childhood ... I can say one thing - not all. Our niece got married at the age of 26, and until that time she did not hold the Turks in her hands. Well, the guests are in the hall, and in the kitchen the little sister made coffee, poured it, put it on a tray and handed it to our bride, who came out so beautifully and treated the matchmakers with a drink.

I took this Turk, because the ceramic one broke after 4.5 months of use, and so that coffee would still be there when the next ceramic one breaks)) I don't want to buy copper. And I realized that I would not take a copper one, I would still take a stainless steel and then a ceramic one for it in a pair from Ceraflame or Walmer.

Sterling (English Sterling [silver]) - the name of an alloy of 92.5% (and above) silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper (925 sterling silver and above). Sterling 999 sterling silver is too soft for making large objects, so it is usually alloyed with copper to give strength while maintaining the ductility and beauty of the noble metal.

As a ligature instead of copper or together with it, attempts were made to use other metals to improve quality - to reduce porosity, increase wear resistance, to tint color, and eliminate blackening. For these purposes, germanium, zinc, platinum or titanium were used, as well as various additions - silicon, boron. However, the copper alloy remains the de facto standard.

The best is a combination of copper and silver tinning. I look here at the prices, the emphasis is not put, then this option is the best. Moreover, if silver during operation on fire, in my opinion, will not look very good, then the "aging" of copper on the outside will be very well combined with internal silvering. I would prefer this option if you have a "found on the road wallet"
