290 g
Salt pinch
Sugar 70 g
Margarine (cold) 170 g
Baking powder 14-15 g
Buttermilk 120 g
Fruits:
Berries
(to your taste,
preferably red)
(I have a frozen mixture)
400 g
Apple (thinly sliced wedges) 2 pcs.
220 g
Apple (grated) 1 PC.
110 g
Pear
(with skin, cut into thin slices)
1 PC.
120 g
Sugar 5 tbsp. l.
Balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp. l.
Sugar for sprinkling

Cooking method

  • Advice:
  • Buttermilk replacement
  • If you don't have buttermilk, making your own "sour" milk is pretty easy and will replace buttermilk in any recipe. Pour in 2/3 tbsp. spoon lemon juice or vinegar into a glass measuring cup, and then add milk to get 150 ml of liquid. Stir and let stand for 5 minutes until thickened. That's the only thing I do, buttermilk here - in the afternoon with fire ...
  • Preparation:
  • Prepare fruit. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and put on low heat until the juice is released with red berries.
  • Then transfer them to a fireproof baking dish.
  • Preheat oven to 190 gr.
  • At this time, prepare the dough. Pour flour and pieces of cold margarine into a bowl. While stirring, knead into crumbs with a fork (or in any way known and convenient for you).
  • Add sugar, salt and buttermilk. Mix quickly with a wooden stick. Try not to knead for a long time!
  • Take a small amount of dough with a spoon and spread over the still hot fruit.
  • Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for about 30 minutes. to a ruddy color.
  • My comments:
  • I used frozen berries. I let it boil for just a couple of minutes, because frozen berries release juice faster and in greater quantities than fresh ones.
  • The original recipe used: 2 sliced apricots, 1 pear sliced with skin, 1/2 grated apple, 130 g blueberries, 130 g blackberries and 130 g raspberries.

Note

For those who like fruits! Or like this: for those who like pies! No! Better this way: for those who like pies and fruits!
Delicious dessert. Summer! Fresh!

Sour berries complement the sweetness of the fruit and pie.

Jamie Oliver's tip: Can be done with any fruit and berry, but preferably with strawberries, apricots, apples, pears, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
Well what can I say ... Juicy, unusual. As a summer dessert - the very thing! Jamie Oliver has no bad recipes!

Bon Appetit!

P.S. I baked this cake-dessert for the arrival of my Portuguese friend ... Wonderful cheerful girl ... So it turned out that when we bought an apartment, she also became my neighbor ... Not around the house, but down the street ... Now we began to see each other even more often .. and so ... We agreed about our girls' get-togethers .. She brought a bottle of super-duper port wine, and I was sweet ...

By the way, port, as we call it, is a real Portuguese wine from the Porto region. Stunned, I tell you ... Only on the bottom and left .. Well, while talking about this and that, we ate this delicious ... Tomorrow diet ... And today I do not even regret that I ate so much. All the more I comfort myself with the fact that there was still so much fruit ...
