Jam "Tea Rose"
Category: Blanks
Ingredients
Tea rose petals 100 g
Sugar 100 g
Cooking method

Rub thoroughly in a porcelain mortar or enamel saucepan with a wooden pestle or spoon until a homogeneous gruel is obtained. We prepare separately syrup from 500 gr. sugar and 1 tbsp. (200 ml.) water.
When the syrup boils for 5-7 minutes, add freshly prepared gruel of rose petals with sugar to it
and cook until tender for 10-12 minutes.
Second way:
For 100 gr. prepared rose petals take 900 gr. sugar, 2 gr. citric acid and 2-2.5 tbsp. water for sugar syrup. Rinse the tea rose petals, then blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes, cool. We use the water remaining after blanching to prepare the sugar syrup. We prepare the syrup for pouring 40% of the strength (i.e., according to the above proportions). Cook in one go until cooked.

Note
The jam according to the first recipe, personally, I liked it more ... although many who tasted both recipes liked the second recipe more ... but, as they say about tastes, there is no dispute. Both recipes have been tested and tasted many times.

As I already wrote, I did not really understand the smell and taste of rose petals in jam, but my family really like it, and therefore, it's worth trying ... well, at least for the sake of sports interest. I tried other methods of making this jam (the Internet is replete with recipes), but on the advice of home (they are also the main eaters) I stopped at these (recipes are taken from an old canning book).

Can you make this jam from rosehip petals?
Marincha
Crochet , and can you make jam from ordinary roses or just tea ones? and what does it mean prepared?

I cooked it much easier: I poured syrup over the petals and heated them to a boil at intervals of several hours. I didn't cut off the ends. Petals (those grown for rose oil) from rose plantations are sold in the market.
Rose jam works well with a pip.

Hello everyone! This year I made this jam in cotton. I went through the petals, removed the green leaves, kneaded it with my hands, put it in a bucket, covered it with sugar (according to the recipe above), poured some water and switched it on to the "Jam" mode. After 1.3 minutes, the jam is ready. Thanks x / n, my beloved.

Today I cooked jam for 500 grams of petals according to the first recipe, only at the end of cooking I added juice from one lemon. The taste and color have definitely won. Exit: about 700 gr.
