I cook this dish when there is no time to mess around for a long time. This is the case when "modestly, but tastefully."

"Onion roast"

500 gr of meat (pork or beef)
5 large onions
salt, pepper, bay leaf, peppercorns

We cut the meat as you like, salt, pepper, fry in a cauldron in vegetable oil until golden brown. Chop the onion into thin rings, add the meat to it, add bay leaf and peppercorns, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, over low heat until the onion turns into a homogeneous mass and the meat becomes soft.
