Piano, somewhere it seems that Tanya-Admin had a recipe for such a melon. I think you will find it through a search engine.

Piano, I haven't tried mashed melon, I ice it in syrup, everyone is happy. I cut a melon into cubes (about 1.5x1.5 cm. (I can add another peach / nectarine without the skin), cook the syrup (sugar + water). While the syrup cools down, lay out the fruit in containers, pour the cooled syrup and into the freezer. If you need puree, This can be fermented by removing the melon from the syrup.
I also make watermelon and grapes. I just frozen the grapes with berries, but I tried it in syrup and liked it more, now that's the only way.

Thank you girls, we have a season, melons 3 kg for a dollar, we need to stock up

And I somehow froze a melon. Sugarless. The melon was delicious, but in winter after defrosting it turned out to be shapeless and without tasty muck. I wanted to eat melons, not smoothies, nor compotes, nor syrups. And just melons.
It's easier for me to dry it))
Svetta
I dried the melon in the dryer with skibki, then kept it in the freezer. In winter, after defrosting, it was well sooo tasty and sweet, aromatic. Well, it's understandable, the melon is already withered. But in the freezer, it did not dry out and did not grow moldy.
Venera007
How is it skibkami?
Svetta
Not discounts, but skibki, well, slices.

I fully subscribe to every word I liked the frozen melon just like that

Aaa, with discounts, this phone is naughty, I fixed it. I dry the melon with simple slices. Even if you dry the most tasteless and juicy, dried it is very tasty))

I didn’t notice it, I’m looking at it. When I dried it for the first time, I gave something fishy ... It was somehow. But in subsequent times this was not the case.
Maybe it depends on what the melon was fed / watered with? I had a fish about 4 years ago. Maybe 5 years have passed. I don't remember exactly. I remember that there was a torpedo. And now the collective farmer usually has land, we don't buy torpedoes, they are more expensive, and the collective farmer is also tasty, so I see no reason to overpay

That made me happy. And then I thought I was already cuckoo.

Give her another chance.
Venera007
Not cuckoo. I think it was just such a melon. But after drying every year I sniff. Not repeated yet. But peaches do ...

And dried melon gave me a terrible pumpkin. I threw it away.

Tell me, please, if you grate the zucchini and freeze it, can you then make zucchini pancakes from it? I think so, just as it defrosts, all the excess water will go away. Or will it be nonsense?

It is better to immediately grate salt squeeze and freeze in portions
Canned food
caprice23Natasha, I have been doing this for many years - rub and freeze in a bag. When defrosting, I put the zucchini directly into the sieve and the excess moisture gradually drains off during the defrosting process. But I have zucchini, there is less moisture than in ordinary zucchini, so I do not squeeze it either before or after defrosting. Good luck!
Sometimes I put too much flour into the thawed zucchini - in this case I dilute it with the juice obtained during defrosting, that is, it does not need to be poured out immediately. The pancakes are great!
Beska
I reread the whole topic almost in one breath - and where have I been without such information? Now I'm wondering how to persuade my husband to go to the freezer. Our freezer in the refrigerator is not great, but we want so many things.
caprice23
Beska, Olga, just take the big one right away. I've just bought a freezer, which seems to be not the smallest, usable volume of 134 liters, I just started to fill it, and already, I feel, everything will not fit, which I planned
Eh, liters would be 200

I am also very glad that I bought a freezer.
But with regards to the volume, that's someone like.
If there are no orchards, then medium-sized is not bad at all. I have 5 pallets, plus 2 refrigerators with large frost chambers.
Quite enough and everything is free, not glued.

Girls, I have a refrigerator with 4 drawers, a stall for 230 and a vertical stand for the same amount, there is nowhere to fish for meat and fish, but for good reasons, I also need a box for bread / buns-pies -Therefore, if you take it, you must take it with a margin. This year, although there is no big harvest (I don't have a summer residence, I buy from the owners during the season), but I started to cook cheese, which means that I need a place for cottage cheese / ricotta / cheese and whey, even if it is stripped off - bread on it is a fairy tale, right butter bun without anything.
And in October they offered to take the meat - they will cut the bull, now I grind the berries in mashed potatoes from the freezer and in cans without sugar in the shuck, and the juice is frozen, how can I not drink this year (during the winter the pear flew away - all 50 liters very quickly)

Yarik, Yaroslavna, yeah, gives, but not always! You can't guess))

Natasha, I repeat, as anyone.
I’m not going to cook cheese, I don’t have mountains of berry blanks, and no one is planning to cut and sell the bull, and I don’t make stocks of bread, rolls and pastries. Speckla, in packages and in the freezer. Ate and over again
Maybe you also. But I have a 230L freezer on my floor

Mirabel, Venera007, caprice23, girls all have their own needs - my close friend has one refrigerator with funny (for me) two freezer drawers and she has enough for everything. But she has purchased bread / meat / sausage - and so every day. It's easier for me to spend time harvesting seasonal, ripened vegetables / fruits, summer milk and pre-winter stew / meat and then go to the store only for the source code - flour, sugar, etc. even though my husband and I are alone, children separately, but I try not to buy a store food - baked goods / sausages - meat / stew / sauces, etc. in general, that's why we have three freezers and two of the children are full. And if Lyalka suddenly wanted a profiterole / ice cream / pie, then you can get it out of the box or at our place or at home. And all this is not because of the good life, but because in our stores now these are not products, especially not in season. That's why I got into cheese

I have been doing this for many years. I freeze grated zucchini for just zucchini pancakes and zucchini-apple-cottage cheese pancakes. I never squeeze out the liquid beforehand, defrost it in a strainer, the excess liquid is decanted.
And I also freeze zucchini cubes in bags, for stews or soups. Also for a cube cutter and immediately into packages. Very comfortably!

How do you prepare pear juice?

How do you prepare pear juice?
Maybe I don't understand something, but why freeze the juice?
More than 50 liters of pear juice + apples + white grapes in that, and already this year, just rolled up under lids in jars. Great juice, when you need to take it, open the jar and enjoy the winter. Even juice from the refrigerator does not go well for me in winter, and even more so from freezing. But this is my opinion, each has its own. But wasting precious space on juice
Even though my chest is not small, 310 liters, and + 4 boxes in the refrigerator, there is sorely lack of space for other berry and fruit preparations.
caprice23
Mirabel, Vika, gobies are also not planned and I don’t make cheese, I don’t freeze pastries, only bread. But I realized that it would be 200-250 liters. Well now, let it be 134 and 3 freezer drawers in the refrigerator. Anything is better than nothing.
September
Nila, I also do not freeze juice, I am interested in who cooks how, it is pear. I run all juices, except for tomato, through a juicer. You can still use a juicer, but mine is weak, not for large volumes. Different options are interesting. I mainly make pears with ginger. I would like to make juice this year.
kartinka
September, Olechka, everything is quite simple - I squeezed it out on a juicer, poured it into bottles (I have Shishkin forest rectangular from water, they are very compact for 1 liter) and into the freezer.

caprice23, Natasha, separate freezers (if there is such an opportunity) are more convenient, I have a separation-1 fruits / vegetables 2 meat / fish 3 juices / ready meals / milk. Separation is actually a necessary thing, because even in stores there are different containers
nila
September, Olga, talk about making juices for this topic, so I'll send it under the sploer

if you are just interested in making juice, then yes, we chop pears-apples and pass them through a juicer. I didn't like the juice at all through the juicer. A large sediment is obtained through the juicer, and we only drink pure juice. I have a powerful Philips juicer, a bucket of pears at a time easily passes, but after experimenting I set it aside. But I have been using juicers for over 30 years. I always threw away the steamed fruit. But this year I also got a screw juicer. This year I tried to drive steamed apples, grapes and pears through the auger and fell in love. It turns out a real puree, like for baby food.

Here is the mashed potatoes, which I passed through the auger, I either closed in jars or frozen. With the addition of sugar or not, I already looked at the circumstances here, I just signed the tags so as not to get confused in winter.
It's great if there are many freezer shelves where you can zone everything. This is the superiority of the vertical freezer. However, this has already been discussed 100 times here. I do not have this opportunity, so everything is mine - these are boxes, containers or strong bags.

Girls, thanks! Understood about pear juice. The freezer is too small, and I want to stuff a lot of things there.

Girls, can you please tell me if it is possible to freeze baked peppers and eggplants in the form of salads or caviar, with garlic and butter? So, to eat, so as not to twist in the jars.
Lika_n
I freeze ready-made caviar)), I can't cut and fry in quantity so that there is at least a couple of cans, and so from a portion that I fry, part for food, part for freezing.
nila
Mrs. Addams, Arina, can my method help you? Here I described how I freeze sweet peppers after grilling for caviar and other delicacies, but you can freeze eggplants just like that.

is it possible to freeze baked peppers and eggplants in the form of salads or caviar, with garlic and oil?
For three years I have been freezing stews in portions - eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs.
Fine! Now I practice doing this gradually - I cook a larger portion, eat half, freeze half. I noticed that it tastes better than cooking a huge portion for freezing at once and the pieces are more whole.
So far, this is the best option for me.

Frozen. One of these days I'll try what happens. As a last resort, you have to throw it away. In any case, I couldn't eat it all right now.

Arugula after the freezer: I made a rocket salad with onions, tomatoes and arugula from the freezer. Over the weekend I will buy and freeze more. Liked. Added after the onions and tomatoes were cooked, right before pouring with the egg.

Freeze coarsely cut, in a large zip-bag in a loose state, not lumpy.

Babushka, Tatyana, does arugula turn into a rag after defrosting? Not suitable for salads?

So all salads turn into a rag. Leafy only in smoothies after freezing. Well, or right away into an omelet or soup ...
I break spinach and other herbs with water or cucumber with an immersion blender, ice them in small ice cube trays. And then - it's useful in smoothies or cream soups and everyone thinks that they don't eat spinach))
Babushka
Natasha, I did not defrost. I added it to the tomato and onion and immediately poured it over with an egg.

And here is homemade spaghetti with tomato sauce, arugula and cheese. Also did not defrost. I added it to the hot sauce and immediately poured over the spaghetti and sprinkled with cheese.

Definitely, I will freeze. I love arugula very much, and in winter we have it rarely and at a very inhumane price.

Elena, agree.

Nelechka, thanks for the link to the pepper, it turned out to be just the topic!
I'll try to freeze a little at least, it's a good idea to eat part of it and part in the freezer

I boast, and in the spring I bought freezing molds on Ali, cubes 5x5x5 cm. It turned out a little expensive, but how convenient !!! I took two forms with lids, 8 cubes each and two without lids, 4 cubes each. All together it turned out to be about 1200 rubles, it was still catching discounts.

In general, I have frozen cubes: grated zucchini, cucumbers; apricots, peaches, raspberries, gooseberries, strawberries, cherries, plums, red currants - all with a blender. Plus spinach and other green salads, smoothie blender. Awesome space saving! Well, it's very convenient: I make compotes from berries, two cubes + sugar + filtered water. Zucchini and cucumbers in soup or in a stew - the cube is not audible and not visible there)) but someone still thinks that they don't eat zucchini)) well, or a couple of cubes + egg and flour for pancakes = multi-baker and breakfast for babies))
In the photo - a couple of boxes from the freezer (herbs, berries). Another chest is also almost under the lid))
