francevnawhat an unusual combination! Need to try. Only there is no buckwheat, no milk, not even a pressure cooker now (element is such a pressure cooker, and the polaris does not block the lid). But the main thing is not a pnibor, but an idea, very curious.
francevna
Anna67, Anya, porridge is being prepared here without pressure. I cooked this combination of cereals for the first time, I liked the taste.
The main thing here is that the grinding of the cereals is the same.
Anna67
francevna, yeah, separately, and this and that, and cook together the maximum that came to mind is unsuccessful rice and semolina. I have already got confused with all sorts of different proportions, I cooked rice milk 1: 2, saying to myself "if by 1.5, then it will work out aldente, but I don't need it" and for a long time I was surprised to open pots in the morning why the porridge was crumbly, and not a mess

element is such a pressure cooker

Anna, can you give more details? Now I took the element (although it is still traveling), it is interesting to know its capabilities, there is also a Polaris in the plans - that there would be a small pot, therefore I am sitting here in the bushes
Anna67
kartinka, yes, he himself is the second day, and therefore I am writing that she is to herself - in the sense that she is on her own mind and what to expect from her on which mode of three cereals in what proportion of cereal and water you cannot immediately understand.
So the recipe francevna I started to learn from ordinary buckwheat and I don't know what it will be

Kartinka, Marina take Polaris is still there. Nice little MV-SV. And you will quickly master Elik, that he doesn’t understand what he himself tells you, you won’t be mistaken. In the meantime, he is coming to you, look at the recipes for Elik, everyone posted the recipes of the prepared dishes there.

Anna, I cook buckwheat in water 1: 2, on the "cereals" program under pressure, without changing anything.

My husband asked me to cook borscht at the weekend. And to be sure in the staff, because from the staff he likes borscht most of all. I also like it, but at the staff I don't know how to cook in small portions, and if I cook a lot, we don't eat. I persuaded him at my own peril and risk to cook in polaris. I assumed he liked pressure cooked.
Bottom line: the husband said that it turned out the same as in the staff. That is, I was satisfied))) Well, I'm also happy, of course. So our polaris cooks like an "adult" pressure cooker)))
francevna
Evgeniya, on what program did you cook borscht?

O Morale, Alina, thanks for the story about pilaf, it's very interesting, but I didn't use this program, I thought it took a long time, but it turns out that everything is great!
You asked above how much cottage cheese is obtained. Yesterday I decided to weigh it, and I was surprised myself: the milk was less than 2 liters, the cottage cheese turned out to be 460g, though not dry.
wow, it turned out decently
Annutka
Omorale, Alina, what proportions of rice and water in pilaf?
Omorale
Quote: velli

Omorale, Alina, please tell us everything about pilaf, how much and what you took, the ratio of rice to water. Plov never cooked in a pressure cooker anymore in Kuzin, or in a Philips multicooker (with a window). I would like to try it in Polechka. You have a very beautiful pilaf and delicious.
in short, I take meat, onions and carrots by eye. so that not a little and not a lot) well, the one who at least once cooked pilaf understands me.
I had to do everything faster, time was running out. so I fried the meat in a frying pan, and carrots and onions in parallel in a multi. all in oil, of course.
the meat is fried - I put it in the bowl to the vegetables.I threw in spices (I take salt, pepper, cumin, dried barberry, garlic, bay leaf), put rice on top (I only have round-grain rice at home, I use it for everything), I filled it with water.
rice-water ratio 1: 2. as a result, the water covers the contents by about 1 finger's width. all. I closed the lid, squeaked "pilaf" and got ready for the terrible time, didn't change it, left it as it is, 1 hour.
how it was cooked there - xs. but the lid locked, the car behaved decently, the countdown went off and at some point peaks of readiness were heard. I was surprised how the program interrupted itself, but you see the result in the photo
the liquid, at the same time, has not completely evaporated! and this is very important! the pilaf turned out as it should be, not sticky and at the same time completely not dry.

This program turned out to be very convenient and versatile.
after pilaf, I tested it on sauces (roast) potatoes / meat and chicken liver / meat. how it itself determines the degree of readiness - xs. but everything turns out great
for potatoes / meat, I fried meat separately in a pan. so it is faster and the frying area is larger. tossed everything together, topped up a little water and pick "pilaf". the scheme is the same. turned off by itself and everything was perfectly ready and at the same time not boiled over.
the liver and potatoes were loaded raw, not processed. did not add water at all. the same story. fine
(potatoes in medium-sized cubes, but not soup-sized, of course, larger.)

aa, I also cooked potatoes with chicken drumsticks. fry the legs in a bowl. yummy!

and yesterday I was making pea soup.
I prefer to cook with ready-made broth. on raw meat only in case of emergency.
shorter. while the broth was cooking (I had a piece of pork shoulder with a bone), I fried onions / carrots on the stove, cut the smoked chicken leg (removed the skin), cut the potatoes. that's all the preparations)
the broth was cooked, I took out the meat, removed the bone and cut it in portions. I threw everything into a bowl + peas (the most common, chipped, did not soak anything). I poured it with water, salted it with tasty salt, threw in the lavrushka, closed it and squeaked "soup". everyone, let's go for a walk.
came - the delicious potato soup is ready as expected, not boiled, the peas are boiled perfectly, that's right almost to a puree state. everything as we love
no photo, the current that the children ate soup)

Evgeniya, on what program did you cook borscht?
I fried overcooking in frying, cooked soup in soup)))
Since the water was poured into a hot pot, I boiled it first. Therefore, I set the "Soup" program to the minimum time. The pressure dropped by itself.
velli
Omorale, Alinochka thank you for the detailed description of pilaf cooking! I will cook pilaf for the first time in this pressure cooker, and your advice will be useful to me. Plov cooked in different cartoons and pressure cookers and everywhere the result was different. I didn’t inspire in Oursson, but I liked it in Element. Now I'll try it in Polechka.
N @ t @ liya
Alinochka, thank you for the detailed and delicious descriptions of the preparation of various dishes! Valya, good luck, I hope Polechka will cope with pilaf, just like Alina's will be delicious. what you lick your fingers!
Rick
Interesting ... In general, we like pilaf most of all from a cauldron on a stove. And here I really wanted to try) So Alina describes everything deliciously
Omorale
Girls, yes to your health!))
Try it. You may or may not like it, everyone has different gastronomic preferences. But you can always customize a recipe or program for yourself.
That's how much I already have this unit, not a single disappointment. Tttt, so far everything suits and succeeds as it seems
I never tire of praising the preliminary shutdown of automatic heating as a separate item. This is a super feature! I leave home without fear "what is there and how" knowing that the device simply turns off
velli
Omorale, Alina I agree with you 100% that Heating is a unique function. I once cooked pea soup with smoked brisket, and when the Soup program worked, the pressure cooker switched to Heating automatically (I forgot to turn it off before leaving home). When I came and opened the pressure cooker, I tasted it and I didn't like it.The soup was overcooked, the peas were boiled until mashed potatoes, the potatoes were whole, and the soup had a strange aftertaste with pronounced smokiness and even sourness. Everything on which the meat was smoked turned into soup, and the brisket became tasteless. I had to pour it out. Now, taught by bitter experience, I strictly follow this function when I cook peas with smoked meats and forcibly release the pressure to open the lid as quickly as possible. When I cook cabbage soup, I do not turn off the function, I give it 5-10 minutes to sweat and only then turn it off from the socket.
Rick
And I, on the contrary, set the minimum cooking time, and then the pressure goes down on its own, and not forcibly.
Anna67
Somehow I did not come across a single multi where it would be impossible to turn off the heating, so this function is not interesting.
And another thing is interesting - is there a program that works before the evaporation of the liquid?
Marpl
Anya, read Alina's posts - O Morale, she describes everything in detail.
Anna67
Judging by the description of the modes, there is nothing like that, except that the overheating sensor where will work ...
I just want both pressure and sensory, and even three liters, although when there was a pressure cooker and a cartoon with express mode I didn't need it)))
francevna
I saw in the store a mixture of cereals (rice + millet) for cooking in bags.
I thought that these cereals were at home, I decided to cook milk porridge.
Round grain rice + millet, together 1 glass (I have it a little more than a cartoon glass.
Groats + water + milk = 1: 2: 2. + a little butter. I didn't add salt and sugar.
The program "milk porridge", checked after an hour and a half.
There was no liquid, the porridge was snow-white, the aroma of millet was a little felt, but it was not clear where it disappeared. Looks like pure rice!
What a delicious porridge it turned out. The grandson added condensed milk for sweetness, I a little honey.
My husband liked it too.

What other combinations of cereals to find to make it so tasty.
Anna67
Rice + millet is "Friendship" porridge. Delicious and sunny.
And I can't find a cut, well, as you used to look for a core around one cut, but vice versa
For that I got green lentils. There is barley groats, can you try it instead of buckwheat?

Omorale
girls, what kind of millet do you take?
I did not get a porridge mix rice + millet (((I did everything as they said, it was so tasty, but the rice boiled down perfectly, and the millet among this mass remained grainy and hard, well, thickly too much for my taste (but this is for someone like ).

What kind of millet do you take?
In general, I never bothered. What I got, I take it. I'll tell you in detail how I do it (thanks to my daughter! I taught) 1/2 multi-glass of a mixture of millet + round grain rice + corn grits, rinse thoroughly under cold running water and put it in a small Redmond bowl, add 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar and a piece of butter. Usually I do all this in the evening and leave the preparation of porridge in this form until the morning. In the morning, as soon as I woke up, I pour 400 ml of milk and turn on the "Milk porridge" mode for 30 minutes. While doing all the morning procedures, it can take from 40 minutes to 1 hour. That is, the cooked porridge still costs a little on heating. It turns out two servings of delicious porridge.
Rick
I just do it without oil. Then I add it to the plate.
I haven't done it in this slow cooker yet, well, once only at the very beginning, because we have porridge on weekends, and in summer we don't come home on weekends

Well, I still had to bring the porridge to the readiness of millet. delicious. but I will have to adjust the time or buy a better millet, I have the simplest one from the store under the house

Omorale, Alina, I have Uvelka millet — pure, perfect. I stopped buying in simple bags, for me they are suitable for feeding the birds. And this millet has both taste and aroma.

Today I cooked a mixture of 2/3 and 1/3 corn buckwheat, water, milk. I didn't like this combination.

I have already cooked borscht in this saucepan several times. It turns out really, as in Shtebe. And my husband only eats borscht from her. I tried it in different multicooker and in Orson, everything is not right for him. Feels that from Stebik. And then I appreciated it so that the baby continues to delight
Rituslya
I rolled the cutlets, rolled them in flour, fried them, poured them over with tomatoes and on the Stew mode for 2 hours. The float rose and blocked. Honestly, I thought it was a mess, but no. The color of the tomato sauce after two hours is as if it was baked. Interestingly so!

Girls, if the Plov program cooks without pressure, then you need to leave the valve open (that is, press the button on the lid, right)?

no!) the valve and cover must be closed.
the instructions indicate exactly that.
the pressure in the bowl during the operation of this program is recruited by itself, the pressure indicators do not light up.
the program is also turned off in its mode, as it sees fit
N @ t @ liya
Alina, I read your message, and it's already 30 minutes since the pilaf is being prepared and the valve has been left open, went and closed it now. This is my first experience of cooking and pilaf in MV. and working with this program, I cooked more and more on Soup. I'll share later what happened.
Omorale
well, somehow, anyway, it will work out)))
for me this program at one time also became a surprise
N @ t @ liya
So, the Plov program shut down itself after 40 minutes. The lid did not open immediately, after about 10 minutes. Rice to rice pilaf, wet, there was no liquid. This program surprised me very pleasantly! Next time, of course, I'll leave the valve closed right away.
Alina, thank you (can you please?) For the MC about cooking in this CF !!

you can, of course)

it's great that everything worked out great
yes, not at all)) what microns, I myself as a discoverer, all on experiments
