The pearl barley must be soaked for at least 10 hours.
After that, we just boil it in salted water (it is necessary for the water to boil away).
In a frying pan, fry grated carrots and onions in butter. In the process of frying, I lightly sprinkle with vegetable Vegeta.
Put a layer of porridge in a clay pot, then a layer of vegetables and again porridge. Put a thin plate of butter on top and fill it with milk about three quarters of the pot. Then - in the oven at the lowest temperature for one and a half to two hours.

As an independent dish, and very tasty, by the way.
Once I read Mr. Pokhlebkin and this led to the fact that the barley, unloved from childhood, was rehabilitated in my eyes. During the experiments, the following recipe was derived.
Happy owners of multicooker, as always, do not bother with the oven and pots, but use their wonderful machine.
It turns out amazingly delicious. It's surprising because you don't expect at all that something so appetizing can be prepared from barley.
