And then it all depends on the cream and on the layer.
For example, after the first day with marshmallow cream and without a layer (I was too lazy to brew an apricot, I just added it to marshmallows), they were still closer to the biscuits, and on the second day they were already quite soft.
This is when stored under a lid / film. Open, of course, will be drier.
